Excellent.

They were prompt, flexible and much more thorough in the quote process than any other. By the time he left, the electrician had traced all the present knob and tube by carefully pulling each junction/ outlet/ switchplate to see what was going on behine them and by checking under floorboards. The quote we received was slightly lower and much more complete in nature than others we received. We WILL most likely use Nassau when we do have the work done. For now we had to use our budget on more pressing issues around the house. I will report again when we are able to have the work done, but I wanted to get a good word in for them as soon as I could.

I had used them before for some relatively minor work which went very well. Ted was prompt to schedule a day for the estimate and arrived on time. Again, he gave me several options for the work. We set a date for the work to begin. Rob and his asst. arrived a little early and started to work right away. While Ted had warned me that the work might take 2 days; they completed everything in one day. The final invoice was several hundred dollars under estimate since the work went quickly, The electricians were courteous, professional and, yes, cleaned up when finished.

I was not home at time, my Grandson (age 21) was. He stated that the workers were prompt, neat and professional. I did arrive later (left Ted of Nassau Electric left) and realized I needed 3 prong receptacles on 2nd floor instead. He was very prompt in returning to my residence and changing the receptacles. I would definitely use this company again for my electrical needs. I am very happy with their work.

Everything is neat and clean. It was good price. They were professional.

Ken responded promptly to my response to my request for a quote. He came over within a day or two, and spent about an hour looking over the jobs on my list. Originally, I had wanted under-counter lighting, but he suggested that recessed lighting would be better. He was willing to fish an antenna wire down to the living room, but antennas were clearly not his area of expertise. Before quoting, Ken did a bit of research on antenna requirements. In the meantime, I had located an existing wire in the attic that ran to the basement. When we spoke again, Ken agreed to run this wire to the home theater. I later connected a small antenna myself. Two workers arrived when they said they would, and the job took about 1/2 day, as promised. The results are excellent, and the job site was clean when they left. Though we didn't receive other quotes, we think the price might have been be a bit high. I give high marks for the time spent in listening and preparing for the work, and for showing up when they promised.

We couldn't have been more pleased. It's a pity we didn't find them until we were fixing up our house to move to another town. Nassau responded promptly to a request for estimate, gave a competitive estimate, scheduled us promptly, kept in touch about plans, showed up on time, were clean and friendly and knew what they were doing, did everything with dispatch, and followed up to make sure we were happy. After the initial job, we used them for all our electrical jobs big and small. When we have to take off work to meet a serviceman, it's wonderful to deal with people who take appointments seriously and don't waste our time. They take their customer relations seriously, too.

I called. Ted came out and estimated the job, going over some options with me. Called back with estimate. Electrician came out on the appointed morning and did the work. Everything was exactly what I wanted.

These guys ROCK, showed up for estimate on time, great price, completed the work with great quality at the quoted price...............................THANKS NASSAU!

Spoke with Ted about the job and told him that our old house has plaster walls, which I didn't want to have to patch. He assured me it was possible to re-wire the house and not punch holes in the walls. I kept waiting for the call to say he'd have to, but not only did he do that he fixed some lights I never knew were broken. I cannot speak highly enough of his work. He even finished up faster than he had on the estimate, which made the final cost LOWER than I had been quoted. Now when does that ever happen? As someone who has remodeled every room in my 87 year old house I can tell you: never. Well, next to never. I wish all my home improvement projects went as easily as this one.

They were very responsive and I did not need to chase them down. The work was top notch at a low price. When I needed them to change some things for inspection they came right out. Probably the best contractors I have used.

We were told the men would arrive at 8:15 AM. They were at least 5 minutes early all 3 days, which was refreshing. They started on the 2nd floor and worked their way down. I was told they go to great lengths to NOT cut a lot of holes in the walls and ceilings. They pulled up carpet (which was replaced) and lifted floor boards to get to the ceiling light downstairs. They also did that on 2nd floor, lifting boards in the attic. I had 2 ceilings that were being replaced anyhow (front hallway and an upstairs bedroom), so they were cut into somewhat. In a 100+ year old house we never know what will happen when we open a wall, but the men from Nassau Electric (thanks Tony you were amazing) exceeded our expectations.

My experience with them was fine. The person showed up on time and did the job in a timely manner. He didn't leave a mess. I would recommend them and use them again.

He had some ideas that I haven't even had. They are the third generation of family owning the same company. They are going to take out some old gas line.

We called Nassau Electric and explained that we were having a problem with our pool filtration system. It wouldn't run as it should. They made an appointment with us and on that day, showed up on time. They determined that the circuit on the system was old and needed to be replaced. They checked the other wiring and connections and determined that to be okay. They replaced the circuit in question and explained in detail how the system should behave, so that if it didn't we should call them to come back.

We asked Nassau to provide an estimate for Kand T replacement in a house we were buying with a purchase + renovation mortgage. Ted was able to come over quickly and gave us a very reasonable and educated estimate. (We received four other estimates from other electricians and Nassau's was right in the middle, but most specific and thorough.) Because of our financing arrangement, Ted and Becky had to provide a pile of documentation in order to get the job, a task which they performed promptly and without complaint. We scheduled them a few weeks in advance, and they were on time and always reachable. The whole process was smooth, worry-free and confidence-inspiring. Ted asked us for a "wish list" of electrical tasks we would like to get completed but which weren't included in our estimate. He said that if they could get those tasks done within the time they had allotted for the job, they wouldn't charge extra. They got the whole list done without additional charges!

Ted Kitchmire provided me with an estimate for work. Satisfied with the reasonable cost, and assurance that his employees would make every attempt to minimize damage to our plaster walls, we agreed to have the work done. The crew arrived promptly each day, and performed in an outstanding manner. Not only did they not damage any of the walls, they thoroughly cleaned the work areas each day. Midway through the job, I asked for some additional work as I was so pleased with the friendly and professional attitude exhibited by every one at company. I look forward to having them back, and I recommend Nassau without hesitation.
