Technician was focused and direct.Needed part was installed job completed and and heat restored in 1.15 hrs.PLan to have A/C check up within next couple of weeks by C & D .In my humble opinion a true and capable company.

C&D did a great job. They were less expensive than the most prevalent local alternative that we used previously and they were more responsive as well. We also purchased a comfort protection plan from them to service of all three of our systems, our boiler and humidifier - which was also offered at a less expensive price than what we paid to others previously.

C&D serviced my A/C unit yesterday and although the technician they sent was very professional and knowledgeable (thanks Scott), I will not be contracting with C&D again for any future HVAC needs. Although I was informed there would be a $119 travel and diagnostic fee (which I thought was reasonable), I was shocked when the bill came and I was told that the fee would not be credited against the labor portion of my bill. In fairness, the bill did not separate charges for parts and labor, but instead contained the $119 fee, a $163 charge for a new capacitor and a $97 charge for a single pound of R-22 refrigerant. While I understand that the phase out of R-22 has dramatically increased its cost, I'm quite confident that C&D's cost is less than $30 per pound (and probably closer to $15). I am similarly confident that the cost of a 40/5 MFD capacitor to C&D is $25 or $30. In other words, less than $60 of the charge could have been for parts and materials. I did get credit for a 10% off coupon, which brought the total charge down to $342, meaning my charge for labor was at least $282. I have no problem paying a fair price and would not expect any company to make a service call for less than $100 or so, but given that it takes about 15 minutes to replace a capacitor and add a pound of refrigerant, C&D charged me over $1,100 an hour for labor and that is simply outrageous.

They come twice a year. I have used them for twenty-five years. They are very good.

They were very professional and worked in a timely fashion. They provided a lot of information on my air conditioning compressor. We were very pleased with them.

Aire Serve Heating & Air Conditioning is a fine heating and air conditioning company. We have an annual contract with them which really helps out if something goes wrong because they will fix it for free. We are very happy with their service. The price listed is the approximate price for the contract.
