They were very good and there weren't any problems. They were very efficient, but we are still having some problems with the leak. I can't get up there to look and see if it's a different part of the chimney that's leaking, but overall the service was very good. Their responsiveness was also very good.

Ray answered my initial phone call immediately himself. He made our appointment and arrived promptly. He explained in detail what needed to be done and gave me an honest and reasonable quote for the work. He completed the work in the time frame promised. Ray's work is extremely neat and he wastes no time completing the tasks. I have complete confidence in Ray's work and will use him again for any future plumbing and general maintenance needs. I highly recommend Ray Brown Jr. Services LLC.

I have no issues with him, it worked out fine. They were quick, thorough, and it was a good experience. He told me what I needed to know and if I had any questions he answered them. I didn't need to sit there and hold his hand; it was nice . He did the work and I haven't had any issues since.

They came in, did the job, and left. They cleaned up when they were done. I think they need to come back and do it again because it started to clog up again. The price was comparable.

Service was great, as mentioned above. Ray was prompt & industrious (he cleaned all of the windows by himself!).

Overall, the job went well. When the stains starting "bleeding through the paint," I called them. Took a while for them to come back but, they repainted the bad area to my satisfaction @ no extra charge.

If there is any way he can over charge you, he will do it. He even changed the contract after I signed it.

They were great. When they came to do the work they did it in two different waves. They did the repairs and then cosmetically fixed where the leak had happened in the kitchen. In both instances they were on time and very courteous and got things done quickly. The downside was that we thought they were a little bit expensive, but you kind of get what you pay for because they did a great job. They didn't jerk us around about being able to get things done in the time that they quoted.

They came out to perform a physical inspection complete with pics and measurements. Emailed me an estimate and when I accepted and mailed a 50% deposit, they ordered the parts and scheduled the work. Work was completed as expected.

I received prompt call backs. 2 gentlemen came to assess the problem. While there was a flashing issue with the chimney it didn't account for the leak. They took the time to look closely for holes. We ended up running water over the roof until the spots showed themselves. Turns out the shingles were just old and were saturating. I recieved an estimate fo repair the flashing and replace that part of the roof. The work was done within a couple weeks. of the estimate. I didn't receive information about the timeframe to get it done, but I believe I would have received that information had I asked. The work was done at the time scheduled. The workers were all polite and professional. They left not a trace of themselves behind. The work has withstood Superstorm Sandy, so I am very pleased.

We chose Ray because of the posiive feedback he has received from other customers and contacted him after finding him on Angie's list. We needed to order the shower door and he said he would fit it when we had it at our home. Once we received the shower door (thank you home depot) we contacted him again and he agreed to arrange a date suitable for both of us. We didnt hear from him but someone from his office contacted my wife a few days later and asked if we still wanted the job done which we did. He rang and agreed to fit in the job within 24-48 hours...we never heard back from him again. Finally we got tired of waiting and sourced another person from Angie's list who arrived promptly that day to give a quotation. The quotation was very fair and similar to Rays. The work was completed on tim and to our satisfaction less than 2 days later.

Ray was a very nice man. Based on what the insurance was wanting to cover and his estimate, I chose not to have that job done.

I called for an estimate to repair the chimney, and was told they would come out the next week. A the end of that week I called to follow up and was told that I would receive an estimate via email. Apparently they had already come by the house but did not go on the roof to examine the chimney. A few days later I did receive an estimate, which did not reflect the work that actually needed to be done. Regardless of what the estimate said, I would not hire someone who didn't fully understand the job. How can you give an accurate estimate when you don't take the time to examine the work site?

He was nice and made me feel comfortable. He broke it down in different ways that I could afford it and was honest about the whole entire job.

Owner Ray Brown Jr. came over as scheduled to perform free estimate & provide price quote. He was friendly, informative, and came in priced lower than the first two quotes we received. He threw in the water proofing of the chimney and the 4" attic vents. I called him that night to tell him he's hired and his crew of very courteous workers were here two days later as scheduled to do the work. Ray showed up a couple of hours later to supervise and make sure all is going well. They were done by 4pm and left no sign of having been here. My handyman was here that day and he was very pleased with the work they did, and he's a perfectionist, so that's saying a lot. Thank you Ray for a job well done.

I recently moved into a townhouse that was in need of many repairs and I found Ray Brown Jr. Services, LLC on Angie’s List. I contacted Ray Brown Jr. Services by phone and spoke to Mr. Brown directly. Mr. Brown responded promptly by providing an in-home estimate that same day. He was very knowledgeable and had a positive attitude toward taking on the projects. I was given a specific price for each project I wanted done, which allowed me to fit the most important services within my budget. Importantly, I learned that the contracting services are performed by the Ray Brown Jr. Services Company, not by subcontractors. On the day of the appointment, Ray Brown Jr and his assistant were polite and very accommodating to my repair needs and questions. They worked efficiently, cleaned up completely, and did not add extra fees. I whole-heartedly recommend Ray Brown Jr. Services for reliable, high-quality and affordable contracting services.

I had several leaks in my gutters and also needed them cleaned, so I got the Angie's List deal fro Ray Brown services. They were prompt and responded by e-mail and phone relatively quickly. We had gone back and forth on potential dates to have the work done but never could agree on a date. Then, one night they said they would be in the next day to do the job. I was caught off guard and not prepared to be home from work, but figured they were busy and this was my only opportunity. So, I let them go ahead and do the work. They asked when I would be home and I said maybe 6 pm, not realizing they were going to wait for final payment. I thought they would send me a bill or leave it in my mailbox. They scare my wife because she came home to two guys waiting for a check (they were nice though, so not too threatening).When I got home to inspect the work, I found they had disconnected the downspout from the underground drain and forgot to replace it. Well, it rained/poured that day so I had a huge puddle in my yard and water in the basement. NOT HAPPY. Also, my gutters leaked still in the same places that I originally had a problem. I was not happy because they did not inform me what the real problem was with the gutters. Granted, they were right that I needed new screens, but they should have told me before attempting to do the work and misrepresent that they fixed my problem. Yeah, sure they cleaned my gutters...but that was only 1/2 my problem. The leaks were another. I also told Ray about the disconnected downspout and said I expected some type of money back for the incomplete work. He instead sent a guy to my house to reconnect...after I already told him I fixed it myself. He also sent him up to the roof to look at my leaks, but could not find any reason for the leaks. It wasn't until I sent detailed pictures myself to Ray that he said the problem was with the gutter screens. Why should I need to do the legwork if his guy was already at my house twice? I did not get a refund for any amount and was not happy.

The time taken was one afternoon. It was very quick. They were here first thing right after lunch and within a few hours they had it done, they cleaned up and were gone. They came out really quick when we asked for the estimate, gave it to us right on the spot. Ray Brown Jr came himself. The price was very reasonable we thought it would be much more expensive. It was nice to deal with his crew. They did a good job.

Overall experience went very well. Employee was kind, patient and easy to talk to. The worker listened closely to concerns & questions asked during the process, which put me to ease to some degree because my thoughts were being considered. Price was a little on the high side, but not to a level where I would not utilize their service again.

He did come over and I thought the estimate was a bit high. I think he thought it was going to be a total rebuild, but I wasn't interested in that. So, I declined.

We had a water problem that we suspected came from the chimney area. They responded to our call very quckly and performed the work in a very professional manner. The price seemed very reasonable and was exactly what they had estimated it would be

At first it didn't go well but he returned and didn't charge me until it was clear it was waterproofed

I called Ray after three floods in 30 days.Hurricane Irene,then Lee with thirty inches of water,then Sept. 28th another rainstorm with twenty inches of water in my basement......Ray came over and gave me a good estimate and worked with my flood insurance company......I also called a waterproofing company and Ray and his crew worked around their schedual comming to the house three different times....great coordination. Ray and his crew always arrived on time and did a very professional job from start to finnish and were excellent at dealing with the surprises that come up with this kind of work. I would recommend Ray Brown Jr and his staff for any handyman work.

Overall, the experience was great. Ray was courteous, efficient, and his crew was excellent. They were very good about dealing with surprises that happen while remodeling; very flexible, and I'd definitely call them again!

I scheduled this appointment, took a 1/2 day, even confirmed my appointment on the Saturday before they came. They never called, I had to called and they went to the another house. I will never call or do business with this guy who calls himself a christian. He doesn't know what that means and that why I don't believe in that religion anymore.
