Horrible company. They have created an "oil season" which means they deliver multiple times when no oil is needed, ensuring that they get top dollar. I do not need multiple deliveries in March before the cost of oil goes down for the summer. Their reasoning is because I do not use oil for my hot water heater, they have to top off the tank within their "season" What BS. Run away from this company, they are nothing but scumbags.

I do not know where to start with this letter HOWEVER my family and I are very disgusted and upset with the service and treatment that we have received from Region Energy. Starting off My husband and I have requested in numerous occasions to speak with the overall Manager of region, Doug I think his name is, and have not received one yet. We have been pawned off to the sales manager or another tech/service worker, so right there clearly the main owner/manager wants nothing to do nor cares about the customers. All it is, is taking peoples money and not giving a d*** about in the in between or issues. In the tab on Regions website under "About Region" it says that "Region has been in business for the last 70years We pride ourselves in being local leaders in our industry, with professional services that are all designed with you in mind. It is this, and our local, home town community spirit, that other oil companies have difficulty matching. Thats what makes us the first choice for all of your home comfort needs" That statement is complete non-sense. Region does not care about its customers nor keeping any customer in mind. Once they receive your money they dont want to be bothered with the issues that come along with it. Starting September of 2022 we received a visit from the Salesman, Chris, because we were wanting to convert FROM oil TO as and when he was here we did not feel a good vibe from him. We felt he came off extremely condescending and rude and made us out to feel like we were incompliant and stupid. He did his assessment in the basement and the outer perimeter of the house with the gas line and according to him all the ducks were in a row regarding the installation process and etc. The contract was drawn up and we decided we were gonna with Region because they have been our oil company since we moved in our home for last 5 years and etc. Called numerous times the installation department to get everything set up for the installation and this was a process for over a month and was told it was a permit issue. I was told by the installation department, Tracy, if I could down to the town to nudge the town permit department to hurry on the permits. I had recently a few weeks prior had a major surgery and I was trying to understand and figure out why, the customer, being asked buy her, Tracy, to do her/their job for them. So the first time I went down there permits was closed for a few days and got into contact with Tracy at region and she stated well were gonna have to cancel the install because we cannot do it without the permits. Dont understand why she was not on top of and me being the customer getting a phone call a day or 2 before that the job cannot be done cause they dont have the permits and are unorganized and make the customer who is home bound at the time go do their job and find out what was going on. So the following week, AGAIN we had to go down to the town permit department paid the $600 dollars for the permits and left with them. The installation was then rescheduled AGAIN. Once the day finally came for the installation, the installers preceded to say "Oh we can start or do anything because the outside gas meter is locked and we cannot access it so we need to come back". I cried so hard and I said what do you mean and they said" the sales man who was here, said he looked at it and it was good to go and there was no lock on the meter and here I have the installers say, nope there is definently locked and we cannot proceed. Then I had to call the gas company and had to wait till they had an opening for them to come unlock the meter so Region can come back AGAIN to do the install. The gentleman come back and as they were bringing the entire furnace down the stairs they dropped the unit hard down 2 steps and dented the unit and actually dented my concrete floor. Called region and they discounted $ 300 off the price after weeks of calling and trying to get someone to call me back thats what was done. My main concern is we have a baby in the house and because of someones irresponsibility, that drop of the unit how do I know that something inside the furnace didnt get shifted or even damaged and what if something did shift and cause and started a fire and something happens to us while we were sleeping. Like my point again Region is not and has NOT thought about that and just shuts up their customers by the bare minimal. $300 off is not going to save nor stop a fire or gas leak or god for bid anything else happens with a damaged furnace. Our stove was also supposed to get converted over and the pipe work was never finished so someone had to come and do that. THEN once that was completed it took another 2 months for the install department to have someone come in for the stove because the first guy said you need the conversion kit for it, and I said that was never told to us and he had found the installation orphices on the back of the stove HOWEVER there was 2 orphices that were missing so I contacted GE appliances and had them delivery 4 brand new orphices. Once I got those delivered ( which was about December, so here we are the start of the process from September 28th to now it being end of December and the job is still incomplete and in our contract it was estimated install finish date of November) I had tried for weeks to get installation department to get someone over to the house and always told that someone was gonna get back to her and constant thing and when I did speak to someone they stated to me why I didnt call sooner and I said that i have made several attempts for a month and a half at that point only to come to find out that the gentleman that came to finsih the stove stated it couldnt be done because the entire oven need to be converted not just the stove top orphices. I literally was appauled at that point. So we bought a completly brand new stove and called AGAIN for someone to come in and install it and was told "well we do not have an appliance department to actually do the instal". I was livid. So at this point it is now February/March, complete install was supposed to be end of November and here we are almost 4 months later not completed so once agaon WE the customers had to put in our own stove and hook up. THEN id say since February we have been calling because we didnt have heat TWICE throughout the winter because some thermostat or heater valve went TWIVE on a brand new furnace. THEN we have had to call an uncountable amount of times for them to come because we have constantly NO HOT WATER. Apparently according to the techs, the safety switch keeps tripping becauyse of the lack of air flow in the chimney. We had a brand new chimney liner replaced not even a year and a half ago and they stated to us to call the chimney company to come out and take a look and that there is some sort of air flow problem. The chimney company came out and they stated there is nothing wrong with the liner and to call region back and there is some sort of substance coming out from the furnace also they need to take a look at. So AGAIN region came back and they stated they need to put in another type of ventilation system for the furnace cause there is not enough flow and the furnace system keeping tripping. After while I feel like internally in the furnace what if something shorts out a fire breaks out while were sleeping or god for bid when we are not home and something happens to one of us or our small child........ then what???? all these issues that we have been having and we have literally had NOTHING but problems since the start last fall. When is enough, enough???? We are NOT receiving calls back from management of Region and NOT the sales manager the actual owner/ manager of region. We have no idea of what to do anymore about this and are at a loss. My husband called last week because ONCE AGIN the switch tripped and NO HOT water again and here we are coming up to the fall in the coming months and this is gonna continue with now having no heat every few days??? This is getting ridiculous and my husband stated he wanted management to call him back and here we are a week later and NOTHING and out switch has tripped twice since then. At this point he stated we need to get our attorney involved because this is uncalled for and ridiculous. Region energy does NOT care about the community OR its customers just money money money and trust me I get it, its a business but this is incompetent, selfish, neglectful people/business who do NOT give a d*** about anything. We are fed up and need something done. Please contact us if this isnt deleted by someone.

The furnace appears to be working fine, we do have some issues thatwe never had before. Our problem with Region is their customer service. The wrong pump was delivered and it took two months before they installed the correct one, this after many calls some of which we had to wait 30 plus minutes before we spoke to someone and then were put on hold and were disconnected. Our service rep never responded to calls, very frustrating to deal with.

We are on automatic delivery, and were told a delivery was scheduled but missed. We then ran out of propane, therefore had no hot water. It took over 3 days and phone calls to get someone out to fill propane. Since it was very late at night and there are 2 elderly ill women in the home, they did not feel comfortable letting him in to check pilot light, so we still didn’t have hot water. We then had to call a private plumber to get pilot light lit and hot water again! A very long process and upsetting for the elderly residents with no hot water for many days!

it took over 7 visits to finally get heat into all parts of the house -techs not knowledgeable enough - they also pulled my credit without my permission which stays as a hard pull for over 2 years (all for a job I would have given cash or a check for if I knew that they pull credit for something so inconsequential.
