The two day job entailed removing and replacing all the old warn out windows and sliding door which they handled in a very organized and efficient manor. They carefully removed the old windows and door without any damage to the surrounding walls. Then the new windows and door were installed and properly weatherproofed. To finish off the installation the windows and door were all neatly trimmed both inside and out. All of the workers were friendly and conscientious and did a very thorough job, both installing and cleaning up the debris afterwards.

I called Jamar based on the excellent feedback left by other Angie's List subscribers, and I felt comfortable with them from my first call. I think the fact that they're family owned and operated makes a difference. When you call, you talk to the president's wife, not some pushy salesperson, or someone who answers phones but knows little about the business. Anyway, she was delightful to speak with and could answer many of the questions I had without having to get someone to call me back. Joe, who came out to do the initial estimate, and then lead the installation, was amazing to work with as well. He and I discussed several options within my budget and he customized my quote so it was easy to see what each option would cost. His recommendations genuinely seemed to come from a desire to get me something I'd like, and not just have me spend more. When the time came to install the new windows, Jim the owner came out to check in. He also filled me in on the rebate process, and had the claim form already pre-printed for me. He even offered to buy me a bagel when he went out to buy some for his crew. Now that's service! haha. The installation took 2 days, and when the crew was finished they cleaned up so that you'd never know they were here (except that I had these great new windows!). Between the friendly, personal service, and the great job, I really could not be happier. The windows are beautiful and much better quality than what we had before. I would recommend Jamar to anyone!

The windows were available first and were installed in one day. The doors came in about two weeks later and were installed the next day. The workers were prompt, courteous, professional, and did a great job. When I called for the estimate, it was the owner, Jim, who answered the phone and came out to do the estimate. I really liked that personal touch and felt confident that the job would be ordered correctly and completed according to the estimate. After installation, everything was cleaned up and all the old windows and packing materials were taken away and disposed of by JAMAR. The windows and doors look great and I'll qualify for about $1000 in tax credits. I'm very happy with JAMAR and will recommend them to my friends and family.

I found them in Angie's list and they were very highly rated. I called them on Monday and they returned my call on the same day. I was very impressed with that and the owner came the next day. Their charges were very reasonable. They scheduled the work a few weeks later. Everything went exactly as expected. The owner was there and it was very nice. His son did most of the work. They did what they said they would do and they were no surprises on the way. They said it would take a day and they exactly took a day. The work was done professionally. I am very happy with them.

Jamar is a family owned, they know their business and are extremely professional and very customer pleasing. They do a very thorough job and the crew is very respectful and courteous. IIt went extremely well and we would certainly recommend them with no reservations.

Jamar's owner came to give us an estimate and from that point on everything was running smoothly. Service was prompt and professional.Work was done on time and it took only one day, no mistakes, no problems. Everything was cleaned, old doors and frames removed, and house looks brighter and more modern!

Overall, the job was very professionally done. The guys were clean, efficient, and painstakingly detailed oriented. I did not have to sweep, mop, vacuum, etc. Because I did not have window treatments, I asked the guys to put my blinds back, and believe it or not, the blinds were installed better than they were before. As a bonus, on the final day, the head installer fixed my bathroom door(it would not close completely). How can you beat that? I got my windows done and my bathroom door fixed. As a new homeowner, I did not know what to expect; however, Jamar took all of my fears away by providing me a great service. I feel no drafts and my boiler is using less energy these days.

The job was done professionally and tidily. After the work was completed, there was nary a dead leaf or speck of dust left by the installers. The courteous owner even brought everyone, including me, bagels for breakfast.

They were very good, prompt, and extremely professional. The work on the windows looked excellent and we would use them again. They also replaced our front door and the strong winds did not affect the wind coming in. They were very polite and we would highly recommend them.

Since it was an older home and I wanted to maintain the traditional style, I asked Jim to order me windows with the same look. When the windows arrived they were a perfect match and when installed you would never know they were replacements other than the fact that they worked perfectly and kept out the cold so much better. The job itself was totally painless, as they arrived in the morning and were done by noon the next day. They cleaned up after themselves really well and I had to look closely to see any sign that they had been through every room in the house ripping out windows and molding hours earlier.

I got Jamars name through Angie's List. I called and the owner came, he did not need both my husband and me there (like other high pressure companies) this always drives me nuts, as I am the one who usually handles all of the business end of project. Greg came and measured my windows and gave me some window options. He knew we were on a tight budget and I had asked him to bring a sample of the window we discussed on the phone. He made the suggestion of putting a triple pane window over our bed...in the final decison, we put in all the bedrooms. Greg measured windows that we are not planning on doing yet, but down the road. There was NO high pressure sales pitch. I spoke to one other company, and got an estimate from one other. Jamar's price and professionalism is what sold me. Also, he gave us the addresses of a few houses we could look at which had the same windows we were discussing. We ordered the windows and it was six weeks till they got installed. The workers showed up on time, and the job was completed in one day...They were clean and took all the trash and left the house as they found it. They pulled out all the rotten wood and replace with nice new wood which they covered in aluminum. My husband came home and immediatly broke a piece off of one of the windows because he tilted it and locked it in place by accident. Jamar came back in the morning and replace the piece and for no cost. The windows look amazing! I am very happy with them. We are already planning to have them do our big flat front window and turn it into a bay, and also have them replace a front door. I would reccomend this company highly.

Everything went as promised. Prices quoted were the prices charged. The work was done in a timely manner and all concerns were handled quickly and professionally. The work was top rate. We got more work done than expected because we were so happy in every way. Our house looks great.

My husband and I are very busy professionals never being home very much. When the vendors that my husband called either did not show up for the initial appointment or showed up late, we knew we had a problem from the start. To my husband s total skepticism, I decided to try Angie s list. It was the BEST thing I did. We found three vendors from the list. We only had to call two because both were great. We decided to go with Jamar based on punctuality, professionalism, personality and price. The job that needed to be done was fairly complex and required a certain level of expertise that some jobs would not require. Two out of the three windows were very large. One of the windows formed almost the whole living room wall facing the street. It was floor to ceiling wall to wall. (Not an easy job by any standard!) The other window was again very, very large on the second floor. In order to not write a book I decided to bullet the main points: the windows were ordered and arrived in short order; Jamar completed the job on time; the appropriate tools were brought and used to replace the decorative wood work around the windows; the mess which contractors usually make was tidied up; there was a small issue with the inside window grid which was addressed immediately; no surprises; family-owned company who takes pride in their employees and company.

Didn't do the job with them -- way too expensive.

I was very happy with the experience I had with this company. The man that came out was very responsive and he came out on time to the appointment that we made. My son did the walk through with him and he was very pleased with how up front the man was and that he was explicit about what services he would do. He mailed me an estimate and when I asked him about a senior discount he revised the estimate and sent me out a new one the next day.

Jamar gave both a personal and written estimate. I had three estimates and Jamar's was the best. While not the least expensive-but a much better value for materials and labor. They were very professional. I would most certainly use them again.

I couldn't be more pleased with Jamar. Owner Jim Cantazaro was onsite everyday ensuring things were being completed to my complete satisfaction. He asked every time we met if I had any concerns. His men worked like well oiled machines. They are all business. Jim Cantazaro is a gentlemen and a pleasure to do business with. They are fast and do the job correctly with no shortcuts. I found they were local to me and found they are a member of the NJ BBB with NO consumer complaints. Which was rare, in fact I found no other listing without an initial complaint. My wife and I are so pleased with our home. I always thought my neighbor's siding was done well. After working with Jim at Jamar, I learned after reinspecting my neighbor's siding job there were a few shortcuts taken. I highly recommend Jamar. In fact, I volunteered to have my home inspected by Jamar's prospective customers. I had 3 estimates before deciding on Jamar. Jamar's price was competitive and the workmanship superb. Jamar truly sets the standard.

JAMAR showed up early - materials had been delivered the previous day. Team consisted of 4-5 individuals working throughout the day to complete the job. Job went without a hitch and the new roof looks great. Our home and yard were immaculate when they were finished.

Jamar returned my phone calls. They showed up on time the day they did the work. Jamar did a great job installing the new patio door and they cleaned up afterwards.

A superior company. The work was done on time, neatly and professionally. This company truly makes an effort to work closely with the consumer and did an outstanding job. We could not be more pleased.
