Very professional, took care of the system and did repairs needed. Showed me what had to be done and did the work quickly and professionally...On my A list!

I contacted Greg Tanzer Sprinklers to perform repairs on my current 5 zone system (3 heads and 2 leaks) and to install a new zone in my front yard. Communication was initially very clear, concise and timely when working with their scheduler. When the tech arrived to install the system I was happy, he was right on time. To my dismay he immediately informed me that he would not be able to complete all of the work and that he was only able to perform the repair- Frankly, I could have saved $500 and done the repairs myself. I initially only allowed the repairs to be completed as they were going to be there anyway and figured it would incentivice the company to take an otherwise relatively small job (5 head install). As he has already arrived, I agreed to let the tech complete the repairs at an hourly rate of $90 per hour + parts/ tax. Bill came to just over $430.00 for 3 hours worth of labor and parts, doesnt sound cheap but definetly reasonable given the repairs and time. I do have an issue with the fact that the company has not completed the work I initially contracted them to do- Based on both written email, angies list messages and verbal confirmation the expectations were quite clear. The tech instructed me to call the company to discuss and until 24 hours later I had not heard back. When they did finally call back I still received no apology for a miscommunication, no offers to complete the work, no discount offer on the completed service but was offered to be bounced around their phone system of departments so I could speak with the proper contact to schedule another appointment which should have been properly handeld the right time. Word to the wise, in my personal experience they follow up pre-appointment is spot on. However, once booked there is a severe lack of customer service and response. For this, I would not recommend this company nor use their services ever again in the future. The tech was fantastic, it seems to me that its a customer service, corporate, organizational issue rather than the field tech.

The technician turned on my system, and replaced some broken heads. He did NOT know how to turn the system on, and when he finally did, I asked that all heads water my new bushes. Now, my system does NOT work at all, and TANZER will not return my phone calls and messages. I have a contract with TANZER and have been a customer of his since his inception. BTW, when the technician left, left all of the parts of the old sprinkler heads laying all around, and he had used my step ladder and left this in the middle of my garage. TANZER has outgrown his abilities and has become unreliable!!!

They responded quickly. They put down a liquid but it looks like they over did it on a couple of spots on the lawn.

I've used Greg Tanzer sprinklers for a few years now and never had a problem with them previously. The technician who came to my house today though was horrible, and very unprofessional. He came to turn on the system and identified a few things that needed maintenance. After speaking with him he told me that there would be a $75 labor charge to try and clean the valve that was malfunctioning, and if he couldn't fix it, there would be an additional charge for the part, this was fine. I asked him to perform the work. 10 minutes later I received a call from home, as I had to leave that he was asking for more money, I asked to speak with him and he said that I only had 30 minutes left for him to replace it and if he couldn't replace within that time he would charge me another 75 for labor, I told him this was unacceptable and that it had only been 10 minutes he said he'd been there for an hour and a half. I asked him if they charged by the hour for the system turn on and he said no that it's a flat fee, so there is no way that he should've included the time he spent turning on my system into the repair charge. He then told me that I was on the clock and the more time I spent on the phone with him the less time he had to fix it within the allotted time. I told him that I don't want the work done, and that I wouldn't be paying the $75 dollars extra for the 10 minutes he spent not doing any work. I later called the main office and spoke to Josie who was very friendly, and courteous. That technician today has ruined the good relationship I had with this company.

I have used Greg Tanzer Sprinklers several times in the past, and overall have been pleased with their performance. Their prices for basic services I have found to be reasonable, and the technicians have arrived on time and have been very professional in their work. My one big complaint is that I generally find it extremely difficult to get through to someone from the company to schedule appointments. Whenever I call, I get a menu of options of people to speak with. I always end up getting their voicemails, but the employees never return my calls. It is extremely frustrating, and the one negative point for a business that I have had positive experiences with overall.

I contacted Greg Tanzer and was given a very fast appointment for a slaesman to come out. Jimmy came to my home. He was going to be 5 minutes late and called me to advise. He was extremely detailed and friendly. Did not try to sell me anything else and was obviolsy reputable. Before he left, I had a scheduled date to install within a week and a signed contract. On the day on install, the crew showed on time did a fantastic job and when the left the only visible sings were the colored flags idenifying where the prinklers heads were. All in all this was one of the most professional and easy business transactions I have had the pleasure of being a part of. This is a top not companynd one I highly reccomend!

They showed up a little late but did the work in a professional manner. I would use them again.

Upon purchasing the deal, they asked and received my phone number. Never heard from them. I have then called 3 times and was unable to get through to the Service Dept but left msgs. They have yet to return my call 5 days later.

They came out and I wasn't satisfied with how they would be doing the work and canceled the service.

Not good. I called to make an appointment for a Saturday estimate. The individual I spoke with asked if I wanted their first appointment on Saturday morning at 8 am to which I said yes. We rearranged our plans to be home for this appointment and I had set my alarm for 7:40 am. As I am walking downstairs at 7:45 am for what is supposed to be an 8 am appointment on a Saturday morning, I see the estimator from Greg Tanzer pulling out of the driveway. I walk outside and my neighbor tells me that this guy just decided to show up early (before 7:30 am), waited around for 15 mins and then left at 7:45 (15 minutes before the appointment is supposed to start). He did all of this without even calling my cell phone (which I gave them when I made the appointment). Who has the nerve to show up at a prospective customers house 30 minutes before a schedule appointment and not even wait around until the scheduled appointment is supposed to start. This is not only unprofessional but evidences a sincere lack of respect for your customers. I would strongly suggest that you think twice before using this company.

It went very good. They were on time and there were no issues. I have used them again. They were very professional.

I bought this in big Angie's list deals. Got an email for the appointment and confirmed the it. Provider finished the service on time.

He blows out the water from your sprinkler. I will be using them again. They did come on time, so the punctuality was fine. Initially, I found him on Angie's list and when I called him the price was reasonable.

I turned out really well. I am going to use them again. I liked them. This guy was very friendly and very accommodating with my schedule and did the job well; no problems. I liked them so much that I recommended my neighbor to call them, they did and they came over and did my neighbors job too. To have your sprinklers winterized, that was a ridiculously reasonable price. Usually it is anywhere between a $100 and $150 and to have them do it for $69, it was like a steal. It was a great price. They were here for forty-five minutes, they had to take all the water and air out of all the zones, and they can’t rush through it. So it is a pretty great deal for all that time from the service guy.

From scheduling to execution, they were on target.

Come on time, do it quickly and professional.

They guy that came was very sharp, and on time. He was very professional and did what he said he would do.

Overall, this was a horrible experience. First, I made an appointment for a winterization and they never showed up. So I called back the next business day and they explained a mistake happened. So I gave them the benefit of the doubt and booked another appointment which they proceeded to show up for, 45 minutes late! The real kicker? They refused to provide a way of contacting them on the weekends (when they schedule appointments) so you can't even get in touch to find out what's going on. I tried calling their office and went through every extension offered and no one ever answered. I basically wasted two days of two different weekends waiting around for these guys to perform a basic service that took all of a half hour.

They did a good job. The cost of the service was reasonable. The scheduling of the appointment was done in a timely fashion.
