Great work and likes perfection

After purchasing a new home, we called Jack to change the locks. We also had the front door unit and doorknob to the garage replaced for aesthetic purposes. He gave us his professional opinion on how to increase security on a sliding door that locked only from the inside. He did everything that needed to be done, and nothing that didn't. He is friendly, efficient, and professional. We would definitely use him again in the future and refer him to friends and family.

Jack was fantastic! My front-door lock was sticking and needed to be replaced, pronto; I could get by one day more with it but ideally I needed it done the next day @ 7am, and Jack was happy to accommodate me. I had told Jack since I had two locks on the front door that used only one key, I suggested that we may as replace both. He said he would bring two different types of locks with him to see what would be best fit for the door. He saw right away that my top lock worked by leaving key in the door, and since there is a glass panel right next to the door, he pointed out how easily someone could smash through the glass and just grab the key. (I know, I know - I should have realized it eons ago.) Jack arrived promptly at 7am and since I hadn't requested an estimate over the phone, he gave me one immediately. To be fair, I didn't give Jack a chance to give me an estimate over the phone so kudos to him for doing that first thing when he arrived. After I picked one model, he started to replace both locks and showed me that the plates on the opposite side were no longer long enough to cover the drilled area on which the plates rested. The wood there had weathered away and needed longer plates. He said I could do without but would most likely require replacement at some point. I decided to do it right then and there. Jack works very quickly and efficiently, and produces QUALITY work. He is extremely personable, and cleaned up the entire work area (in the past I've had to clean up after workmen, so this was a big plus in my book). I would hire him again in a heartbeat - he did an excellent job!

Jack was excellent to deal with and did a great job. He arrived before the scheduled time and took around two hours to finish the things we required. He walked around with me after he was done to show me that everything was working and left the old locks/keys for me after the job was done. I would not hesitate to recommend Jack to anyone who needed any services he provides and if we ever need anything else along these lines I would definitely call Jack again.

Jack's Locksmith came out on Friday 3/2 to look at the job and after realizing we wanted more than initially told, agreed to come back on Saturday morning. Jack was professional and had the job completed within 1 hour for the original price agreed upon. He did a great job!!!

I reached Jack on my first attempt to contact him, and we discussed the job. I asked for a ball park estimate based on my description of the job, and he was able to give me a quote over the phone. Based on that, I set up an appointment (within the same week - it was not an emergency) and he was flexible and easy to work with. When he arrived (on time) he introduced himself, and I didn't even need to ask him to remove his shoes in our home. After I showed him the different locks we spoke about over the phone, he assessed the locks & doors, and gave his professional opinion making several recommendations that saved us time and money. The work required drilling into the doors, and Jack took care of all cleanup. I thought the true test would be the patio sliding door. Jack took a look at the lock, grabbed a screw driver, had it apart in no time at all, assessed the damage and explained how it needed to be fixed. There was a chance that it would break in the process, which he told me, but he had a back-up plan, which he shared, in the event that it did break. It didn't, and he was able to fix the existing lock and replace it. Because he made several recommendations to save money, the job came in under his estimated cost. He wrote a receipt for his work, and tendering payment (using a credit card) was a snap. He even extended an Angie's List member discount! In my experience, Jack was professional, knowledgeable, efficient and friendly. He was respectful of our home, my time and budget. Should I require this type of service in the future, I will definitely contact Jack again.

Very well. I called and he was able to come out that day and fix our locks and doorknob. He was incredibly professional and the job was done very well. We were quite pleased.

Service was excellent. Door lock was replaced quickly and efficiently with a lock brought in truck. New lock was adjusted to fit old key. Door knobs and spindle had to be ordered, but were installed in several days at a time that was convenient for me. In addition to repairs useful advice was provided on how to prevent cold air from entering the house through gaps between the old door and frame.

We were completely satisfied with the service provided.

Jack was friendly and helpful. He was able to replace all the locks with the same key, as well as fix the door. He also gave some other useful advice for a new homeowner, such as some ideas for our doors that stick. He did a great job. I marked him 'B' for punctuality only because he was supposed to come the day before and his other job went long, so he rescheduled for the next morning. He kept in good contact and let me know, and it wasn't an emergency so it was no big deal.

He came right away and he was great to work with.

Came in and gave exact estimate based on 2 ways to go with lock attachments with door knobs. Agreed to price - set date. Came exactly on time. Let me watch him working to replace old damaged locks. Made sure locks worked well and made multiple keys for the locks. Price was exactly what was said - paid in full. Would easily recommend - friendly and very thorough

Jack showed up on time in his company van. When he came up to the door we talked about the break down of the price he quoted me on the phone ($100.00). I thought it was fair so he proceeded with the job. As he's taking off the old locks we start talking about the towns where we live and it ends up that Jack is actually from Spain which is where I'm from. The actual removal of the locks and replacement took no more than 5 minutes however our shooting the breeze took a good half hour to 45 minutes, but it was great. Jack (aka Joaquin) is a great guy and professional I highly recommend hime to anyone who is looking for a locksmiths. After all is said and done he only charged me $80 for the service. You can't beat that!

Jack was great. He was professional, courteous, punctual, and he did an excellent job. His fee was very reasonable. I would highly recommend him and will definitely use him for all my locksmithing needs.

I called late afternoon on a Friday. Jack said he could come Saturday morning, or for $10 more, right now. I requested he come now, and he was here in about an hour. The work was done quickly, and professionally. The $100 charge was after the 10% Angie's list discount.

Jack was extremely easy to reach, called my son right away to set up a convenient time for him to go and fix the tumblers on the steering column so the key would work. Jack showed up when he was supposed to and sounded very knowledgeable and professional. He responded immediately and helped my son right away.

It went very well. I really enjoyed working with him, and he did a great job.

I first contacted him from Angie's List to fix the front door lock at my parent's home. I had never met him. I told him what was needed, gave him the address and he changed the lock. I paid by credit card over the phone. This was so convenient; it meant not having to miss work. The second service was to fix the lock and handle on a french door. The handle had not worked all winter. He also changed the lock so that one key could be used to open all the doors in my home. Jack is professional and personable. He works around your schedule and is up front about the cost of a project. He will be our locksmith forever!

Jack was fantastic! I needed to change the door lock and the new locks are larger, so the hole had to be drilled and I really did not want to wreck my door. I called a 1-800 number the day before and had to throw the guy out of my house after he could not even get the hold lock back in the door! Jack was here the next morning on time and gave me options to re-key or repair. He also fixed another issue with the door. I would use him for any locksmith service I need in the future!

Jack was a pleasure to work with. He talked me out of a more expensive lock that was not necessary for our house. He was pleasant and professional. We will use him again for any issue requiring a locksmith.

I recently purchased an old two-family home and needed to have the locks of one unit re-keyed so that my other tenants could still use their existing keys for both their unit as well as the re-keyed exterior locks--including a totally new door. I didn't even know how to explain what I needed, but Jack gave me exactly what I needed and did it for a very fair price. He was totally punctual and I would definitely use him again, which is why I saved his number in my phone!

The deadbolt on my front door had been 'sticky' since I installed it, but this morning it clearly failed entirely in the locked position. I could turn the bar, but nothing happened. I found Jack's Locksmith on Angie's list and called him at 8:00am, and left a message. He called me back in 5 minutes and I explained the story. I told him I had a meeting and needed to be on the road by 9:30, and he said he could make that happen. He discussed what he thought would be needed, pricing and options. He showed up in 30 minutes, opened the broken deadbolt lock, and saw my problem was the holes in the door were too tight for the existing lock sets. He offered me my choice of replacing one or both, drilled the doors, replaced both locks, and made me extra keys. Jack was professional, friendly, knowledgeable and punctual. He got there quickly, did the job fast and well, and got me to work on time. I got the results of an 'emergency' locksmith at a fraction of the price. If you need a locksmith, I highly recommend his services!

The job went well. I called Jack's Locksmith early in the afternoon, and he was at my home in about 2 hours. Initially, I was just going to get an estimate on putting a lock on my wooden file cabinet, because I wasn't sure if the locks on my front door had to be totally replaced, and what the job entailed. Jack told me what needed to be done each step of the way. The total cost to rekey the door lock was very reasonable. Therefore, I decided to also get a lock for the file cabinet. Jack was prepared, professional, and cleaned up after the job was completed.
