Description of Work: The cleaned my stairs and my carpet. I felt they were a little pricey.

Description of Work: A local Stanley Steamer in Edison NJ was hired to clean about 175 square yards of the best quality off white dense high pile carpet that was very dirty. This carpet sold for approximately $80 a yard in 1984. We paid extra for the most expensive cleaning treatment. Admittedly this was a very difficult assignment. Results were disappointingly mediocre. Subsequently I purchased a new model Bissell upright shampooer which really dug into the pile with long stiff bristle brushes, something Stanley Steemer's equipment didn't do. As a result an enormous amount of dirt was removed leaving the carpet much cleaner. Repeated applications got most of the carpet remarkably clean although there are some spots that were not removed and one section in a bedroom had to be replaced with left over original carpet by a carpet repair contractor. Conclusion, use the best Bissell machine and you will get as good or better results at much lower cost if you do the work yourself.

Description of Work: - I made app't online, received confirmation - when serviceman came, he told me that he didn't know it was an apt.(I gave apt.# when app't was made). - he said he could not do the job because he needed portable equipment which he didn't have on truck - said he could come tomorrow, but that wasn't convenient for me. - took me hours to move everything out of the way. - he told me that it would cost me more when I do have them come back. - the company had me living in concordia, but this is not true.
