Jimmy's Garage Door Service

I called Jimmy's and left a message, they called me back in under a few hours and came out to look at our door the next day on CHRISTMAS EVE. They were eventually able to repair the old motor and did not try to sell us a new one unnecessarily although we did decide to go with a whole new system to be safe. They were quick and did fantastic work, very honest and would absolutely hire them again if need be.

Jimmy came by and fixed my busted garage door. He was fast, courteous, and fairly priced. It's now been working great!

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It was good. He was very professional and on time. The services were delivered as agreed. I have already used them again.

It went fine. The wrong parts came in, and we had to reschedule and wait for the correct parts, but the installation was fine, and door works better, so I'm happy!

Jimmy was the first Garage door service company to respond out of many that I called. He came in and was professional and personal. He gave me a good price for a new door and opener. I received quotes from other providers and Jimmy's quote was either in line or better. After a down payment for the door, opener and installation Jimmy ordered the door and it was installed on time and budget. The door was beautiful. C.H.I. Garage Doors makes a nice product and that's what I had installed. The door opener is a Liftmaster belt driven opener with a keypad. Opening of the door is super quiet now. The installation was impeccable. Jimmy's attention to detail was great. I am very handy and can do this type of work myself if I have time and am very picky on how things get done in my home.. somewhat of a micro manager. But Jimmy did things in the same way that I would do it and even at a higher level than I me. Everything was done perfectly and Jimmy asked for my input on the personal things.. like how I wanted my hardware installed which is great.. most services just install it the way they want it without asking for input. He also rebuilt all of the anchor points for the door tracks and the opener and carted the old door and opener away.. Not to mention he swept up the floor in the garage before he left. I have not had a better experience with a vendor/contractor than this one. Great job Jimmy!

They did a good job, they were polite and they did their job thoroughly. He explained to me that perhaps I needed a new door but understood I could not get it right now, so he gave me a catalog I was able to look over. He was polite and explained everything to me.

It was alright. He came out and did the work and I ended up getting some other services done while he was there. I ended up spending around $400.

It was good. He did a good job. He was on time, he was punctual, did what he was supposed to do and did a really good job.

We had purchased a big deal for the service, and he was very efficient. He was here on time, and he did the job. I would recommend him. The service was fairly priced.

My impression was that the opener would need to be replaced. Jimmy was quite sure he could fix it. And he did. It took him more than an hour of fiddling at the innards but he got it working again. Quite a feat considering the other 2 quotes I got all claimed that the opener would need replacing. And to top it all his bill wa more than reasonable. Whole-heartedly recommended.

The technician arrived on time, was pleasant, seemed knowledgeable. I would hire them again.

Came on time and did not leave until job was perfect.

Full tune-up under the deal--including replacing old metal rollers with the quiet plastic ones. Jimmy also worked on the door sensors, springs, and such. He replaced from his own parts missing hardware . Tightened every screw, some so much I'm surprised the hinges hadn't fallen off already. Cleaned the overhead light and got it working again. And so on. I'd gone back inside the house, and every so often I heard the garage door open and close, then sounds of working (once banging, because one of the old screws was stuck). And the door open and close again until the door was quiet enough for him. In the beginning he said nothing almost to the point of being curt, but in retrospect I think that was only because he was so intent on working steadily, as after he was done we had a long talk (I think I was the last job of the day). An important thing he mentioned was that the garage door opener itself--bought by the previous owner--was the top of the line and that if it broke down, I shouldn't replace it. It would only be a matter of a gear. So that's a big saving for me to remember in the future.

This was a text book experience. Jimmy was prompt, courteous, professional, and efficient. He knows all there is to know about garage doors. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. When we replace our 50 year old door next Spring, Jimmy will be the guy!

Fixed our door and moved obstructions causing door to fail.

Jimmy came here and did what he had to do. I purchased a second coupon for him because I have 2 garage doors and I didn't read the fine print carefully when I signed up for this thing but that wasn't the end of the work. He was very efficient doing what he did. He was late by about an hour on an hour and a half. Fortunately, he had to finally show up and it was okay. The garage doors appear to work well. His office did call me back and told me he was going to be late but he was seriously late.

They arrived in the scheduled time window, and set to work immediately. I left the house for work and the service was done professionally and then the garage was locked securely when they were finished. They called me to let me know everything was OK. There was no hard sell for replacements, etc. even though the door was quite old.
