First response was very quick to just get you in. They changed some parts. Parts very expensive - at least 2-3 times more than you can get in the market. For the second visit they never keep their words. You will be waiting for them and no one will show up. When you call them, they will make excuses or bluntly say that I have you for tomorrow not today. They took one extra week to come after giving appointments every day.

The technician was on time and extremely professional. He quickly diagnosed what was wrong with my washer and let me know the cost to repair. Because this was my first time using them, I was able to use a new customer coupon which helped cut costs. He fixed it on the spot and got be back up and running. I will use them again.

He came and the charge was ridiculous. After he put it back together, he told me the problem was with the ice container on the door. He wanted to replace the whole door - give me a break.

The repair needed was for the oven. While there the technician was asked to look at the dead refrigerator sitting nearby. He proceeded to write up a whole ticket and charge another $85 and create an estimate for $704.26 to fix this old dead refrigerator. I regret even asking if the old refrigerator was worth repairing. I had no idea the guy would take advantage and turn the question into another service call and charge me accordingly. I called the company and calmly challenged the situation. I was passed to a supervisor who got on the phone really intensely and said that the repairman's opinion was worth the cost. I was calm and thanked him for his answer, but I would never do business with them again. Maybe the technician shouldn't have been asked the question. But I'm most disappointed by the poor customer service response. I would not do business with this company again simply because of their attitude. If you do work with these people, you better hope that all goes well, because if it doesn't, their customer service is lousy. And be sure to keep your mouth shut while the technician is working. It appears as if they're just waiting for you to ask any question so they can charge you for the answer.

A repairman named Bill from 'Immediate Appliance Repair' was a great guy,..a 'newest best friend'. Congenial, respectful, empathetic and diligent in his work. The 'repairperson' from Aand E wouldn't handle my Bosch's problem because a tag had worn away on the side of the door of the unit. That 'tag' with the appliance's serial number is essential 'IF' a machine part needed to be ordered. BUT,..the Aand E guy assumed that a part would be needed and simply chose NOT TO RESPOND to my scheduled repair call!! To date I have never received an apology from Aand E for the inconvenience and for ducking out on their CONTRACTUAL RESPONSIBILITY TO HONOR MY EXTENDED WARRANTY. Bill from 'Immediate Appliance Repair' of Freehold NJ didn't need the Bosch's serial number. He disassembled those parts of the machine where he suspected the problem existed; ,...tested and retested,...assembled and then disassembled the machine AGAIN until he was satisfied that the problem was fixed. This repair was to the intake pump and to the seal which connects it to adjacent hoses. I could not have been more pleased! Excellent communication skills; Bill was able and willing to 'translate' the nature of the problem into 'regular-people-talk' and then made suggestions for preventive maintenance procedures and use. Kudos to Bill and to Immediate Appliance of Freehold; Kudos to Lowe's for being flexible as they directed me to employ a local business and Lowe's reimbursed me for the $361.66 bill within days of my forwarding the necessary paperwork. FIVE THUMBS DOWN for Aand E.

I was able to get an appointment within a few days. The service man arrived slightly outside the time range given, but his office let me know in advance that he would be a little late and then again when he was on the way. If someone is going to miss their arrival time, this is the right way to handle it and as good as I've seen. The serviceman, who is also the owner I found out, installed an after-market heat wire into the drain line to make sure it would not clog again. It took about 1 hour because he had to remove and melt the ice jam. He needed to find power for the warming wire within the control box and was able to do so. He put everything back together and it's been working fine since he left. His invoice confirms a 2 year warranty on the part installed. He was very courteous and professional. The price above is net after a $30 Angie's List first time user discount. I will definitely try Immediate Appliance Service again.

He called to confirm appt and arrived on-time. He quickly determined that the washer repair cost would not be beneficial to me and that the dryer repair was minor. He gave me some ideas on what to buy to replace the washer and fixed the dryer. I am a very happy customer

The gentleman came without any deterrents on the day scheduled two weeks prior. They called me prior to when he was leaving to drive to my house. Everything they did was very professional. He came and put in the parts and checked to see if I had additional problems before he did it. He finished and ran the cycles to make sure they were working. I waited 3 days to let it cool adequately and it is working fine. I was extremely satisfied with the professionalism and the accuracy with which this man handled my problem. He was courteous and efficient. I would recommend this place in a heartbeat and I would certainly use them again for any other repairs that I may need.

The Technician, Bill, just left my house and I couldn't wait to write this. This is the second time that I have used Angie's List since joining in mid-March of this year and it has saved me from abysmal and unreliable service on both occassions. At 2:00 this afternoon, we came home to find that both our refrigerator and freezer were not working and EVERYTHING had thawed. I immediately checked Angie's List, found Immediate Appliance and called them and quot;immediatelyand quot; - no pun intended. As they are located in Freehold, I inquired to see if a repair in Brickissippi would be ouside of their territory. The owner said, and quot;Not at alland quot;. Initially, I was given a window of 3 hours (3:00pm - 6:00pm) for the visit, and after a confirmation call from the Owner, we had the Technician in our home by 3:30pm!!! He immediately diagnosed the problem (burnt out Relay), confirmed that the Compressor was still fine and finished the job by 4:15pm. After he itemized the bill for us, Bill asked us if we had any other questions or issues with ANY of our other large appliances before he left. For someone competent, professional and polite in my home within 90 minutes of my initial call, I think we got great service! The pricing seemed reasonable, too.

Turned the dryer on and got a buzzing notice. Changed the selection and had the same result. I had previously used this company in Nov. 2012 when my dryer stopped heating. I called the company on Sunday afternoon and they had a service person at my home at 9 AM on Monday morning. Within an hour, my dryer was fixed and operating as usual. I would highly recommend this company to any homeowner.

We moved into our house last night after a 3 month renovation project. I had a mountain of laundry to do and discovered that the dryer was not working. I called Immediate Appliance at 11:30AM the next morning and a technician named Bill was at my house by 1PM. He had the dryer up and running in half an hour. After repairing the dryer, Bill leveled both machines for me and changed the direction that the dryer door opened. Bill even offered some helpful tips on maintaining and operating my front-load washing machine.

The repair and preventative maintenance went quickly and well. We were on our way to having permanent damage to both the washer and dryer which could last us another five to ten years. From past experience with washers and dryers, letting the smaller problems go could have lead to irreparable damage and would have put us in the market for both a washer and dryer.

Last month my 1st floor furnace stopped working so I called this company based on reviews seen on Angie's List. I called them after-hours and they either picked up right away or called me back very quick (I can't remember). They had a technician come out to my house the next day. Come to find out, furnaces have lights that blink a certain number of times to let you know what the issue is. Mine was blinking 8 times so that meant it had something to do with a switch. The technician had to order the part and go pick it up, but he was back at my house later that day to fix the issue. The pricing seemed reasonable but in all honesty, I have nothing to compare it to. I had heat back in my house and all was good. Then, a couple days later when I was home by myself (no screaming kids) I noticed that the same furnace was firing on for a minute, turning off only to fire right back on again. This happened repeatedly and it made we worried for safety reasons as well as for cost-effectiveness reasons. The same technician came back out to my house a day later and cleaned some of the hoses - free of charge, which was nice and I thought was the right thing to do. The problem was, this didn't solve this issue and when I called I was told it might be the computer board (or something like that) and the cost to replace that could range from $100-500. I'm all for fixing the problem but there's no guarantee that this will work and I waited a week to hear back from them as to the cost. When I called back last Friday (1/11/13) the guy told me he couldn't find the OEM part so he's looking around for an aftermarket/universal one. I explained to him at this time that the only reason they knew originally to replace the switch was due to 8 blinking lights and how do I know that this will solve the issue - I would have felt much better if the tech diagnosed the furnace and came to this conclusion instead, because then they might have caught this other issue at the same time, but that's technology for you. He said he couldn't know for sure so he wanted to get the tech back out to the house, but he needed to wait for the guy to be in my area so I wouldn't get hit with a service charge. That is supposed to happen this week so I will update this review once that happens.

We called Immediate Appliance when our refrigerator stopped cooling over a holiday weekend. A repairman came out the same day we called and diagnosed the problem with the compressor, and a second repairman came out the next day to replace the compressor. All repairs were completed thoroughly and quickly (especially in light of the holiday), and the repairmen were friendly and professional. We'd definitely use Immediate Appliance again.

I called the emergency line on a Thursday afternoon - I didn't like their web application for selecting a service time so I figured the emergency line would get me a person. A tech had just finished a call a few miles away. He was there in 15 minutes. He arrived in a company truck, properly dressed, and with his tool case. He was courteous and got right to work. He obviously knew his trade. I am pleased with their service.

At the start of the season, we noticed a leak in a pan under the indoor portion of our central air conditioner unit. The water had emerged from a hole in the pan and came through the ceiling of the room below. Our units are old, but replacing them was not in this year's budget, so we began looking for someone who might be able to help us with a repair. We first called Meyer and Depew, a local company that advertises heavily. They sent a technician down who couldn't help us, but said he'd have a salesman contact us for a replacement unit. They charged us $137 for that privilege. We next called Immediate Appliance Service. John was encouraging and helpful over the phone. He gave us an appointment and called ahead of time as a courtesy. Their technician, Mike, was punctual and took his time to inspect the problem. He then carefully and professionally repaired our leaking pan. The unit has been operating well since his visit, and we were very pleased with every aspect of his work.
