They were easy enough to schedule, and I felt the price was fair for all the work they have done.

OK....it was a bit difficult to get them there at the same time as another contractor. Quality was great, price a tad high

Tech completed work within 30 minutes, installed new thermostat and resolved issue. This was covered under a service contract

I had the same issue at night some days earlier and it was successfully restarted. The second call was on a weekend morning, and the technician correctly identified the problem. He replaced The broken part. It has been working well since.

Service performed was fine. Price charged for propane was far above market. I suspect due to only having to top off the tanks.

On the day of the problem was identified, called Region and a tech was scheduled immediately and was at the home same day, and on time. Assessed the problem, made a repair to get the heat going, and followed up three days to review the situation and make any other repairs. None were needed. Excellent service.

Went well and everything on time. Replaced necessary parts needed.

On August 25, 2015, during a pre-season tune-up, their service person replaced the ignition (repair code 9226). Evidently, the part was defective so my heat failed to come on when needed most, before the blizzard of January 23, 2016. When I called on the 21st to inform Region Oil I had no heat, the customer representative stated that it didn?t matter to her that I just had my ignition replaced that she would only enter a service call after she informed me that it would be an extra charge for service because I did not have a service agreement. I did not agree to the charge, I simply stated I had no heat and that she needed to schedule the service call. When the service-person arrived, he found the heat failed to come on because of the defective ignition part that the previous service-person installed. Since he arrived after business hours, he was unable to call the office and get permission not to bill for a new part. He did, however, indicate on his invoice that the office was to look at the service record for 8/25. Aware that the fault was the responsibility of the company due to a faulty part, he wrote only $273 on my invoice, which was the cost of the replacement ignition. However, on January 21, 2016, I received a bill in the amount of $312.00 based on the invoice he wrote for $273. Amended review: This matter was resolved to my satisfaction on February 5, 2016 after I received a personal letter from Katie Ulmann acknowledging all my concerns regarding the handling of my account and the appropriate credit issued.

That was fine. They performed the services yesterday. It was free as part of a service contract. I like that they are reliable.

I have always been very pleased. The price is part of my annual contract. The price of the piece they had to replace was part of my contract. The price was average. The customer service was always very helpful when I called. More particularly, when I had a problem, no matter what time it was, they came out.

They were okay. I've used them for forever. They're consistent. They're a reasonable supplier of fuel oil. They're not outstanding and they don't offer any particular special service. They don't go out of their way to go above and beyond. They're decent.

There was no issue with that. It was fine. The propane services were satisfactory. It took a little bit of work here and there. They were a little understaffed in the propane area but it was a summertime so we understood that. It's my pool heater that they have propane for. All in all, it worked out well. Craftsmanship was done well. They were knowledgeable people. I needed a cleaning of the heating elements in my propane heater and they did that adequately too. It was good. The service for cleaning was about $260 and they had to come in and repipe because the pipe had broken. That was another $400. The propane was higher because it's recreational propane and not cooking propane. Overall, I'm not crazy about the fact that I got to pay more for recreational propane than I do for cooking which I don't cook with. It's a non regulated utility. They purchased a local oil and this is a bigger conglomerate. They offer security services, oil services and propane services. Overall, they're pretty good. Their oil service is topnotch. Their service manner is great. They're knowledgeable. I'm on automatic delivery and I'm on a budget with them. My payments are over 12 months.

They are very responsive. Overall, we’ve been very pleased with them.

They were alright. For the last 10 years, they have been out a couple of dozen times. The cost is very good. It's cost that keeps me with them. They're a good priced solid B from delivery and extrication meeting. I don't even think they offer the package that I have anymore because it is really quite a bit of service coverage for very little annual fee.

I've been a heating oil customer of Region Oil for three years and have paid them more than $8000 during that time for heating oil. I recently became aware that natural gas service is now available in my area so I called to inquire what would need to be done should I decide to make a switch to gas an the representative told me that they offered installation services for gas boilers. I asked to have someone come provide me with a quote for the work. I was visited twice by region oil reps but after six weeks they were not able to provide a quote and constantly gave me a "we'll mail the quote tomorrow" line. I also got a call stating they were stopping my oil deliveries even though I has specifically stated I was still using oil and had ONLY been making an inquiry. I had also asked that they forget about giving me a gas conversion quote since regardless of my decision I will not give my business to a company that can't respond in a timely fashion with a proposal. I received my next monthly oil bill and paid it, and the payment was processed...YET I STILL HAVE NO OIL! A less than helpful call to Dennis in customer service informed me that my account was stopped even though I'm still paying my contract. It's ridiculous that they took my money and still have not delivered oil and have seemed to be putting up a fight about fulfilling my contract. I simply have never seen a company so reluctant to accept a customers business. If I wasn't convinced before that I need to switch to natural gas, I certainly am now. Moral of this story: if you are a Region Oil customer contemplating a gas conversion don't contact customer service until you are ready to cancel your account completely.

Not the experience I expected for the money being spent, or would recommend to anyone. Install was sub-contracted and installer did not own a watch or a phone. Appointments missed by hours, materials were not readily available and they had to make several trips to finish the work causing me to remain home for an additional day or more. This job, had it been properly planned, equipped and professionally installed should have been finished in less than one day. During the install Region Oil was not very responsive and seemed to have no idea what the contractor was doing or where they were or when then would arrive. No way to contact them? A very ridiculous and frustrating experience. After the install, the unit required three additional service visits within a period of two weeks. One to replace the outside AC disconnect because the contractor, who blamed Region Oil, could not find the appropriate unit. I could have gone to Home Depot and gotten it. Then they sent a person to instal the AC disconnect that was in my contract and he damaged the thermostat control wires and "didn't" have a clue as to why the compressor would not come on. Region Oil then sent one of their own technicians who after two hours couldn't find the issue either. I came home form work and the tech was still diagnosing the problem when I walked outside, looked that the thermostat wires and had to show him where the problem was. To this day the wires are still spliced and taped even though the tech acknowledged that the wires should have been replaced and spliced inside the home. A week later, during the hottest days of the summer, the unit stopped working. Again, Region sent one of their own technicians. The first technician arrived asking me if my hot water was not working and, after thinking I was on Mars, explained that it was an AC problem. Finally another technician arrived, next day no less, who then spent quite some time trying to understand why the drip pan under the air handler had filled with water and tripped the disconnect. I have to say that he was pretty thorough and took quite some time to drain the pan, evaluate the system and restore my service though he could not say why this happened. This makes me very nervous of having further problems because now that the weather has cooled down I have no way to know for sure if a real problem remains. So during all these failed service episodes I let Region Oil know of my dissatisfaction and had threatened to withhold payment because of the poor service, and my doubt that the system was properly installed. I finally got a bit of attention, or so I thought, when they sent the "supervisor "out to look at the install. Problem was he didn't look at the install, didn't go into the attic or nothing - that was a waste of time. So I proceeded to seek manger and owner level contacts but Region Oil made it very difficult. To this day I am reluctant to think that I have an AC system worth the money that I had paid. Beware...the sales person was very good and very responsive and thorough, probably the only reason I went with them. I even complained to Bryant but to this day have never gotten a response.

They were professional and came back with different options. They also supply the propane. It's a combination of the person who's doing it and installs the propane tanks, the generators, the electrical work then supplies us with the propane oil and it's the same person. So it's a good idea for us.

I have a furnace installed in the crawl space under my house that is not at all easy. It is a two man job. It is very difficult because they are laying on their backs and sides all the time in a dirt crawl space. They always install the stuff well and they do it quickly. They are very responsive and friendly. they let me pay my furnace over 6 months and then because of the hurricane I had to put up large sums of money to get trees off my house and things like that. They were willing to wait and were very understanding that I had to pay cash for all that work and for the electrical and all that stuff. I went back to them on the price and I said can you lower the price at all and they did lower the price actually.

Need an oil dely within 2 days after coming back from a trip. Region was fast, reasonable and had good cust service. After the dely the furnace was off and service came within 3 hours.

They do a very good job and kept my place very clean. I found them to be above and beyond the competiton in the area.

We have been with Regionoil for several years and serice has been spotty at best. The annual cleaning is included in the service contract. The technicians are top of the line. They perfom the service and do what is necessary and that's about it. My opil tank is old and occaitonally experiences gumming of the fuel line. They recently (June) responded to a faulty furnace call and replace the oil filter with a smaller one in spite of the fact the earlier technician used a larger one specifically to catch any oil problems. Now its on me to call after 3 months to get the unit serviced after a recent cold spell after summer. Their prices are not the best Overall is a hit or miss operation Jim Gall - Dover

During the 1990's and early 2000's we were a consumer of one of the smaller fuel oil suppliers that Regional Oil Company brought up. Since that has happened we noticed a significant drop in service and higher prices. Their phone system is a maize that you constantly get transferred to the wrong person, department or just plain rude. Their fuel oil is constantly over priced compared to other suppliers. They justify the high price based on yearly service contract, which is an additional charge, and their on call service in case of emergency heating outage. We had experience with their emergency service when we had three times where the furnace stopped working during extreme cold weather. The furnace stopped working due to gelling of the fuel oil. All three times it was caused by their failure to add antifreeze to the oil. All 3 times it took them over 24 hours to respond. Once it resulted in pipes freezing and water damage. They did not stand behind their service contract nor did they repair the damage caused by water leaks caused by frozen pipes. It took many months of calling to get them to respond in any way. Their own advice was to sue them. I have dropped them as a supplier and would not recommend them to anyone.
