Description of Work: We thought that we might have to replace our front steps, but the owner of the company told us that "it wasn't as bad as it looked." His men came on time and performed the work in a timely manner. They were able to replace the steps without removing the railings.

Description of Work: Westview was great! Quick, clean, polite, responsive. From the day I called (just leave a message, someone gets back to you same day), I had Gerry come by that same evening to give me an estimate. A few days later, John came by with Gerry to see the job, and let me know timing, as well as collect the contract and deposit. John also offered to disconnect an old pump that was hooked up to the sewer line while he was doing the job, which is great, because that isn't allowed and could have caused problems in my future with my town. |John and his crew arrived shortly after I left for work on Tuesday morning, and completed the job before I even got home. The new pump is hooked up and seems to be working great as the persistent dampness and seepage that was always in the basement is gone. I didn't even see them they knocked the job out so quickly, and I have a large ranch house basement. Even my contractor who is doing extensive renovations on my home requested their contact information because he was impressed with how quick, clean, and efficient they were at getting the job done. I would recommend them to anyone.

Description of Work: We got an estimate from Westview Masons and Basement Waterproofing when we had water accumulating in our basement and did not know the source. They recommended french drains and a sump pump, for which their pricing seemed fine, however, we felt uncomfortable with the fact that they could not tell us where the water was coming from. It turned out to be a broken water heater, which thankfully we decided to get looked at before committing to digging up our previously perfectly dry basement. While I don't expect masons to be plumbing experts, I feel they should at least be able to at least suggest we look at other possible causes before trying to sell us work we don't need.
