Price was fair and service and install went on time and as planned. Place was left immaculate as could be after all the digging etc. We timed it so they would install right after fruit trees went in (for proper positioning). So it appreciated they worked with us on the timing. I also have an ongoing service contract and service when there is a problem is nothing short of spectacular. They get here quickly, almost always have the part, and we are back and running in no time. There have not been problems with the unit, more a problem where mower met sprinkler head and the head lost the battle. Also a wire came loose in control box and they had to troubleshoot that, All in all, very happy with Tanzer. Would recommend, Will probably call again for some lighting next spring.

The people who were using them were happy with service so I'm giving them a shot and their service for me was good.

I was very happy with the service, Greg himself showed up very quickly to give me a quote and explain everything that would be involved with the instaltion. He worked around my schedule & did the work on a Saturday morning, the crew was very efficient and finished the same day. the sprinkler system is working great and had no issues.

Great service, fair price. The serviceman was running late and kept us updated on his arrival which was much appreciated.

Repair man was very helpful, friendly and knowlegeable about broken fixture and repair was fast. Checked rest of sprinkler system and all was fine. We had requested that they repair bulbs but the prices quoted were very high and so we decided not to have them do the work (for which they did not have the bulbs anyway). Tanzer simply put blue flags next to lights that needed bulbs. For the placement of the flags we were charged $80. When we attempted to tell them that no work was done they insisted that because they had been out to do the work (in conjunction with the sprinkler work) they had to charge the fee and could not waive it. After a lot of pushing the fee was lowered by 50% but we still need to pay $42.50 for the placement of blue flags that we did not want (as it is quite easy to see where the bulbs are not working). It is safe to say that we will not be repeat customers.

It went very well and I hope to have the same service when I call in the fall.

They did an excellent job of installing and communicating with me throughout the process. The workers were efficient and respectful and the ladies in the office handled the rest of the process well. I bid this job to 4 other people and got the same system - for less $, and I didn't sacrifice service or quality. I recommend them highly.

We interviewed three perspective contractors for lawn sprinklers and received three estimates. Greg Tanzer entire operation was a notch above the rest. We were delighted to select his company to install the sprinklers. We would not hesitate to recommend his company to anyone

My call was answered promptly and an appointment was scheduled. I have dogs with access to the yard so I asked if they would call me a half hour before arriving.Mike called on his way at which point a lightning storm was occurring so we rescheduled, which went very smoothly and he came shortly thereafter. Mike took his time reviewing my system and answering many of my concerns about placement of sprinklers. He also was very informative about my options. He set the system up and everything seemed to be working smoothly but I had some trouble with the sprinkler box. I called and Mike returned the call and tried to walk me through things over the phone. It required him coming to the house again at which point we realized that the box broken. The entire service required three house calls, of which I was only charged for the initial one. I now have a user friendly timer box and sprinklers that are working beautifully. I will be calling them in September to do the replacement of pipes and installation of a new zone. The company is very professional and I will also be using them for some outside lighting in the future.

They did a terrific job. We were very satisfied. We were very pleased with the price. They told us what to expect and they were very upfront. There were no surprises. It was fantastic. We would absolutely use them again.

I requested sprinkler turn on service. The technician came on time and started the turn-on zone by zone. He noticed one of the sprinkler head to be broken so he replaced it with a new one. He then set the timer for 4AM. It was fairly routine at this point, he was finished then he left. I noticed that the backflow valve was leaking so I quickly called him to come back and repair the leak. However, he didn't pick up the call. The following day, the sprinkler turned on at 10AM instead of 4AM while my kids are playing in the yard. So the following business day, I called the office to report the leak and the wrong timer setup and mentioned that the technician left his shovel. The office gave me a new schedule for the technician to come back to do the leak repair, fix the timer setup and pick up his shovel. The technician came as scheduled to repair the leak, pick up his shovel and fix the timer setup. He apologized for the wrong timing and was done in 15 minutes and left. A week later, I got an invoice from Greg Tanzer charging me for the second visit. This is an overcharge and incorrect since the technician should have noticed and repaired the leak during the intiial visit. I was not told that I will be charged for the second visit when I called their office. I selected this company because of the good reviews in Angie's List, but I am beginning to question these good reviews. I am not sure if this is a ploy to miss something so they can come back for another visit and charge for the second visit. Or this is just a sloppy and lousy job by the technician, but either way, I should not have been charged for the second service call. I then called the office to question the invoice and I received a very irritated response from the billing person. One thing I know, when people are on the wrong side of things, they tend to go on the offensively first by getting irritated and agitated and raising their voice. That is what I got when I called and was essentially told, there is nothing I can do about it, I just have to pay. It cost nothing, but I should have just kept their shovel instead of returning it to them. Beware of this company because they do not care about their customer, As a new customer, they much rather ask me to pay for the second service call which they should not have than to keep me as a customer for the long haul. As the technician told me, we have thousands of customers. Do you think they care about you? For some puny turn-on and winterization service?

We were putting in a patio that would have covered some of the in ground sprinklers. We were not sure rather to take them out before they actually did the work. They came out, and explained to me what had to be done. They checked out where the sprinklers were at, and marked them. They were very nice about it. I have a contract with them. By pre paying in advance I get one free visit with them.

I've used them before. They are excellent. I will absolutely use them again.

I called Greg Tanzer and the soonest they were able to make to my place was in 2 weeks. They gave me a 3 hour window when they would arrive, and did come ontime. The work was done within a half an hour and was done efficiently. I had a pleasant time dealing with the service person.

the receptionist was very responsive during scheduling and when i called to ask a few questions (a lot of other places are not responsive). they showed up on time and completed the requested service. the only thing they weren't clear about was that tax was not included in the quote. i had left a check at the house since i wasn't home, and the check amount ended up being $10 short.

OK but master valve installed was noisy and has now broken down. Firm is coming this Monday to check the problem.

Good experience, and I will use them again, and also explore their other services.

He was very good. We probably will use them; but we have been impressed so far. It was a free estimate. He struck me as very honest, very straightforward, very clear regarding the cost involved, no surprises, and is available to do the work quickly, which is nice. I like that the owner himself comes and give the estimate. He explained everything in detail, and answered all our questions thoroughly. I never felt like he was trying to make sales.

The tech was here on time, he made recommendations on how to change the set up of the programming that were good, over all things went well. Obviously I was satisfied enough to use them a second time, and I'll call them again in a few short weeks to shut the system down again for the winter.

They showed up when they were supposed to and they did the work. The quality was fine.

I have almost 3 1/4 of the land on the corner. Mr. Tanzer himself came out and gave estimate and let me know what they had to so. Measured property and set up one system. He gave me a 5 year guarantee on the head. A lifetime warranty on the system if I get in winterized. It worked exactly like he said it would. Mr.Tanzer is a member of the Irrigation Association and has a certificate of Public Works.

It was outstanding work from beginning to end.

We had some landscaping done that required a rework of our irrigation system. Greg helped us find the best solution for our budget and to meet our needs. The whole process was very easy and the staff was great. We have used Greg Tanzer Sprinklers for other jobs in the past and they have always been great.

We have an existing lawn irrigation system Greg installed 3 years ago. We needed to get some additional lines put in and had him come for an estimate. He arrived 1 hour late. He didn't call to say he would be late. When he arrived he said he was at another clients and ending up chatting for a while. He looked at what we needed and within 2 days sent me the estimate. I booked the job and was all set. The day of the scheduled work they called to say they needed to reschedule. So that was a wasted day taken off of work. On the day of the rescheduled job, they arrived over 2 hours late - with no phone call to say they would be late. I had to call the office as well as Greg himself to finally get someone to call me back. There was no apology, just "we'll be there in 30 minutes." I am done with this company and will never use them again. While the work is good, I need a company that values my time and my business.
