ITS LONG BUT PLEASE READ THE WHOLE THING FOR FAIR AND ACCURATE ACCOUNT Did the service on 6/18/14. A few factual corrections: The customer did not pay $150 for a couple of seams. She paid $120 for 6 seams, which was a discounted price, and she paid an additional $40 because, as she did state, her home was grossly over the sqft allowed by the deal she purchased. We do deals, every now and then, and offer discounted prices through these deals, but they have limits. She bought a deal for $89 for 3000 sqft home. According to multiple public records, her home was 4858 sqft, 1858 sqft over the deal. Her home was almost double the size limit, but were were only charging $40 extra. So the total she paid for gutter cleaning at her home was $129, which for a home her size, is the deal of the year. And then 6 seams for $120. And I say all that to say that there most of been some further discussion about the price, because she actually only paid $140, so that would have been $40 for the gutter cleaning and $100 for the seams. It does appear that there was an issue with scheduling, as she was on 6/9/14 and the it was changed to 6/18/14. This was half a year ago, so I am not sure the reason why, but it could have been from multiple things, such as rain (as we wouldn't be able to seal seams when it was raining), or the crew rain out of time due to weather traffic, crew people sick, van broke down. For whatever the reason was, i'm sure we were apologetic as there are multiple things that can happen beyond our control. Beyond the service, I can say that the person who did her work is no longer with us. I first heard from CUSTOMER on Angie's List message center in response to a generic message I sent out. She told me about her issues, and I assured her it would be no problem to address them. SHE SENT ON 11/5/14 Please be advised that my gutters now DO NOT DRAIN after the "repair". The tons of goop filled into "repair" the seam leaks acted as great dams to hold the water in the gutter. Now gutters have standing water and "drip for up to a week after a rain. I will have to replace all "repaired" gutters. What a waste of money. If I could I would add this to the review but unfortunately I can't seem to add this information to angies list. I SENT BACK ON 11/5/14 First off, I'm sorry if there is anything in regards to our service that you are unhappy about. if there is an issue with the seams causing standing water, we would be happy to come out and adjust and redo them, but that is at your discretion. There would of course be no charge to come out, but we can't come out without your permission. A seam being too large or causing holding water would never, ever, ever be a reason to replace a gutter. If somebody told you this, I would be very wary and cautious. The only time a gutter ever needs to be replaced is when it is rusting. Rusting can't be fixed or removed. A seam, however, can be redone easily. And standing water in your gutter wouldn't cause rust in 6 months. The oxidation of galvanized metal, if your gutters are galvanized metal, would take years to do, 3 years minimum. If your gutters are aluminum, you could have a hose poring water 24/7 in the gutter and it would never rust. I'm not sure if there is anything I can say of comfort to you about our service. This appears that it was the first time you used our company, so it was a first impression, and there isn't the hindsight of having other various services from us to compare it to. I can tell you the the person who did your repairs on your home is no longer with this company, so if the main focus of your contention is the quality of repair, this is a matter that has already been addressed for future services. Similarly, if you went to a restaurant for the first time and didn't like the food your ordered, then I assure you that the cook is no longer with us and your next meal will be of better standards. I hope you don't judge us, or any business, in total, but the actions or experience for one instances and one employee. Granted, we have the highest ratings and best reputation of any company in our industry, but still mistakes can happen and no person is immune to error. Every now and then, there will be a customer unhappy about something and suggest that they will never use us again. My analogy to this is if one walmart employee once accidentally rang you up twice for $5 item, would you take a stance that you would never use another Walmart anywhere for the rest of your life? The service you received sound less than par, and I am sorry for that, but I assure you it was from one servicer for the 37 employees we have at this company; and as I pointed out, that person was excused from our company not but a month after your service was done. What I have always found is the measure of customer service isn't when things go right all the time, but if things go wrong and what a company does to answer for them. We didn't know about this issue till your message today, but you have a guarantee on that work and, if they seams are causing standing water, we would like to check it out, investigate, and if that is what is determined, we'll redo the seams. I know you didn't ask for this, as you were just sharing a grievance, but if I were in your shoes, and this was an issue on my home, that would be the response I would want from the company. We are ready to send a supervisor out to investigate and address, we just need you to ring us up to do it. And I can't stress enough, there would be no reason of logic or science that would take a gutter from a seam being to large to needing to replace a gutter. If your gutter needed replacement, we would have said something about this 5 months ago, and nothing could have happened in the last 5 months, save a tree branch falling off and smashing the gutter, that would require the gutters to be replaced. If you had someone out to your home, and they told you the gutters need to be replaced because some seams were too large, I would seriously question the ethics and motivations involved. I'll let the office aware of the concern you have with the standing water, and they'll make note on your account for when you call us to schedule the supervisor to come look. If there is anything else I can do, or any other questions or concerns you may have about the work done or our service in general, you can reply here or, for faster response, email me directly at brad@atlantasbestguttercleaners.com. Thank you for reaching out to us with your concern, and taking the time to read this response. Our number to call us to arrange the supervisor to come out is 770-677-6690, notes are already on the account. Thank you BACK TO NOW So that was what I sent her. The notes were made to go back out, but she never called, or responded to the message center again. I swear, and would sign a legal affidavit, the above is exactly how the transaction occurred, we were sitting in the office, waiting for a call of when to come back out and it never came. Everything was there to fix her issue at the dial of 10 numbers, but we heard nothing. Just over a month later, she posts this D review. If any customer has any doubt whatsoever of our professionalism and if we stand by our work, come to our office, I’ll log in and show you that we responded just as indicated above, and I can show you on our computerized call log, which makes note of every call coming in and going out, that she never called us to schedule. On the life of my 6 month old son, we were all set up and ready to redo every seam, on her word on the issue, and she never scheduled.
