My house is 20 years old. We recently had a torrential rainstorm. Sitting in my 2nd floor office, rain began leaking through the ceiling. I looked for a roofing company with a good reputation and called Wagner Roofing in Flemington, NJ. They were quick to respond and sent Mark out who climbed up on top of my roof and detected leaks in flashing around the vent pipes. He caulked all of them and even cleaned out my dryer vent. He gave me an estimate on a new roof but that was it. “No charge for today,” said Mark. He never tried to sell us anything or scare us. His honesty and integrity were so refreshing that I was a little shell shocked initially, and so impressed I decided to go for a new roof anyway. The quote was right on the money, as well! They were about a month out but they arrived this week with a crew of 8. So organized! I have a pretty big roof with a few gables, but they got the entire job done from 7 am to 5:45 pm, working the cleanup in the dark. Foreman, Lito, was very helpful and made sure I was happy every step of the way. In my opinion, this is a company that should be patronized for your roofing needs!

Overall very good. They were fair, prompt, polite, and did a nice job. Communication could have been a bit better as I heard nothing for weeks after giving them the go-ahead, then one-day's notice that they were coming the next day (I was out of town). Overall no big deal, and like I said, they were very good, but probably something they can work on to improve.

Initially, Mark tried to fix the problem with roofing tar (patch)around the skylights and sewer vent. While this appeared to help for awhile the leak came back. We then decided to fix the area around 2 of the lower skylights since that was where the water was coming into the house. Unfortunately, the leak was still there, so we decided to redo the whole section of roof up to the ridge including another skylight up higher on the roof. The problem for me was having to temporarily remove some solar panels in that area. Amy worked with the solar panel people to coordinate the work and everything went smoothly. The guys from Wagner did a great job replacing the upper skylight and so far there have been no more leaks. Although it did end up costing approximately $6000.00 for the whole job, I believe Mark did everything he could to try and save me money, I have to commend them for sticking it out until the job was completed to my satisfaction. I would definitely use them again if I need more roofing work. (Hopefully not for awhile).

It went perfectly. Lido and the gang were very professional - they got here on time, worked hard all day, did the tear-off and replacement in one day, cleaned up all the mess - everything you could ask for. Lido explained how they would proceed and answered our questions politely and well. Wagner was a little flexible on price up-front. And - they cleaned the gutters while they were up there. The office staff was great, too - thanks, Amy!

Solid, cost-effective work, decent to good communication, cleanup was better than average. Crew seemed to be efficient and know what it was doing. Definitely would use again and recommend.

The crew came at 7am, as promised. A dumster quickly followed. There were 11 guys on the roof at some points and it took them only five hours to finish the job. They were efficient and professional.

It was like watching Batteries Not Included. The crew showed up bright and early, draped the whole house to protect plants from falling debris, and had the roof down to bare wood by about 9 am. They were done with the entire house by 2:30. Perfect job, and even volunteered to reroof our shed at no extra cost so that the shingles would match. They also fixed some areas of rotten sheathing at no charge, and built a roof cricket to shed water away from a problem area.

Professional, courteous, knowledgeable

From the very first contact with Wagner Roofing, we knew that we would use them for our roof. We had other roofers out for estimates and they looked at our multi-level roof from the driveway and spat out a number. Wagner's representative actually took a ladder out of his truck and got on our roof (imagine that!) so that he could give us as specific an overview of the work that needed to be done as he could. He also spent a good amount of time with my husband and I, explaining the differences in shingle manufacturers and the products that would be used. Another factor that pushed us to use Wagner was that they provided a list of addresses of clients' homes so that we could see the shingles on roofs in the daylight instead of just a small rectangle in the sample book. The colors looked much different "in the real world" and that helped guide our decision as far as manufacturer and color went. After a couple of false-starts (cancellation due to rain, for which we were called days in advance), we had a solid date for our roof. We were told the crew would be here at 7:00 am and get started. To be honest, I thought 7-ish to drop off the shingles, then have coffee and breakfast to start the day. Nope; our doorbell rang at 7:00 sharp and the crew was busily unloading tools and materials while the foreman spoke with us about what was going to happen. There was no wasted time; our roof was stripped of the old layers and shingles started going on just as quickly. Again, we assumed they would be here until 4 or 5:00 pm, but they finished before 1 because of the machine-like precision every crew member used. They were courteous, professional and left our yard spotless! Their prices were in-line with and better than some of the other roofers and their service and professionalism were head-and-shoulders above the other people we had to the house. I cannot recommend them highly enough!

Delivered on time. Did a good job. Cleaned up after.

They stayed in close contact from the day Angies list recommended them until the day they performed the work. They advised us how to prepare and recommended us to a chimney mason who needed to complete chimney work before the roof could be done and they they came to do the roof 1 day after chimney work was completed.

I had our chimney cleaned and I was told by the chimney sweep that the step flashing needed repair. I called Wagner and they sent Mark out to give me an estimate. Mark inspected the step flashing and when I asked how bad it was he said all it needed was some caulking and I already did it. I asked him how much I owed him and he said nothing and added that the roof was in good shape. I was expecting to have to have the step flashing replaced and getting a bill for several hundred dollars. How about that, an honest company. Most companies don't do business like that. If I need a roof repair in the future, I'll call Wagner.

Start to finish Wagner was fantastic. Amy in the office was very pleasant and articulate. Their schedule was full, but they still were able to accommodate our needs. Lido the foreman was a very professional and energetic leader to the 10 man staff that came and completed the above job in ONE HOT DAY!

Wagner was sent by our handyman to check the roof on our family room after a stress/water crack developed on one of the walls after this winter. Wagner did the inspection and honestly told us nothing needs to be done on the roof. We were thinking roof needs reflashing. They saved us $$ by being honest. Will use them again.

Professional all the way. Mark the estimator, Liddo the foreman, and Amy the office manager all worked to get us the solution to our roofing problem. On roofing day, Liddo set the tone for the crew of 8. They were neat, first putting down tarps to catch the material being removed and protecting the house and deck and then cleaning up after they finished. As they worked on removing the old roof, we were kept informed on what they found and what they would be doing. They worked hard, as a team, preparing, tar papering, flashing and shingling the roof. I would definitely use them again. I recommend them highly.

Everything was done in a short period of time and I am condident that all is fine. I recomment Wagner roofing to my whole nieghborhood, they show up on time, are curteous, and through.

I contacted three contractors listed on Angie's list for quotes. Wagner Roofing was comparable on price, but provided more complete details in the quote, and better materials. I was originally told they could start the installation in two weeks, but at my request they fit into my schedule, and did the installation about a week earlier than their original estimate. They completed the total removal of the old roof, some plywood repair, and installation of the new roof in one day. Wagner roofing arrived a few minutes early to start the job, had a large, well organized, and experienced/skilled crew, and equipment to lift the roofing and felt onto the roof. They covered landscaping, and did a thorough clean-up when they finished. Even though they had an A rating on Angie's List, they exceeded my expectations.

He did not come on the Saturday he said, but came a few days later. He did a great job and cleaned up after.

They were awesome and he was awesome. He was very receptive. He called back very quickly. He gave me an estimate very quickly. He noticed that the framing of the roof was questionable and it didn't make any sense to put a brand new roof on if the structure wasn't good and that I should get that checked out first. He didn't have to tell me that.

Seven years ago Wagner replaced the roof on our home. They did an excellent job. We have had no complaints with the work peformed. Even hurricane Sandy was not able to do any damage to our roof. No leaks and no shingles were lost. Twice we had a minor leak in the winter due to an ice dam and Wagner promptly fixed the issue. We recommended them to our friend and they are pleased with the work done on their house. Especially because they had other estimates and was told the roof was too steep to work on. Wagner had no problems putting on a new roof.

Very prompt to come out and provide an estimate. Kept in touch while waiting for the skylight to come in. Courteous and professional crew came out to remove old one and install new one. Great experience, no issues at all!

He was honest, punctual and totally professional. We will contact Wagner when the roof needs to be replaced.

I originally called them to fix a leak y roof, They came out promptly did a temporary repair and told me what the problem was. They wouldn't accept any compensation for the temporary repair which stopped the leak. All that they said was that when I was going to Wagner was very good. About 2-4 months later after getting 3 qoutes i decided to go with Wagner for my roof replacement. They were the 2nd lowest price I received. But when I check out the lowest contractor I found that they had a number of complaints against them and Wagner had none. The money was worth the peace of mind. I couldn't be happier with the job they did.
