Perfect. This is the third time we've used Joe to remodel our home. He's previously done our master bath, hall bath and powder room. All of the jobs turned out beautiful Joe is professional, attentive, available and very helpful all aspects of the job. He goes above and beyond to make sure everything is exactly the way you want it down to the last detail. I would never use anyone else!

It was a great experience working with Joe and his crew at Creative Remodeling & Design. I had a full bathroom demoed and remodeled. There were many ADA concerns with this project which was tricky given the relatively small size of the room. Joe worked closely with me throughout the entire process from design, planning, purchasing materials and construction. Joe had many creative ideas to accommodate all my ADA needs and the end result was above and beyond my expectations. He and his crew managed to transform this into a beautiful, modern and functional bathroom that when looking at it you would never know it was designed to be wheelchair accessible. Joe was upfront and honest about everything including cost, timeline, limitations, etc. He was in constant communication throughout the project and always made himself available for any questions I had. His crew was very friendly, always on time and cleaned up at the end of each day. I would and have recommended Creative Remodeling & Design to others.

We hired Creative Remodeling and Design to renovate our kitchen after meeting with several other contractors. We wanted more counter space and storage. Joe came up with a wonderful plan for our kitchen. He is very talented and was able to translate our ideas into my dream kitchen. Joe has a great eye for design and attention to detail. He responded quickly to all of our questions and calls. He was available to shop with us for our flooring tile, cabinets, granite countertop, backsplash, hardware, and pendant lighting. He shared his expertise with us through every step of the job. He said the job would be done in three weeks and it was. Joe's project manager and crew were also craftsmen, and took pride in their work. They accepted nothing less than the best. They arrived promptly each day and worked continuously, sometimes up to ten hours. The crew cleaned up the space every day. Joe, with his considerable knowledge of every aspect of the business, was able to help them through any rough spots. We are delighted we chose Joe Sananes as our contractor. Our kitchen is wonderful. Special touches include under cabinet and under peninsula lighting, lighting in cookbook bookcase and corner cabinet, an electrical outlet built into the granite countertop of the peninsula, many under cabinet electrical outlets, and the perfect trim to complete the backsplash The total cost for the kitchen was about $32,000, approximately evenly split between labor and materials, including cabinets, flooring, granite, hardware, lighting, sink, and new dishwasher. We look forward to working with Joe and his crew on other projects.

We inquired about kitchen cabinets and he suggested a total kitchen renovation. The first proposal included several things we did not discuss (did he even listen to us?) A follow up. After a negative review I was contacted promptly. He pleaded for me to change the review based on a "mis-understanding." I have no doubt that he can provide an good job but he certainly did not provide a good proposal in our case. We are not pleased that he tried to get us to change our review.

If you want a likable guy, easy to work with, and whose priority concern is pleasing you, then Joe is your man. Like some other contractors, Joe does not bind you to a contract listing every single item on the to-do list that, once signed, is set in stone involving charges for changes. Joe gives a you a price for his labor, tells you what's included and what may involve more cost up front and sticks to it. For me the best thing about Joe was his willingness to build the project as it progressed, making changes as necessary or to my liking without adding extra costs. You will not be "nickeled and dimed" to death as other big contractors are likely to do in those circumstances. He not only allows you the freedom of purchasing materials where you wish, but will shop with you and help you through the process by offering suggestions with his keen eye for design as well as his discount. Many of my favorite details of my design were Joe's ideas. Joe sent competent, hard working, professional workmen to do the job. All were punctual, highly skilled, and diligent, wasting no time on the job. Creative Design was a refreshing departure from contractor aggravation.

I enlisted ?Creative Remodeling and Design? to completely renovate two of my bathrooms. When looking for a company to update my bathrooms, I went through several before choosing ?Creative Remodeling and Design?. It took me many interviews to find this company because I am a stickler for details and am perfectionistic to a fault. When I met with Joe Sananes, he was very enthusiastic and he had many ideas for my projects while keeping my own taste and requirements in mind. He spent many hours with me in the selections of the fixtures and finishings and worked closely with me in the design process to ensure that the final product would be to my liking. He is an extremely talented perfectionist and is able to communicate his vision effectively. Throughout the process, the characteristic that struck me the most was his innovativeness. He came up with so many little details in my bathrooms that truly elevated the end result. Although my projects were challenging because of the space constraints and the features I wanted to incorporate, he was able to brainstorm and find a way to give me exceptional solutions that looked amazing. He was able to reconfigure some very awkward spaces in my house into two bathrooms that flowed beautifully with the rest of the house and seemed to have been there since it was first built. Across the board, whenever anyone sees my bathrooms for the first time, the first word out of their mouths is ?wow?. The transformation is nothing short of stunning. My bathrooms truly look like they belong in an upscale luxury hotel or spa. The final product exceeded my very high expectations. Most importantly, my entire experience with this company was exceptional. The communication was superb, the team was courteous and meticulous from start to finish, and any issue that came up was taken care of immediately. I absolutely will enlist this company again to do all of my future renovations and I have already recommended them, without any reservations, to many of my friends. I have had multiple projects completed in the past and this was the first time I have had absolutely no regrets regarding the work, the experience or the final product. I will be having my kitchen renovated by ?Creative Remodeling and Design? in the spring and I cannot imagine any other company I would trust. I cannot wait to write an updated review on my new kitchen in a few months as I am certain that the result will be just as excellent.

We were very satisfied with Joe's work on the remodeling work we had done on our kitchen and dining room area. We initially had planned to have this work done in the year before and had contacted Joe then, but had to delay it due to circumstances on our end, and Joe was very nice in accommodating our request to do so. Our house is an old one, more than fifty years old, and needed a lot of work done on the kitchen. We didn't know very much about how to go about an overhaul and Joe helped us step by step in thinking about what we wanted for the redesign. He had great ideas for redesign that we loved based on his wealth of experience, for example putting LED lights underneath the kitchen cabinets, which we wouldn't have thought of otherwise! Joe also was enormously helpful when we were buying the necessary materials and parts for the remodeling, even buying some of the materials for us on his discount. His expertise and eye for design was key in helping us pick out the best patterns for the marble countertop. Joe also went above and beyond in doing the remodeling work in the dining space. We noticed that he had put in new light bulbs for our kitchen lighting to accommodate the dimming feature that was installed. Joe also helped us fix the on/off switch on the water line. Joe's team did careful, clean work and was very professional. We recommend him highly!

Joe was great with our bathroom remodeling and we would absolutely recommend him! We had an old bathroom that was in need of a big overhaul and Joe helped us from the beginning with helping us design the new bathroom. Joe has a great sense for design and my wife loved the imaginative ideas he came up with for the space, including the layout of the bathroom and the tiling patterns, which were at once beautiful and still allowed us to stay within our budget. Once we had a plan, Joe was extremely helpful with getting the materials together, going with us to shop for different parts that we needed. In particular, there was a particular cabinet that we could not locate in the stores, which Joe personally picked up for us. This was tremendously helpful and much appreciated. The work that Joe and crew did was beautiful and finished very professionally. Joe's crew was very professional throughout and kept the work areas clean every day. The remodeling was finished on time and with no delays. We would highly recommend Joe and his crew!

From start to finish, it took 3-1/2 days to complete. Joe's crew were all very seasoned professionals. Joe listened to all my requirements and met each one. I say that, because I had other bidders to replace our kitchen floor. In each case, they either didn't listen or did not have the vision to do what we needed. Joe covered all surfaces that were not involved in the work, his crews worked neatly and cleaned up after themselves, and Joe ensured we were very satisfied with the work performed. As an added bonus, Joe was able to match up the molding in the kitchen to align with the family room's molding so that we now have a seamless connection between the kitchen and family room. That might appear easy to the reader, but trust us, we were looking to do that for years and none of our previous contractors could do it. We were very pleased with the outcome, would definitely recommend him to friends and family, and would call on him again, if we have similar needs. Just as aside, if you have a piano in your house, ask Joe if he wouldn't mind playing something for you.

Joe Sananes, owner of Creative Remodeling & Design, recently completed his third remodeling job for us, remodeling our third bathroom. Each of our bathrooms now has a totally different layout and decoration design, resulting in substantial differences in appearances and ambiences. In this project, as in the others, the bathroom was removed down to the wall studs. A wall was removed to enlarge the bath, and several other rearrangement modifications were accomplished. Once again, Joe took our original concept for the bath, included substantial design and remodeling enhancements and improvements, and included a number of unique touches that personalized the design into a gorgeous, customized bath. Joe has an exceptional business model that focuses on customer involvement and satisfaction in all aspects of a project, and superb communications. From our very first meeting, Joe fully engaged us in the concept and design process, identifying multiple options and opportunities for the detailed design. He carefully listened to our thoughts and preferences and then offered numerous options for enhancements and improvements. The end result was a bathroom that perfectly reflected our vision and tastes. In several cases, it even seemed like Joe knew what we wanted better than we ourselves did. Joe arrived at each and every appointment on time, was in full communication throughout all phases of the project, and stayed completely on the work schedule. Without a single exception, Joe was always available on his cell phone. His communications throughout the project were exceptional and effective. He met every commitment including follow up after project completion. Joe was on the worksite several times a day, and closely supervised all details of the project, often doing complex and challenging tasks himself. He did what he said he would do for the price he quoted, except in our case he did even more than we asked. The end result of his three separate projects for us has been three gorgeous, exceptional, fully functional bathrooms, and we are extremely pleased customers. Without reservation, I would recommend Creative Remodeling & Design to anyone. In fact, Joe is now in the early stages of planning to remodel a bathroom in our daughter?s home.

Joe is the consummate professional who I definitely would use again. At the beginning of the project, he showed us great ideas for bathrooms and helped us come up a design that fit our needs and budget. He met us at different stores to provide us with ideas for tile and fixtures and helped us purchase items that we needed for the project using his contractor discount helping us save a lot of money. He started our project ahead of time and finished everything in 2 1/2 weeks. His crew was very professional and polite and always cleaned up at the end of the day. Creative Remodeling and Design did an outstanding job. The end result exceeded our expectations - we now have the most amazing master bathroom. I HIGHLY recommend Creative Remodeling and Design. Joe (owner) was recommended to us by Ferguson Bath, Kitchen, and Lighting. Joe took the time to listen to what we wanted and then provided some great ideas (expand the shower by shrinking a closet, add a wall niche with nice lighting, etc.). A look at his completed projects will confirm that Joe has a talent for design. He then met us at various stores to pick out our products and provide very helpful advice from a construction/design perspective (e.g., the size of our rain shower based on the size of the shower, the type of tile based on the floor pattern best suited for our bathroom). I'm not used to this type of service from a contractor! We were free to shop anywhere and buy any products. Put your trust in Joe - he listens to what you want and helps you select products and stores that will come together perfectly in the end. Throughout the entire project, he always responded to our calls/texts no matter how small or big the question was. Joe's price was fair - he charges only for labor (since you buy products with his support). He's not the cheapest out there, but you get what you pay for, and in the case of Creative Remodeling and Design, you get much more than what you pay for. Our job took a little longer than expected, but Joe honored the original quote and even fixed a few related items (outside of the project) along the way for no charge. Joe also passes his contractor discount on to you at many stores. Keep in mind that you do need to pay for products he buys for you (e.g., LED bulbs, doors, etc.). The prices are actual (i.e., no markup by Joe), so make sure you budget for this. The crew was curteous, clean, and very professional. There are hundreds of opportunities to cut corners in a bathroom remodel - his crew cut no corners. They are clearly very experienced and treat the project your house as if it were their own. Joe treats his crew with respect and holds them to high standards in their workmanship and professionalism. I highly recommend Joe for any large bathroom or kitchen remodeling project. Joe has an extremely high regard for customer service which shows in his style, approach, and end result. He clearly is not happy until you are happy.

This is our second remodeling job with Creative, they did our kitchen in 2012. We can't say enough good things about Joe and his crew - super professional, and reasonable pricing. They show up on time, and get the job done. The important thing is this, if you have a problem, after everything is complete, they will be back to correct it - no questions asked.

Another gorgeous bathroom! After the magnificent remodeling that Joe (Creative Remodeling and Design) achieved last year in our water-destroyed bathroom, we asked Joe to come back and totally gut, enlarge, and remodel our master bath. We provided him with our thinking about design and colors, which he reworked into another beautiful design far superior to anything we could conceive. Joe and his crew have totally transformed our master bath. All of my previous comments (chekerz, Dec 2013) were totally reinforced and strengthened regarding Joe?s outstanding business model, the superb work of his skilled team, their focus on project excellence and customer satisfaction, the care they take of your home and property while working there, and the full commitment to your specific job until the job has been completed. But I would like to add some additional important observations. I am retired and was able to closely observe the work of Joe and his team throughout every step of this project. I was amazed how much effort they invested in the detailed preparations for the final work and installations. All work was carefully planned and prepared for. In spite of several emerging issues, they never took a shortcut or sacrificed quality. Non-vertical and warped walls, uneven floors, a slanted ceiling, wiring issues, and floor joists that blocked drain access were examples of issues that were carefully analyzed and then permanently resolved. Two large vanity cabinets were received late, each with different structural defects, and there was no time to send them back to the factory for rework. Joe resolved the problem, made modifications, and installed the cabinets in perfect condition! In fact, Joe took advantage of several emerging issues related to slanted ceilings and double walls to enhance the overall design, checking back with us continuously for our agreement. And there was not one cent of cost creep ---- none! One can instantly recognize the superior design and quality in Joe?s final product, but the quality he achieved in all of the hidden preparations to support his final installation work was even more impressive because it?s not necessarily visible on the surface of the final product, but is critical for overall long-term quality. And Joe used only the finest materials, for example: a very expensive tile grout that prevents many of the problems experienced with typical grout. In the final installations and finishings, I was impressed by the high-quality detailed installation work which included many refinements and design accents that I didn?t expect or had ever really noticed anywhere else. For examples: aligning faucet stops with the curvature of the sinks, strategic application of niche and trim inlays, totally invisible joints of access-panels to plumbing. All of these design details combined to give us a unique, personalized, custom, gorgeous bathroom. Joe completely avoided the design flaws evident in other installations which we saw in presentations we viewed in stores and on line. Joe?s detailed design and planning, and his careful monitoring throughout the project certainly paid off, confirming the high value of his skills. Given the two jobs that Joe has completed for us now, both for which I have provided reviews, I can say unequivocally that, from the moment Joe stepped in to our house and started the rip out until the final dust was wiped from the bathroom, Joe had our project?s best interest at heart and applied superb creativity, design skill, focus, and craftsmanship to complete a magnificent remodeled bathroom that, again, was way beyond our expectations. And Joe and his team were a real pleasure to work with. Needless to say, we are already making plans to bring Joe back again next year for our third project. If you think I sound excited by our new master bath, well??. I am! I would recommend Creative Remodeling and Design without hesitation.

From the estimate to the final product, Joe guided me every step of the way in the process. He even met me in stores to provide ideas on what works best for my project. He has an eye for things I didn't even consider. He is more than a contractor. He can walk into a room and immediately provide insight into what would look good. Joe is not a traditional contractor by any means. He returns calls, follows up, shows up on time, trains his workers to be considerate of your home and the people living in it. Out entire home was transformed by Joe and his team by replacing the bathroom and removing all the old clam shell style molding and replacing with current molding and six panel doors. We couldn't be happier with the results. Joe and his team aim to please and I've already recommended him to some friends looking to replace their bathrooms and for general remodeling. I would highly recommend this company for any home remodeling projects. A++

We bought a house in need of many renovations about a year ago. The first major projects we took on were simultaneously gutting and remodeling our kitchen and master bathroom. We interviewed a number of contractors before we chose Joe and his team from Creative Remodeling and Design. We chose them because they had a beautiful portfolio of work, very competitive prices and we just got a good feeling from Joe. Joe got us an estimate very quickly. Other contractors had us wait up to 30 days for estimates...Joe got his to us in just a few days. His estimate was spot on for both jobs too, except for the things we added or changed during the process. Joe runs 2 different projects at a time, so mostly you will have one of his teams in your home and Joe will come by a couple times during the day. His team members (and we have met most, if not all of them) are completely professional and very pleasant to have around. Joe and his team spent about 7-8 weeks here for these 2 projects (plus another side job...more on that later). In the kitchen, they completely gutted the room, ran new electrical, installed a new power-vent water heater in basement (to eliminate a chimney that ran through the kitchen wall), installed a new gas line for ta gas stove (formerly electric), repurposed the existing stove's electric line for an under-the-counter oven, moved a doorway on a load bearing wall, installed new hood vent which involved a new chimney run up through the roof of a multi-level home, installed new subfloor, new tile, cabinets, porcelain tile floor, travertine tile backsplash, under cabinet lighting, LED lights in ceiling, etc. In the master bath, they gutted the room and hung mold resistant drywall, put in membrane for shower, enlarged the shower area and created a custom shower enclosure, installed new vanity and linen cabinet, new toilet and sink, new shower fixtures, ceiling fan, recessed lighting, etc. The last week Joe and his team here (the week before Christmas), we also were working on our own projects and found a wall destroyed by termites. This was a disaster -- we were with hosting the holiday festivities! Joe and his team made time to replace the header over the window, patch the sill plate, replace a number of studs in the wall and put up new drywall for us. This was an additional cost, of course (not included above), but it was very reasonable. Joe also sticks by his work. We have had a couple of minor issues (caulk crack, cabinet door loosen, etc) and he has just come back to fix them. Joe will tell you that he is not a designer, but he offers great advice and has a very good eye for what is going to look good. He has good recommendations for granite, tile, glass, plumbing fixtures, etc. All in all we could not be happier with the job Joe and his team did. We were so pleased that we had them back a few months later to do our hall bath and we may have them back in the future for other renovations as well. And my mom is probably going to use him too :).

This was the second time we had Joe and his team in our home to do a project. The first was a simultaneous remodel of our kitchen and master bathroom (see previous review). We were so pleased with the way our first set of renovations went that we had Joe and his team back to do our hall bathroom. This project involved gutting the bathroom, putting in a new subfloor, installing mold resistant dry wall, installing new vanity, wall cabinet, linen cabinet, tub, sink, plumbing fixtures including a thermostatic valve, tile tub surround, wall mounted toilet, LED recessed lights, ceiling fan, etc. Most importantly, Joe solved a couple of problems we had with our bathroom. The biggest problem was the fact that the contractor that built the home installed a floor joist 1.5 inches higher than the next floor joist. Consequently the whole floor ran downhill toward the tub resulting in water draining downstairs into our family room. Joe's solution was to sister the joist and then build out a wall into which he put a wall mounted toilet. This solved a storage problem for us as well; by bringing out the wall he was able to recess a full size cabinet within the wall above the toilet. Victory! Though he is not a designer, Joe does have a great eye and guided us to make some choices that turned out great and that we wouldn't have thought of. As with the kitchen and master bath, Joe's team was completely professional, courteous and pleasant to have in our home. Like when they were here for the kitchen and bath, we were doing our own projects and this time we put a screw through a sewer pipe in our family room ceiling. Ew. Joe and team to the rescue once again :o) They fixed the issue and re-sheetrocked the ceiling. Although it wasn't in the original estimate or project plan, they did it for a reasonable amount and did a great job. Near the end of the project, Joe came to us and said he had leftover LED color change lights. As a gift for our young children, Joe gave them to us and installed them under the vanity, free of charge. I would recommend Creative Remodeling and Design without hesitation.

The day came to do our work he shows up with another guy and left for another, bigger job leaving the other guy here. He made such a mess out of the walls I could have done a better job! In fact it look like I did. The tiles are crooked, bumpy, mis-spaced and mis-aligned. AND it took FIVE days! When the painters came they had to redo much of the prep work that was done. He took $500 off the job, but frankly I agreed to that price I would rather have the job look right and pay for it, then be left with a mess at a cheaper price. Be sure WHO is going to do your job and what experience he has.

Joe, owner of Creative Remodeling & Design, is the contractor we’ve always wanted to find. Even though he was enthusiastically recommended by several good friends, I interviewed four other contractors for our project, which involved totally gutting and rebuilding our bathroom. When I interviewed Joe from Creative Remodeling & Design, I strongly suspected that I had found the right contractor. Now I know I did! He’s loaded with creative design options, very creative and talented, and is very conscious of cost control, and doesn’t creep the price at all. Joe is extremely focused on customer satisfaction, and has skilled craftsmen but keeps tight supervision of, and involvement in, all work. His business model gets all project materials on site before starting, then he never leaves your job for other jobs until your project is finished. The job site was maintained in extremely clean condition, as were the garage and driveway; and our hardwood floors from the front door throughout the project area were fully protected, including the stairs. Our finished bathroom is far above expectations and under budget. It’s fabulous! I’m getting Joe back for more projects!
