"Not well. In general, the painting was sloppy. Globs of paint were found around the trim work. Spackle was not sanded full smooth and then painted over, leaving the walls not looking smooth. Paint was splash on the cabinets, door handles and hardware, and floors. They left debris in every room that they worked in that we had to clean. They also put chalk between the ceiling and cabinets in the kitchen when it wasn't asked for and when it looked terrible, the owner removed it and scraped the ceiling significantly, then had to be asked to fix his mess. In the end, that area looked worse than it did before the job. This is not a company that respects your house and puts care into their work to make your house better."

"Estimator quoted 2 days labor and $1700. They spent 3.5 hours altogether and did the worst painting job I've ever seen done by a professional painter. When I called the estimator to recalculate the bill they said NO. You wanted painting, you got painting. No sanding, no spackling, no nothing. If a dead cat had been laying on the floor they would have painted right over it. But it was painted. The recoat time for the paint they used was 4 hours, so they could not possibly have done the job correctly to start with. The estimate was based on labor time which was quoted at 2 days. They worked less than one quarter of that time. But still charged the entire amount. All in all, a crap job and an expensive lesson."

"I’ve been a customer of Wilber’s for several years. Up till now I’ve always found them to be reasonable in price, professional, reliable and trustworthy. I don’t know what’s happened but, they are no longer the company they used to be. I recently hired Wilbers to repair a loose newel post at the bottom of my stairs. When Danny the estimator came he explained that it might be an easy fix or more involved if they needed to install a new 4X4 interior post. Though I requested that he provide estimates for both scenarios he only sent the estimate for the worst case scenario. I let that go because I trusted that they would do the right thing should it prove to be an easy fix. When they arrived it turned out that all that was needed was to replace the wooden board in the basement with a 2 ft. 2x4 and tighten the bolt that runs inside the post. The workers were here for 1 hour and for this Wilber’s decided that a fair price was $820. It seemed absolutely outrageous to me that they would charge me $820 to tighten a bolt so I tried reaching out to Wilber 3 times and asked that he call me back to discuss. Well he never called me back. I can only assume that he knows full well that he did is wrong and is unable to justify his outrageous pricing. It’s sad that Wilber thinks this is how you should treat a loyal customer and it’s certainly disappointing to discover what an unprofessional and unethical person he is. I certainly will never utilize the services of Wilbers ever again and I would caution anyone thinking of hiring them to think twice. Wilber is a man that lacks integrity and therefore someone you cannot trust to do business with."
