The estimate was in the middle of several and with research it was determined that the low end estimates were leaving out things and the higher end estimates were adding significant materials and suggesting they were the best, etc. Many of the roofers suggested that they were the only ones with long labor warranties, etc. This is not true. Wagner Roofing was honest in all of their discussions with us. No gimmicks, no cadillac materials, just what was necessary to give us a new roof. Color choices for the shingles were broad and we found one that was great. Signed the paperwork and within one week they were calling to let us know when they could do the roof. With this call they recommended that we cover the furniture under the skylights since we were getting new ones. The foreman discussed frequently with us what they were finding and what needed to be done throughout the process. The day of the work some of the crew arrived around 6:30 am to get set up and they were completely finished by 6:30 -7 pm. They replaced a few sheets of roof decking and we knew this area was bad. Some other areas could be renailed and they felt that the decking overall was sound. The crew worked throughout the day with a couple of breaks and lunch thrown in, but this is to be expected. We were wondering if they really would finish in one day but the weather held and the crew completed the job including all the clean up of the surrounding area. Clean up was fantastic, all debris and nails appear to have been picked up and there were only a few things not put back in exact locations. They even offered to clean up the inside after more debris than they expected fell in during the removal/installation of skylights.

They finished job in one day. Their clean up was great no debris left behind.

Over the years we have experienced serious leaks in a valley where two roof lines come together. My husband did a temporary fix but since we just recently had new hardwood floors installed, we wanted to be certain that this problem was taken care of once and for all and by a professional. I found Wagner's Roofing here at Angie's List and we gave them a call. The young lady that helped us on the phone was very knowledgable and pleasant and scheduled for an estimator to come and take a look at our project. They arrived when they said they would and promptly gave us a full description of what the situation would call for...basically removing several rows of siding and roofing and installing a rubber flashing material that would be glued (not nailed) in position. It was a fairly large area - 6 x 8 ...they also were to repair a smaller area around the chimney. Wagner's set up a time when they would arrive and estimated it would be about half a day's work. Their repairman Mike arrived promptly on time at 7:30 a.m. and was finished slightly before noon time. My husband has extensive construction experience and was very impressed with his job performance. We would highly recommend this company to friends and family.

I liked everything about them. They were punctual and on time. They did a good job and their price was good.

Got quote from 4 companies. Decided to go with them. Selected roof color. They arrived at 7:00 A.M. and were done by 4:30P.M. They were very nice and professional. Yard was left very clean. Cost was exactly the same as the quote.

It went well. They came highly recommended. They were able to repair it and use the original shingles.

Mike Wagner came out here and out checked everything gave us an estimate. We decided to go with him. He came over again on the day of the repair with a large crew. They were very efficient. We have a large house they did it all in one day and the roof is still good. I would use Wagner in the future.

I got 4 estimates, Wagners was in the middle. What sold me was that Wagner did not try to add to the project as others did. They have been around over 20 years and gave me an extensive list of homes to review/ drive by to see the actual shingle styles. They also added in the extra garage vent for nothing which was not part of the original estimate. Wagner left the place very clean, I didn;t even find one nail to pick up. A quality company to hire.

The copper flashing was a nice unexpected surprise. Our existing 18-year-old roof was leaking. We got three estimates and theirs was competitive and a little lesser than that of another well known roofer in the area. The woman who I spoke to over the phone was lovely. They did a great job with our roof. They were very efficient and did a great job cleaning up the debris. When they replaced the skylights it left us with a rough edge inside the house. We had to have somebody come out and do the trim work inside the house. When they were setting the skylights one of the workers walked into our house with tar on his feet. They sent somebody out twice to try to get the stains out of the carpet, but it didn't come out. That was the only unfortunate thing.

Repaired the roof and DIDN'T CHARGE FOR IT!!

Wagner Roofing was recommended by a friend several years ago and I would continue to recommend their work to my friends and neighbors. This is the second time I have used this contractor, the first was for repairs about 5 yrs ago and as of this year I decided to invest in a new roof. Mark did a full estimate including meeting with me to go over my concerns. I received a written estimate along with a detailed description of the work to be done and samples of the roofing materials. Permits were secured by the contractor, which is not a given when I was researching estimates. I did comparative pricing with 3 other roofers in the area. Pricing estimates were all within 5%. My decision was based on prior experience and their continued attention towards customer services. None of the other contractors made appts to meet with me and go over the work description or discuss the repair work done prior to this job. For this kind of money, I do expect some personalized attention, not just a phone call or voice mail message. On the day of the project all workers showed up on time, the team leader went over the details of the project before the work began and then completed the project with a walk around the house to view the new roof and cleanup of the property. The team leader went back over the details, the guarantee associated with the product and the workmanship. I am highly satisfied with the work performance and quality of this project.

They did a good job. I was happy with that. I’ve had a couple of tough jobs done by them and they have done well. I was overall satisfied with their work. They came out and did the job in two thirds of the day, and lots of workman. They cleaned up well. I got some other price from another contractor and Wagner was several thousand dollars cheaper. Apart from that, Wagner did good work. They fixed a small leak in the roof for me some years ago and they did a good job. I always value their work, their craftsman and when they come to give a recommendation. It barely struck me that they are pretty reputable. They have done quite a bit of work in the neighborhood especially on the roofs. I would recommend them. He’s somebody that applies to that. He’s excellent but I don’t have a whole lot to compare it to. I would hire them again. In fact I did, I had a small leak below the window into the garage. At first I thought it was the gutters and after some time I called Wagner. They came out and charged me $250, and they did a pretty good job. It was not related to the roof that they put on. It was something that was never done right by the builder of the house in the beginning. That area was not sealed properly. So Wagner did a pretty good job on that at a reasonable price. Their price was very fair. The others were charging me $2000 more. Their quality is very good. There’s no leak in the roof. The sky lights were tricky to replace but they did well. I would use their services again in the future.

The quality and workmanship was great, they were clean and organized, however they were very expensive. I would use them again in the future depending on how much money we have at the time.

Their work was excellent. I liked the work which they did from beginning to end, their customer service, the workers they had sent, the care that they took, the way they cleaned up everything, and their communication. Their price was fair. There were no complains to be had. I would absolutely use them in future.

I have a roof leak somewhere. I called and they came out to get up on the roof within the hour. Mark was nice and took off his shoes in the house which I really appreciate. Mark shoveled snow and ice off my roof and said he would come back next week when it's dry to get a look at where the possible leak might be.

He said he would have a team take care of this work in one day. We were concerned that if something went wrong he wouldn?t come back. We decided not to go with him because of this.

Accurate price estimate, prompt, work completed on time and within budget. Sent large crew and finished the work asap.

Mark, the owner came out to provide estimate. Said he wanted to get his flat roof people here to confirm his thoughts and would contact me the following week for an appointment. No call back from Mark. Called Wagner twice and left messages for him to find out when his people would come back with no response from Mark or anyone else at Wagner.

My father-in-law hired this company and got a good offer. They did a great job and didn't run into any problems. We are happy with the results and would look into this company for future projects.

The owner of the company (Mike Wagner) arrived at the estimate appointment early, but answered all my questions and his explanations were helpful. Price estimate was reasonable compared to other quotes I obtained. Though not lowest, it was close to the least expensive estimate (around $6,500) and nowhere near some of the highest (approaching $16,000). The company also provides a 25 year labor guarantee on top of the manufacturer's warranty. When I signed the contract, I was told that the company was 1 to 1 1/2 weeks out from performing the job. In the end, it took nearly a month to get a date, which could partially be attributed to the rainy month. Still, communication could have been better there. On the day of the job, an army of 14 roofers arrived at 7:15 AM (15 minutes early) and got right to work. The foreman was professional and was able to answer my questions about different aspects of the job. The job was finished around 4 PM and I was very satisfied with the result. One minor complaint is that some of the grass was burned (perhaps because some chemicals got on it), but otherwise, I was satisfied with the cleanup. I've found some roofing and a few nails around the house, but nowhere near what was there before it was cleaned up. The final cost was slightly ($150) more than the estimate, as some additional wood was required to replace some rotted wood.

After a failed repair by another company, we contacted Wagner(as well as several other companies)for an estimate to fix a leaking roof. I was impressed with the responsiveness and professionalism from everyone I spoke with, from the receptionist, to the owner, to the roofer who completed the job. Their estimate was one of the lowest and they were very knowledgeable about the problem(wrong type of material had been installed on a low-pitch roof). The roofer arrived promptly, answered all my questions, completed the job quickly(on a very cold day!)and completely cleaned up all materials and debris afterward. The problem was completely fixed and we've had no additional leaks. I plan to hire them again if needed and would highly recommend them to anyone.

Person showed up for estimate, said could do it and gave estimate. Never sent me a written estimate and repeated calls to office talking to secretary resulted in no return calls, written estimate, or scheduled time for work.

They are very reliable and honest. They do more than just pure roofing, they also do skylights. I thought I'd try them and they came when they were supposed to, they are reliable and have all worked together for a long time.
