Air Professionals Heating & Air Conditioning

The technicians arrived on time. They were neat, clean, very professional, went about their job, talked us through what they were doing and gave us a full list of options with no pressure whatsoever on us to choose a particular option. They gave us their professional opinion and left it to us to make the choice, leaving us with written estimates for repairs and for replacement of the unit. We had them do a quick fix to tide us over the weekend (this was on a Friday) so we could make a decision over the next day or two and set up the repair/replacement at the beginning of the week. It didn't take us long to make the decision to replace the entire unit. We called & scheduled the work for Monday and they came on time and completed the work for the agreed upon price. They had to reroute the water pipe along our basement ceiling and insulated the water line, which had been part of the problem as the builder's HVAC subcontractor did not install the water line level. The work was completed the same day, all material was cleaned up & the old unit was taken away. We have had no problems with our A/C since then.

After our heating stopped working for the third time (despite "repairs" from the public utility company) we called Air Professionals based on all of the positive reviews on this site. Well, those reviews were spot on. We could not be more pleased with the quality of their service, their punctuality, and professionalism. We called and Scott was at our house within hours, spending hours explaining what was wrong and how to fix it. He did not try to sell us anything we didn't need. They were able to replace the furnace the next day - and right before the snowstorm! They even came back a couple days at no charge when there was a small problem and fixed it right away. The heat has been working great ever since. We will definitely use them again. Thank you!

Three men came to the house on time. They were courteous and efficient and the job was finished by 4:00. The furnace works great! Now that its 10 degrees at night I feel secure knowing I have a good furnace and would use Air Professionals again. A special thanks goes to Sandy for helping me that day when I was freaking out about that other contract.

First visit said control board needed to be replaced. Next visit spark igniter needed. Third visit to install igniter and noticed the heat exchanger was cracked and whole furnace needed to be replaced.

After an in-depth inspection and tutorial from Scott Dedrick (at least 1 - 1 1/2 hrs), I decided to go with air professionals, for the installation. I've had a number of estimates, from other services, but none of them took the time to explain exactly what needed to be done and why. I felt I was in a mini mechanical engineering class. I received a detailed proposal, within a day and the work was scheduled within a few days. The crew showed up on time and were very friendly and efficient. The whole job took 5 hours + or -. Their workmanship was very professional and clean. They removed the old ac and any excess debris. They handled the securing of the required permits. I also received a nice rebate, when I mentioned Angie's list (after) I received the estimate. Scott definitely turned me on to the right system (The air flow, is much more pronounced and I noticed a definite savings on my electric bill. I highly recommend them and would use them in the future for any AC or heating needs.

Excellent planning prior to installation. Each member of the team was skilled knowledgeable courteous and easy to work with. They acted in a very professional manner throughout the installation of our central air conditioning. The oldest section of our house was built around 1840 and they met every challenge with success. There wasn't a problem in this old house that they coul not resolve. Their approach was very reassuring. They kept us informed of what they planned to do and completed each step in a timely manner. Scott,Josh,Jerry and Pete were an excellent team making the work in our house a pleasant experience.

Our home was built in the 1700's (the system doesn't allow me to put in the right year). We have 2 floors-a fairly large home.We called four different a/c contractors. One skipped out, one didn't seem to know anything about what he was doing and we canceled the last one because they seemed to complain about how far away we were from them. In any case, Scott from Air Professionals was on time and was interested in what he could do for us and really took a lot of time considering the best way to set everything up, whether we'd need two units or just one, where to put the vents...etc. Within a week of the visit he offered three choices to us with the prices laid out and explained them all in detail. No pressure, just information. We decided to go with the top end unit because the price was not much more than the other two choices and it had more options. Scott set up the installation date and the guys were there on time and were courteous. While the work was done my two almost teenage kids would roam in and out the the guys working were always friendly with them and funny. They did an excellent job. I could not have asked for nicer, harder working people. After the installation was done, we didn't get a chance to review the system right away. Scott made sure to come back within a day or two to go over everything with us. Overall, the system works great, we are pleased with the price and the friendly service and are happy we chose this team of professionals. One more note: the rebates, credits and permits were all taken care of by them which was much appreciated!

It is the end of July in New Jersey and it is extremely hot and humid. They responded quickly and came the next day to do the complete job from start to finish. They arrived at the time they said they would and worked throughout the day to complete

The removal and installation of the HVAC equipment took two days, and was done by a 4-man team. All of the servicemen were professional, showed up for work on time, and worked a full day. All work was performed to our satisfaction. Air Professionals also helped out in filling out all of the necessary forms for the available heating and cooling rebates. All in all, everything went very well and we are completely satisfied with the service. The only thing that we think should have done is a follow up call from someone at Air Professionals asking if we were satisfied with the install and service. We think that our sales consultant should have touched base with us after to make sure everything was okay, but that wasn't done.

Absolutely fantastic service from beginning to end. I had my own a/c replaced recently and I really wish I had been able to use this company, as they did a far better job on my mother's installation than the other company did on mine. They were extremely professional and installed a Carrier unit, which we consider a better brand/ product than what we had installed at our house by the other company. Every person with whom we dealt was very professional and considerate. On the day of the installation, the work was done speedily, but carefully. Some residual problems from the original setup were repaired and when they were done there were no signs that they had been there--except for the welcome, quiet hum of the new unit. Air Professionals also scheduled the installation very quickly, so my elderly mother was not left without a/c in the middle of the prolonged July heat wave. A real pleasure to work with...

The owner of the company, Scott Deusch personally made my"sales call." He was informative and help me understand all my HVAC options. A proposal for the job was ready for review early the following day. After meeting with Scott, I had full confidence in his company's ability to do the job correctly and within a timely manner. His knowledge was exemplified by his assessment of my former system. He proposed a more efficient "plenum configuration": the duct work which distributes air from the air handler. This showed me that he "knew his stuff" and was truly interested in maximizing what ever system I chose to install. His support staff at his office were extremely friendly and helpful. Come installation day, his crew showed up bright and early as scheduled. They did not cut corners on the install. All new refrigeration lines were installed and customized duct work was fitted to my new air handler. They worked efficiently and cleaned up thoroughly.The positive ratings Air Professional's has received on Angie's List were absolutely "spot on." I would highly recommend this company to anyone having HVAC needs. The longevity of an air conditioning and heating system is dependent upon how well the system is installed. I expect that I will get many, many years out of my new Carrier system thanks to: Scott, his terrific installers and helpful office staff.

I needed to replace my 21-year-old HVAC system. I had five contractors out for estimates, and didn't like any of their answers until I met Scott from Air Professionals. The first point in his favor was a small one: he took his shoes off in my house without being asked. He spent 2.5 hours with us, during which time he did a heat load test, measured our ducts, checked out the old system, and answered all of our questions. Of the five contractors we had out, Scott was the only one who did a load test. Others said we needed anything from a two-ton (based on the old unit) to a 3.5 ton AC unit, without any particular reason for their recommendation. Scott came back and said we needed 2.5 tons. He explained his reasoning, and told us we needed to change existing duct work to handle that capacity. No one else even looked at the existing duct work. The guy who said I needed 3.5 tons didn't tell me I needed to change existing ducts to handle what Scott's load test said was much too much air. Scott was not pushy, and helped us make an intelligent choice. He helped us choose a system that suited our house, not the most expensive stuff Carrier makes. The job was scheduled for the week following the estimate. Air Professionals called to let us know they were on their way, and a four-man crew arrived on time. The guys looked professional, all in blue logo polo shirts, and black pants and shoes. Josh, their lead technician, led the crew: Ken, Jerry, and Moses. Josh is as meticulous and as picky as I am. For example, one of the pads the furnace sat on had a ragged edge facing out. I noticed it, thinking that if it were me, it would bother me, but of course it was no big deal. Josh apparently thought the same thing, because he turned it so that a smooth edge faced out. He is that finicky. All of these guys take pride in their work: Moses, for instance, is an artist with sheet metal, making the pieces he needed on a bench in their truck. The guys laid tarps through the house, cleaned everything up when they left, took their shoes off when they had to walk into carpeted areas, listened to and responded to all of my requests, explained what they were doing, and didn't mind one bit that I sat around watching them work. Finally, I can say without any reservation that their installation is a work of art. Absolutely beautiful. Plumbing and wiring neat and clean, everything tight and as out-of-the-way as possible. I'd delayed replacing my old system because I was afraid of a sub-par installation, and I can say without reservation that I'd hire these guys again in a heartbeat, and recommend them to anyone I meet. A replacement of my 26-year-old heating and air conditioning system was long overdue. I had seen this company's trucks in the neighborhood in recent years and checking Angie's List reviews confirmed that they performed quality work. Right from the start, I felt comfortable dealing with Sandy over the phone and then with Bill who came out to survey my home and recommend a replacement system. Installers Jerry and Mo arrived on time and spent a long day (ten hours) dismantling the old system and building the new one. When they were done, they spent a good deal of time going over how to operate the new system and replace the filter. All of these people were extremely professional and very friendly. I am very pleased with the new Carrier Infinity series system that includes a variable speed fan. It is *so* much quieter than my old fan. I had to turn the TV volume way up whenever the old system came on. And to top things off, I was able to knock $500 off the price by using an Angie's List coupon!

We discovered last summer that our AC units needed to be replaced as they required multiple service calls throughout the summer. In November one of our 2 zone heating systems failed and required multiple parts which were expensive. Both our AC and heating systems were no longer being manufactured. From the first phone call, to the representative, to the installation, Air Professionals was thorough, educational, and a pleasure to deal with. Our representative inspected every aspect of our systems, was knowledgeable, gave us pros and cons of a variety of new systems based on our specific needs, which lead us to purchasing a system from them - No high pressure sales. He provided an extensive list of Air Professional customers in our area as references. Turns out, 2 of them we know very well, contacted them, and trusted their feedback. The install was smooth. The follow up and customer service was excellent.

Our sales person, Scott, was very professional and patient. He came out twice and thoroughly explained the different models and options. He was very knowledgable about his product and about heating and air in general. Hew was a gentleman and did not resort to hardball tactics, sleazy sales pitches or use bait an switch tactics. He was a straight shooter. The install team of three young men was very professional, very courteous and very personable. They arrived prompty on time. They were people that you would feel comfortable having in your home. They were incredibly neat and cleaned up after the installation. The team leader did a great job explaining how to use the system. The installation was beautifully done. The central air and heat system look like a work of art. there was one minor glitch witht the sealing tap which was promptly remedied a few days later. The team lead explained how to operate the system and the warranty information. He placed the warranty info and product manuals in an envelope and then placed it in a pocket adhered to the side of the system. The nexy day, I attempted to register for the warranty on the Carrier website and discovered that Air Professionals had already registered for us. They even prepared the rebate info for us too. That's great customer service! We interviewed at least seven heating anc air firms. Air Professionals was definitely the best by a very, very wide margin in terms of professionalism, competence, integrity and price (almost the lowest but the price difference was cancelled out by the three year zero percent financing). Air Professionals came the closest to perfection of all of the firms we interviewed. Everything is close to perfection: from their personable employees (clean, neat, tidy with good personalities) to their clear, precise and detailed paperwork to their excellent website to their excellent customer service. It was very hard for me to find fault with this company. They are rated A by the Better Business Bureau. Our Carrier system has been operating beautifully. We really enjoy its refinement where you never hear it going on and off and the temperature is prettty constant throughout the house. And, the thermostat is fantastic! Air Professionals is a very reputable company with great customer service. Every interaction, on the phone and in person, that I have had with this company has been positive. I wish more home improvement firms were like Air Professionals. Do not hesitate to go with Air Professionals!! We were so happy with them that we hired the firm again to add another venting pipe for our bathroom fan.

Given the type of job it was and the location in our house which isn't easy to reach, they were very neat and clean. They came when they said they would and got the job done in a reasonable amount of time. They were very prompt and punctual. We would use them again if we needed to. They were great.

We had looked at a few professional firms for replacement of furnace and air conditioner at our home. Amongst the sales consultants who visited us during the vetting process, Scott from Air Professionals was the most thorough. He took time to inspect the existing equipment, duct work, ventilation and the rooms (for computing capacity). He provided us with a few options and these options were quite detailed and very well laid-out. No other firm had presented the options in such detail to us before. While a few providers had furnished competitive rates, the price provided by Scott for the given equipment, efficiency, warranties etc was very competitive. Most of all, Scott had won our trust. Given the stakes, we wouldn’t have risked going with anyone else. Travis, Jerry and Josh did a very professional job of installing the equipment. Very impressed and we will recommend this firm to our friends as well.

Great! These guys beat the big Carrier dealers on price, do a great job on maintenance, don't upsell me stuff I don't need and are very good about getting to me when I need them. I can't recommend them enough....great team!

Their quote was extremely high and they quoted lower end equipment as well; not even the higher end material. I will not use them to bid again in the future.

They have been fair with us. They have been reasonable as far as pricing and they have always responded to our calls. They do a good job. They are in and out and they come when we call.

Late in August the air conditioner in our addition died. Due to the age of the system, we were advised by multiple people that it would be best to replace both the furnace and the a/c. Someone at work referred me to Air Professionals, so I contacted them and a few other companies. As we went through the estimate process we decided that this would be a good time to rezone the house to upstairs and downstairs instead of half of upstairs and downstairs with the other half of upstairs. The sales representative from Air Professionals was the most thorough of the guys who came out to give us an estimate. He took the time to talk to us and really understand what we wanted and he took detailed measurements. He worked hard and made some adjustments to the equipment to make the project more affordable for us. It was still expensive and more than we would have liked to spend, but was in line with the other companies and in some cases a much better price. The installers were great guys and showed up on time. I had to vacuum up on the last day, but otherwise they were pretty clean.
