Cowleys Pest Services

We initially called them to check our fireplace for animal activity. They actually came sooner than scheduled because he had a cancellation. He indicated that a squirrel had apparently been in the fireplace but had somehow crawled up and gotten out. He recommended putting caps on our chimney. We already had a cap on one opening but there were 2 more. We said OK and he was back the next day to put the caps on.

They over charged. I talked to a few other companies after the fact. And offered the same service about three hundred dollars cheaper. I used them again to remove raccoons. And the tech though cat hair was termite hair that was inside of a vacant apartment.

They did their job. They were fine and no problem.

Everything went well - They explained what they were going to do and it was done.. no fuss no muss.

I just used them about three or four weeks ago for an ant problem and he was just back as we spotted a few ants and we did the places. I had them for squirrel problems several years ago and they were in my attic. He mainly trapped them and I hope they took them to some public park or something. He did a really good job. All the baseboards in the house, the entire exterior of the house, the foundation of the house and really considering the type of infestation we had he did wonders. Now he came back and we did a couple of areas and in good sense. The owner’s son named Drew Cowley was a nice young man. They did a very complete job, they were pleasant and were on time and all things a company should be and they returned with no extra charge to finish completely. It’s been a long time since I used or any exterminator and I thought it was fair especially the fact that he came out the second time and he was a very nice boy.

Came twice a year as scheduled. Came promptly when needed all other times.

He did a wonderful job, very quickly. I left a message lastnight and they were here today.

A little peturbed that I had to call them and remind them of the spraying and the bait traps. But I have used them before and they have done an excellent job, mouse issues, insect spraying. They have also bat-proofed the house.

Their service calls and treatments have always been very effective. Their service staff are knowledgeable,and well trained. Cowley's also sends out a newsletters on a regular basis to help their customers deal with seasonal pest problems.

Their service is always very reliable and professional. They do quality work and follow up on the work they do.

I'm happy with the results. I've had no issues, no bugs. They will call and schedule an appointment if they need to get into the house. They are polite and very reasonable for the work you get.

They are great to work with. So far this pass year we have had a skunk and a possum under our deck. They are always friendly and are very knowledge in regards to unwanted animals who decide to make their home under our deck, which by the way we have tried to fix this little problem with the help of Crowley's.

We have a service contract with them. Very reliable and professional. Highly recommended.

I will not renew the agreement. They were very nice, but the ants & spiders kept on returning.

I've had issues with thoroughness in the past, not just with my account but a family member and friend as well. I hesitantly renewed the annual contract. This year the supervisor Joe performed the inspection with great professionalism, listening attentively to my concerns and complaints. If his performance translates to other technicians, then my future expectations should be worry free.

Very efficient, prompt & courteous. Have a year contract with them. They have had to return a couple of times because things got stirred up with hurricane Sandy. They have come at their scheduled times, tomorrow (10/22/13) is one of them. I am very pleased and will renew next spring.

I used their service twice in the past 10 years. The first time I used their service was back in 2004, and I was very pleased with them overall (price, quality, professionalism). I used them this year (2013) despite the fact that I was told there would be a $150 "inspection" charge for someone to come up and inspect the problem first. I should have used common sense and not schedule the appointment I ended up scheduling. Of course, when the inspector came, the overall cost of the work was a lot more than I was expecting to pay. I went ahead with the service knowing that I would otherwise pay $150 inspection fee for practically nothing. Because of their up front charge, I will never hire them again. I can't complain about the quality of Cowley's work, but it is really not worth paying the up front inspection fee to what amounts to a sales person trying to negotiate price with you. There must be other pest control companies that would do the job without an upfront fee.

Responded quickly to my report of a possible system failure. Found no failure and eased my mind.

They have been very good. They are very reasonable prices. Their service is excellent.

I have not seen any termites since then. They did a good job and were efficient and cleaned up after themselves.

Overall, they did good work. They are fairly responsive. Their pricing was a little high. They did not call before they came out.

They did the work and everything went alright. They showed up on time and did everything neatly and properly. No complaints.

Dealing with Cowleys was a classic example of a service provider that is all smiles in the beginning and promises you the world, and then quickly turns into a nightmare once the contract is signed. Phil, the manager of their wild-life removal divison, is a hot-head who overpromises in the beginning, and then yells at you if you have any questions later on. In the end, they took $800 and didn't trap the animals they primosed to trap. They simply stopped trapping after a 2 weeks and refused to come back saying the contract was up, even though I was promised unlimited trapping. One of the worst experiences I've had with a service provider.

They are not seeing themselves as responsible for dents and furniture/bedding damages. They also do not leave your home as you left it, like it states in their contract. Heat treatment does NOT WORK DON'T PAY 3 grand for it and they were hour and half late. And as per contract I never received a report on temps to hill bugs in home.
