In 2014 they did well, no problems all season. In 2015 they were just awful! They started up the system in May and that was ok - (paid only $18.80 for a nozzle and to fix a leak since was on contract there was no service call charge)...and they came in June, to replace a rotor head and also needed to replace the backflow unit as they stated it was old and needed to be replaced (paid $631.81 - included a service charge since contract only included one service call) Then on July 2, they came to replace some broken fittings (zone 4) and a mist head (zone 3) and stated there were many leaks to be repaired (zone 3 (paid $252.74 which also included a service charge). Then they came back to raise a mist head by shrubs (zone 1) that were growing too tall and blocking the spray (paid $86.03 included another service charge). Then they came back to replace a solenoid (zone 3) and unclog 2 mist heads (zone 3) (paid $121.67 included another service charge). When I paid for the zone 3 problems, I sent a note informing them: "2 guys came here on 7/2 @ 7 p.m. and made repairs to zone #3. I couldn't use zone #3 @ 10 a.m. on 7/3 - - when someone came to fix zone #3 and replace the solenoid, he found 2 clogged mist heads on zone 3 which should have been repaired on 7/2 when repairs were made on that zone - I shouldn't have had to pay a service charge twice." 11/2/15 someone came to winterize the entire sprinkler system (no charge - part of contract). 1/28/2016 I noticed (and took pictures) the gold cover of back flow unit pushed off by formation of a few inches of ice - if winterized properly, this shouldn't have happened!

It went well. They did everything and finished on time with no issues. I was very satisfied.

The water was turned off in the basement. a industrial strength compressor was connected to the backflow preventer to drain the water from the sprinkler system. The sprinkler was on for about two minutes in each zone to ensure that water was properly drained (when the water turned from mist to air).

On time, good professional behavior, excellent attitude. During the procedure one sprikler head pops out due to excessive pressure, fixed with a new one. No extra charge.

We just moved into a home with a sprinkler system and knew we would need to winterize the system before the temperatures dropped. Greg Tanzer Sprinklers were professional, quick and answered all our questions about the system since we didn't know everything about it. We used a coupon on Angie's list for the service but would recommend them with or without a coupon. We will be using them yearly going forward. Thanks for a great job done!

The team was absolutely amazing ! I was so concerned because we had just planted bushes, ferns and azaleas..... They worked so neat, so careful. In the end it was as if the irrigation heads had appeared by magic. Everything was done in 4-5 h. The guys were super polite and professional and answered all our questions. They worked while it was raining real hard. I couldn't be happier.. It took us a very long time to decide to expand the irrigation system because I was afraid of the mess we'd have and the displaced plants. This was absolutely not the case. They installed a zone in an area of the garden which I thought would be impossible to dig through. They did it ! couldn't be any happier with the work done. I forgot to mention that it took only 3 days to schedule the work and have it done. Thank you !!

Technician Tucker showed up right when I was told he would. Great, friendly guy. After showing him my system's issues, he got right to work. Even helped me move my rabbit cage for better operation of one of the sprinkler heads. Very happy with the service.

It wasn't that good, but I don't think it's their fault because I didn't read the contents before I called. They did come on time.

I was satisfied with it. They came out right away. They had to do some additional work and they came on the 1st to do that. There were additional charges beyond the big deal price because they had to replace some things. The additional charge was $200. This was the first time that I used them. They were very efficient and courteous. They answered my questions. When I realized that something had to be completely replaced, I asked if there was another way of handling it. He said, "Well, the water is just running. You could just do it at another time." They were more expensive than the person I was using. As far as I know, I've got no problems now.

I have been unable to speak to anyone at this company to schedule an appointment for the Spring start-up service. I would call and leave a message and I would usually get a return call after 5PM when I am on the train and there is no cellular service. I even tried leaving a message with suggested service dates that were at least 2 weeks away and received no acknowledgement or alternate date. At this point I am totally fed up and just want a refund of the fee paid.

Service has been been a disaster. Has not responded to my requests to return my check as they did not start my sprinkler system. During spring startup was told by their service guy that I needed a new control unit, turns out it was a minor issue with my electrical converter. Still waiting to get my refund check back for the start up service. Customer service is non-existent as far as I can tell.

Went with them because of an special deal on Angies List. After we bought the deal, it was not possible to get a hold of them. I don't understand why the receptionist couldn't schedule appointments and the service guys were not good at returning calls, presumably because they're on the field all day. I received a call at 4:58 p.m. and when I called back the office was closed and they never tried calling me back again until I called back several days later when it became clear that they were just going to call you once. I understand it's summer and it's busy, but why not the courtesy of a call back? Does it have to be so difficult to schedule an appointment

I would like to praise the entire staff of the Gregg Tanzer Team for the speed and professionalism with which they came and installed a new sprinkler system. The work took 2.5 hours, and they really kept the lawn looking great (you could barely tell that work was done after they finished). After they were finished, they explained step by step and showed how each zone sprays and works. A special kudos to James Scarmazzo who was very professional and knowledgeable, throughout the entire process. We highly recommend to anyone looking to install a sprinkler system!

Job went fine. Standard winterization procedure that is straightforward.

Scheduled an appointment for 6/5/15 @ 8:00 am Provider never showed up and when I called the provider tried to tell me my appt was for 6/12/15 even though I had a recording saying 6/5/15 Rescheduled for 6/12/15 at 8:00 am - at 8:20am provider called and said they couldn't make it until 4:00pm Called provider and cancelled appt Provider never notified worker, who called and said he couldn't make it at 4:30 and that he was running late This is all after never showing up for scheduled start up

Original date of installation was Thursday, June 11. They called me to inform me that an opening was available on Monday, June 8. I took it. They came within the window they provided for installation. They did an outstanding job. It was very professional. They worked clean outside and inside. It was almost difficult to tell that the system had been in stalled. The grass was replaced so that it was difficult to see where the ground had been dug up. The whole crew was very polite. Once the system was installed, the team leader instructed me on how to use the system. The next morning the sprinklers came on and worked exactly as they were supposed to. The six zone, 25 sprinkler system watered every inch of my lawn and all the shrubbery and flowers around the house. My wife and I are very pleased. We would rate them A+ if we could. We certainly recommend them for anyone who wants this system put in by a great professional organization.

It was good. There were a few hiccups, but they fixed them.
