Jeff and his crew did an excellent job with timing the removal and reinstallation of the toilet so the hard wood installers could replace the floor in the powder room and also the installation of the new faucet. We were very pleased with him and his crew. I would use them again and also recommend them.

Plumber was to install new shower and sink fixtures at 9 AM that morning. He called me at 9:10 AM that morning to say that he was not coming. Said his truck broke down the night before. I could understand his needing to reschedule, but he did not call me that night when he knew he could not come, or early the next morning to warn me. When I questioned him about why he did not make me aware in advance that he was not coming at all, he got angry. I hung up. That was it.

All the repair jobs were done quickly and very professionally. They took time to explain what they were doing. They even let me use one of there drills for a fencing job I was working on.. This saved me time and the cost of renting one. Could not be happier with the entire experience. They will now be my go-to plumber.

Last year Jeff replaced my Hot water heater for an excellent price. Yesterday I thought a part was broken on it because no hot water. Jeff sent someone over early in the morning to evaluate and later came over only to find it was a gas problem. He didnt charge me a thing and was super super super nice. As far as I am concerned there is no other plumbers in NJ. Hoffman is in my forever contact list.

I contacted another company off of Angie's list but they did not service my area. So I called Hoffman & Sons. I told them that I did not have hot water all weekend and was unable to relight the pilot. I received a call within a few minutes from the proprietor. Since I did not have a prior appointment, he scheduled me for the end of their day. When Matt, the technician arrived, he was very friendly and polite and took only a couple of minutes to start up my water heater. He took his time showing me how to relight the pilot, if it happened again. Even looked up the model number to let me know how old my water heater was. He also gave me estimates on other things I need to have done in my house. A BIG THANK YOU to Matt!!! I will be calling Hoffman & Sons fo any future plumbing repairs!

I found Hoffman and Sons on Angieslist and contacted them to come out for an estimate to install a new gas line for a fireplace conversion. Jeff replied promptly over email to schedule a time to come out for the estimate. He was also prompt when arriving for the estimate. As a very inquisitive person, I asked Jeff plenty of questions about the process with this type of work along with the inspection process in my county that I wasn't familiar with. Jeff was very patient in answering all my questions and very willing to share his experiences working in the area and in my township. He was also very diligent following up when he applied for the permits needed for the work. He was also very responsive whenever I contacted him about updates to the permits. I especially appreciated Jeff's responsiveness throughout the process. The permit process took an extremely long and at times frustrating process. But Jeff was great in finding out what they wanted, and getting things done. When it was all said and done, Jeff's team arrived promptly the day of the work. They were equally friendly and patient in answering my additional questions. They were very knowledgeable and professional throughout the process. I would definitely use Hoffman & Sons for other work and would recommend them to others.

Technician was professional and arrived on time however, he did not fix the problem and said I would need to order a part that was appx. $250. He cleaned the furnace and that was that. After still experiencing a problem we called another company who came on an emergency basis and fixed the problem. They said I did not need a new part. They only charged me $100 total. A follow up visit cost me nothing. I wouldn't call Schaible again.

We had unique circumstances that required repeated visits. They followed through and did not charge us extra.

I've used them for years. They're very responsive and if there's a problem, they come back to fix it.

Very nice phone contact. Showed up shortly after actual appointment time, but no problems because of it. Very nice plumber who explained what he was doing and why. On an earlier visit he gave me an estimate for the job, and that is exactly what it cost, even though he added a few corrections to my existing system and could have charged me more. I've had a lot of plumbers over the years, but this outfit seems committed to doing the best possible job, when they say they'll do it, and at a fair price. Cleaned up nicely. I recommend them without any reservations.

After joining and researching Angie's List for this expensive plumbing work, contacted Hoffmann & Sons Plumbing & Heating as 1 of 4 plumbers to call for an estimate regarding a water main repair. Initially we had the East Brunswick Water Authority come and check out the issue. This was done promptly. We called the emergency number provided in the blue pages of the local directory and someone was around to look at the leak. The Water Authority concluded that the leak was on our side and so we would have to pay for the repair. The leak was small and of a non emergency nature and there was no loss of pressure in the house. This allowed us time to get estimates and schedule the work. Hoffmann & Sons provided a responsive, punctual and professional estimate experience. The estimate was at the low to middle range of the estimates received. To repair the a section of the water main around the leak and up to 25 feet of pipe the approximate cost was $1,785.00. An estimate to replace the entire water service end to end was not requested and not provided. An up front deposit was not required. Permits not included. However, landscaping was included. Warranty not mentioned. Eventually went with company that was at the high end of the estimates but specializes in underground utility work with minimal digging and ability to restore landscaping to a good standard. In light of experience, would be happy to call Hoffmann & Sons for estimates on future plumbing work. Our thanks to Hoffmann & Sons for their time and estimate.

Jeff, Matthew and Charlie showed up exactly on time and were very professional and informative from start to finish. They were exceptionally neat and clean. The work quality was outstanding. Everything was done exactly as planned for the price quoted. We were extremely pleased and will definitely use them again for any plumbing work and will freely recommend to family and friends. We highly recommend them.

A written estimate was given before all the work as well as an ETA for completion. The job was completed ahead of time. They cleaned up everything and left no mess. Best of all, Jeff arrived ON TIME to the minute.

Jeff and the entire team are extremely professional and very competent. There prices are competitive. We've had them do four jobs so far: Whole house humidification. Sump pump system advice and replacement and the gas portions of a whole house generator. We've also used them for a very simple drain cleaning. They ALWAYS are on time, they do exactly what they say they will, they take care of your house (drop cloth's, shoe covers etc) and they do high quality work. Completely recommend.

They are always on time and come when they are supposed to. I like that they give you options and they are very professional.

They were accomodating in scheduling my appointment, and arrived on time. The total price was what I anticipated, but the quality of the products were not. The powder room toilet and seat are not the same brand. The seat is crooked and too big. For the price of the toilet and installation I expected better. They replaced a good shower head with a $5 version and charged 12X that much. I told them I wanted the toilet seat replaced and wrote it on the invoice and have never heard from them again.

Brian and I spoke several times by phone before we contracted Schaible to replace our steam boiler in our 19th century home. He explained the details of the work to be done and answered my numerous questions about his quote, including the pro's and con's of of the boiler he recommended versus the one I had in mind. When I finished gathering estimates from his competitors, he ran through the details again with great patience and professionalism. Not only was Schaible much more responsive than other companies - their price beat competition by $500. The final decision was easy. When the crew showed up to install the boiler, I found everyone to be as professional and thorough as Brian. I received a thorough explanation of the work they would do and of some ancillary issues (piping to the water heater) that had to be addressed. The work was completed by the end of the day, and even after 12 hours on the job, the technicians took the time to review controls, alerts and maintenance with us for another half hour. Overall a fantastic experience. A highly responsive and professional team that I would recommend to anyone in a and quot;this old houseand quot; situation!

The technician was very professional, didn't try to 'sell me' unnecessary services (which I respect almost more than anything), price was very fair. Without hesitation ... I'd use Schaible's Plumbing/Heating again not only for my A/C service, but for any plumbing/heating issues I might have in the future.

Had occasional probablems with this unit in the past. Other vendors would add freon and consider the problem resolved. After wasting our money with no permanent remedy, we decided to check on Angie's List and see if we could find a vendor that came recommended by a satisfied customer. That's how we found Schaible's. We called. A technician was sent out the next day. He thoroughly checked out the unit electronically and recommended a solution. The unit has performed like new ever since.
