Description of Work: I called the provider to have the check seams in hardwood floors that were widening. He asked me if there were cracks in our walls. When I told him no, he said that low moisture is probably causing the problem because of the low humidity that we had this past winter. In addition, he told me to look on the internet for information on hardwood shrinkage because of low humidity in the home.

Description of Work: I found some cracks on my house soon after I purchased it, and I was worried about any structural issues that may exist so I asked a structural engineer to come take a look at it. That guy spent 15 minutes walking around the house, told me there was no big problem, took $500 bucks the very next day, and failed to produce any sort of written report over a month after the inspection date. I found Tony through Angie's list and I told him the story, he was very understanding and I can tell he went out of his way to make me feel valued and listened to as a customer. He came to my house at the scheduled time (on time), and he was very detailed in explaining how and why the cracks on my house came about, and was very reassuring about the structure of the house. He spent maybe 30-40 minutes walking through the entire house, and took the time to answer all the questions I had for him. At the end, he spent only a day before sending me a well written inspection report on my house - all for $450. My first engineer eventually sent me his report (After the threat of a refund!) that was nowhere near as detailed and professional as the one Tony provided. I feel like it was the best $450 bucks I ever spent, and now I not only feel comfortable to be in that house, but I also feel more educated as a consumer - so thank you Tony for all that you did.

Description of Work: Home inspection

Description of Work: Tony performed our home inspection on 4/5/2013. He spent more than four hours inside, outside and all around our home. He was very thorough and allowed my husband to follow him around. He explained every step, what he was looking for and what he observed. It was information that was invaluable to us. I would hire him again and encourage everyone to use him. He also spent more than an hour with us on the phone discussion the report and helping us to understand how to address the older mechanicals in our home and some of the issues we will encounter when we try to update them. We had a terra outta chimney and single zone ac on a 3200 sq ft house. These issues were important to us and Tony gave us the info we needed to address them properly. I am grateful to him.

Description of Work: We were very pleased with our home inspection. Tony was punctual to our appointment and extremely thorough. He was able to get our inspection report to us quickly as we explained time was an issue for us. The report was detailed and we were surprised how in depth it was since we are purchasing a brand new home.
