Description of Work: I first dealt with First Class Electric as part of Angie's List Whole House Electrical Inspection Promo, and decided to hire the company to replace a bad meter pan in April 2015. I thought the price quoted was very expensive, even for electrical work, but I was in a bind and needed the meter pan fixed as soon as possible. Despite my surprise & dissatisfaction with the cost to provide service, I felt that First Class Electric did good work and had great, absolutely outstanding customer service and allowed me to pay off my balance due in multiple installments. I thought that was awesome.

Description of Work: tech surveyed all the objects and locations before starting, so i felt confident at that time. tech explained why he couldn't hang ceiling fan i appreciated that. then i had him replace two wall sconces with newer LED sconces. one of the ones he replaced he did not connect to a switch or pull chain so now it cant turn off. I would have expected him to connect it to the switch that is already there on same interior wall or tell me another option like a sensor light but he just put it there without a word.( i only noticed next morning when i was leaving to work and couldn't turn this light off; its been on ever since *sigh ) i had my kitchen recess lights on the list . i have 8 lights but 2 of them stopped working a few months ago so he trouble shooted the problem by taking apart the dimmer switch and pulling cabs out to locate that the neutral was the problem. the neutral had shifted; it took him extra time to put cabs back in ceiling and attach cover switch and sweep up the debris (but i appreciated him doing so ) but then he said he would need to charge me because he went over , i did not appreciate that and i said no.

I am very sorry that there were some issues with the deal that you purchased. We appreciate all feedback and use it as the best tool for us to better our business. When running the 2 hour labor deal our intentions are to do as much done as possible in the best professional way for 2 hours of our technicians time, and I am sorry to hear that you did not get the value that you were looking for when you purchased the deal. I completely understand your situation and how difficult and expensive it may be to deal with old wiring many times done not by a unlicensed electrician and that you are doing your best to start fixing the issues by using the 2 hour labor deal. Unfortunately, the scope of work that was required in this case was outside of the 2 hours that were purchased and we are very willing to try and come to a reasonable solution to this that will benefit both parties. We try to make sure that the proper expectations are set before we come to provide service. We also tried to get the most value for the money that was spent on the deal purchase by waving the would be additional charges that would have been incurred by the additional work we put into this job as a courtesy. I have reached out multiple times to see if we can do anything to help you out, because we would like to reach a mutual understanding and leave you with a good feeling about our business.
