Great! I have used Doug in the past and have been very happy with their work. This time I called him after 4 years. The initial discussion with Doug Conner was excellent and we discussed as to what kind of windows would be installed. Mindy Mann was efficient in her communications and on the installation date, their crew arrived and did a fantastic job. What I love about their work is they come on time, finish the work and clean up well after they are done. As a unit, Doug, Mindy and their installation crew work well and are very dependable. I will certainly use them again in the future.

Very well. Appointment to measure on time, and installation was perfectly executed. There were three of them; Rob and his colleagues were courteous, they were were very clean and tidied up after. No complaints.

Overall a good experience. Doug was respectful and communication was good. This was a tough job, as my house is old and built from concrete block. The orginal door was taken out, and the opening expanded by 3 feet to accommodate a new sliding glass door. It required a look of manual labor and was not your run of the mill door replacement. Slight miscommunication about moving electrical outlets. Bottom line was done in two days, looks great, outside trim looks amazing, inside trim is good given the constrictions. Completely transformed the back of my house into an expansion to the deck/back yard. Front door was good construction, looks good, exactly what I asked for. The door knob they installed was not working correctly. They came back to switch out, but it did take a while to get them back. They did a good job with trim and making the door fit tight in an old house. Overall good experience, would use them again.

When we go for a quote, it really does depend on the product, the service, and the person that we are dealing with too. He was not that bad. The salesman's personality stood out. The cost was fine. He was professional, I just did not like him. He just did not jive with my personality.

Everything went smoothly on this project from beginning to end. Doug was excellent and professional in all respects. Pricing was fair and quality workmanship was outstanding. Doug went the extra mile during the entire project to make sure I was satisfied with the work. Was extremely pleased with the entire experience and would use him in the future.

Wonderful ! Had two large picture windows installed along with 9 other double hung windows. The guys did a fantastic job on the install. The picture windows were a challenge,and they did a wonderful job ! We are very pleased with the work and the price I would definitely recommend this company.

Originally I hired a contractor in April, 2016, for the installation and replacement of old windows on our front porch, replacement of a screen storm door on the front porch, and replacement of a storm door in the rear of the house. Every 6 to 8 weeks I called the contractor for status updates concerning our appointment for the work that was agreed upon. I was always told there was a problem with my order; glass broke on the storm door, delay in manufacturing, etc. Late in the summer I found out that the contractor I was dealing with went bankrupt. I called the main office in Ohio and was reassured that our contract would be honored, and the installation would be completed in a timely fashion. I was told that Doug Connor, owner of Universal Windows direct, out of Woodbridge, NJ would complete the job as written in our contract. True to their word, Universal Windows direct followed thru with every statement that was told to my wife and myself. Doug was very pro active in making sure the work was completed on time and done professionally. I certainly would refer Universal Windows direct with Doug Connor to any of my friends and family for construction in windows, doors, and siding. My wife and I are very happy with the whole experience as a result.

Windows and doors came sooner than was told it would take and were installed within 2 days. Everyone from the salesman to the installers were professional and a pleasure to deal with. Even a bee nest didn't keep them from getting the windows in.

From beginning to end, the process working with Doug, Mindy, and company could not have gone any smoother. Heard from them only minutes after requesting a quote online, and Doug was very flexible in his scheduling the estimate for when it was convenient for my wife and I. He clearly went over our options and helped us to make the best decision. We were given a 4-6 week timeframe to schedule the installation, but everything came in ahead of schedule and the doors were installed today, two weeks after signing the contract. The installers showed up right on time and made sure the doors were installed perfectly. They cleaned up after themselves, and it was quite a mess to clean up. Overall, I couldn't be happier with the way this project went, and I will definitely recommend them to any friends looking for new doors

The Owner Doug met the Subcontractors at my home prior to start and they went over the project entirely. The 2 man team removed and installed the windows in a professional manner for two days. On the 3rd day they added a man for clean up and a little extra help for the large windows they were very high and heavy. I could not be more pleased how Doug guided the team to product a beautiful job for my home. When I pointed out two small issues they took care of it immediately. My wife and I were very pleased with the quality of Product and the Professionalism from start to finish. The price was very reasonable compared to other 4 quotes we obtained prior to committing to Universal Windows NJ. The customer support team emailed and called from beginning to the end. The only item we had to handle was repainting and caulking all of the interior trim which was expected after such a hard job. In 3 days this was completed I was astonished to watch them work.

Arrived on time and work was completed as expected.

1st time I had Universal Windows to replace 2 windows in the bedrooms. It was a pleasant experience. So this time I called them again for more windows and a sliding door. Doug came and he was knowledgeable and professional. I signed the contract and gave him $500 deposit at the end of the estimate. Unfortunately my A/C broke down a couple of days later. We ended up replacing A/C and furnace. I have no money left for windows and the sliding door. Doug was so nice and understandable. He returned my check! I'll definitely use them again once I am ready. Thanks again, Doug!

I noticed sales person, Doug Connor, was not pushy and did not try to upsell with items not needed. Windows arrived before expected due date and were installed the following week. Installers were very conscientious, took their time, and did a great job with installation. The new windows open and close very easily. In fact, we can open them with one finger. We have also noticed they provide great insulating value. These windows were installed in a second home that is not cooled during the summer when we are not there. Despite those weeks that had each day's outside temperature between 95-100, the inside never got hotter than 81 degrees (I could check on my Nest thermostat). We were amazed the way it reduced the air conditioning costs and I am sure it will have the same impact on heating. We could not afford to do 4 additional windows when the 10 were installed but plan on doing the remaining 4 as soon as we can afford it. We are that pleased! I would strongly recommend using Universal Direct if you need windows. I mentioned this to one of my co-workers and he bought one of their sliding glass doors that was installed last week. He was just as pleased and his comments to me were almost identical to what I have stated above.

It went well from beginning to end. Mindy who runs the office scheduled the appointment with Doug who was out a day later. He explained our options and took the measurements. 2 weeks later Kelly headed the team that installed the new door. Looks great and unlike my old builders door, this one is fully insulated. Everyone I dealt with at Universal provided first class professional service.

Universal Windows Direct charged us a fair price for the job. The workers knew what they were doing and worked very hard even in the HOT summer temperatures. They cleaned up the work site every evening after working a full day (8am to 6pm) The job took seven days to complete. My husband and I were very pleased with the job done and would recommend UWD.

Doug was so helpful when he came for estimate I liked him immediately. His price was fair & in line w/other estimates. The installers were early and so pleasant and.

I contacted them about the work I needed done, and Doug Conner called me back within a day or two. I hadn't yet painted my house, and asked him what I should do, paint first or replace gutters first. He (wisely) told me paint first, and then they'll come in a do the gutters. Once the house was painted, they scheduled me for a couple of weeks after I contacted them letting them know I was ready. They had someone drop by the house to confirm what needed to be done after it was painted, and contacted me right away. Now, this is my only issue I have with the whole experience, and that is they sub-contracted the work out to Suazo Gutter Express out of Plainfield, New Jersey. Don't get me wrong, they did excellent work, and I couldn't be happier. This will save them the occasional issue with potential customers. Anyway, they showed up bright and early, and got right down to work. They were done in literally a few hours (I know my house isn't big, but holy moly that was fast), and poof, they were gone. They removed my old gutters and took them away (saving me from having to dispose of them myself). They didn't charge me one red cent for a deposit, and as of this writing (they just finished the gutters a few hours ago), I have not yet been billed. The quote was for $1862, but I had the guys add a long leader from the back of the house where I have drainage issues, to the front where it will run off down the hill into the street. Doug told me before they started that would be a little bit extra, but it's worth it.

We had 8 original windows from 1960 and another 10 windows from 1990 that needed to be replaced. So we brought Universal Windows in for an estimate. Doug was professional and highly knowledgeable as he walked us through the process. While here he noticed our porch and we stated that we don't get much use out of it with the plexiglass windows and we extended the estimate to include 6 sliders. He was diligent in in following up with us and ensuring we had all the information we needed. Once we signed the contract, his team came out to precisely measure our windows for production. A few weeks later his team came out to install the windows over three days. Our porch provided unexpected challenges, but his guys took the extra time to remedy the problem at no additional cost. Being a multi-dog household, we had concerns about them being less than welcoming to these "strangers" installing windows, but his guys were very accommodating, allowing us to relocate to different sections of our house and to avoid putting our dogs outside on a hot July day. Overall it was a very positive experience and we look forward to using them for future projects. We would highly recommend them to friends and family.

Working with Universal Windows was painless. Getting the quote from Doug was no nonsense. No long drawn out 90 minute presentation. He showed up, explained their windows, recommended what he thought was best after I explained what I was looking for. He took a few measurements and wrote me a quote right there. My gut said go with them, but I had other quotes scheduled and thought it would be fair to hear all quotes. Doug followed up a few days later to see if I had any questions. I called him a few days after that to let him know I wanted to move forward. We scheduled the final measurement for the next day. Rob came out, took the measurements and I gave them the deposit. I knew the window had to be made and they said it would take around 4-6 weeks. About 4 weeks later I get a call, the window is in and we set up the install date. The day of install Rob and his crew arrive. They are very polite, it was a messy job and they did good keeping the place clean. It took them about 6 hours to remove the old window and install the new one. Once they were done, they cleaned up showed me the window, I gave final payment and they were off. After they left I was cleaning the new window and noticed a black mark I couldn't get off. I called the office and let them know. Next day Doug called and sent Rob back out to take a look. Turns out the mark was on the inside of the glass. Without a question they ordered a replacement. About 2 weeks later the replacement was in and Rob came bay and swapped it out. Painless. The whole process was painless. Everyone is great, Mindy is great working to schedule a date that works best for both parties. I would absolutely use them again in the future. If you are on the fence, go with Universal you won't regret it.

Universal was responsive, timely and provided a quality offering at a reasonable price for a door replacement. Ultimately, I did not end up replacing the full door, but I would highly recommend Universal as an option, regardless, and plan on using their services in the future.

I love these windows. The look really nice and they were able to install them without me even being there. Everything went really smoothly, and they were a pleasure to deal with. As soon as I can afford it I'm going to have them back to do the upstairs windows. I also feel like it's a quality product and they didn't try to upsell me at all. I did end up spending a little extra for the pet-proof screen on the door, but I was the one who asked about it, and believe me when I say it was so worth it. my cats are constantly clawing at window screens and ruining them. I only wish I had gotten it on the window as well as the door.
