Pipeworks were professional and responsive on a Friday evening. They called back and put us on their schedule for immediate repair for a leak. Our service tech Rich was knowledgable, solved the problem quickly and we discussed additional services that may be needed. We had Rich come back to install the Halo water filtration system and we are happy with the decision to do it. We certainly recommend Pipeworks and would call on them again for any of our future needs.

We have had continual problems with the pipes in our master bathroom freezing after a major remodel done by another contractor. PipeWorks addressed the problem by first diagnosing where the freezing was occurring(over a bay in our garage). They then suggested both a garage heater (which is also very nice to keep our garage at 55 degrees during the winter so the cars are never cold and the snow melts right off) coupled with properly insulating the garage ceiling. When they were done, you would have never known they were there. They were punctual and did everything to the exact specifications in the estimate. The comfort in both our garage and the master bathroom (tile floor was not as cold) was much improved. We had no further issues with freezing the rest of the winter. We have used PipeWorks for over 8 years and use them exclusively without competitively bidding the work given our comfort with them and the quality of the work they do. We have used them for HVAC replacement, generator installation, whole house humidifier and dehumidifier installations, plumbing needs, etc., as well as routine maintenance and service. I firmly believe you get what you pay for most of the time and PipeWorks does outstanding work at a very fair and competitive price. I recommend them without hesitation!

Basically he said our furnace is too old for him to do the tune up. Wish we had known that. He was very friendly and professional and made some helpful suggestions on the humidifier.

We called PipeWorks Services, Inc. on a Saturday at 11:45am requesting service on a 9 year old water heater that was leaking. Even though it was a Saturday, and they are located in Chatham, NJ and we are located in Cranford, NJ, a technician arrived within an hour and a half. The technician, Zach Langowski, was very polite, professional and friendly. The water heater needed to replaced and without hesitation, Zach removed the old one and installed the new one. He appeared knowledgeable and worked very cleanly, not leaving any mess whatsoever. We were very impressed that having placed the call at 11:45am, the entire process was completed by 4:15pm.

Carolyn from Pipeworks contacted me after seeing the review to say there were extenuating circumstances with my experience and wanted to remedy the situation, however, the work was already completed by another company.

He seemed very knowledgeable. My only gripe was he came in 5 minutes after the 4 hour appointment time window expired, hence I am giving a B on punctuality, otherwise everything good.

After our previous plumbing contractor caused a major leak in our three year old hot water boiler, we called Pipe Works Services for help. Outside temperature was getting frigid, so we needed a new water boiler quickly in order to heat the house. Pipe Works Services went beyond their call of duty and installed our new hot water boiler on a Saturday in the middle of a major snowstorm so that we didn't have to suffer another day of freezing cold. That's what I call great service! The quality of work was also excellent, and all the staff and crew at Pipe Works were most professional and courteous. Pipe Works Services also back up their installation work with a five year parts and labor warranty. This is the reason why Pipe Works is a little more expensive than other companies, because they deliver quality work and they back it up with a long warranty. Before we called Pipe Works, we used another plumbing company that gave us the lowest quotes and estimates, but that company's service and work quality were horrible. Pipe Works Services is way better and it most certainly deserves an A+ on Angieslist.

After getting off to a rocky start with Pipeworks things have definitely improved. I appreciate the fact that the company responded to my unhappiness and did whatever they could to fix the problem. They have hence been extremely response, polite, thorough and a pleasure to work with. My plumbing problems have been sorted out and i'm very happy with the service. thank you Carolyn, Mike and Lloyd.

It was good. They showed up on time, they were nice. They went over the furnace and cleaned it. I got some pointers on yearly maintenance. The guy was really nice and didn’t try to sell me other bunch of things. He also helped me with other stuff.

Pipe Works Services, Inc. contacted me within two days, but then informed me that they were so swamped as a result of the Big Deal that the earliest appointment would be 3 weeks away. Being a new home owner, I was advised by my home inspector to have my gas/steam boiler inspected and maintained prior to using it. I tried to wait the 3 weeks but last night it was 2 degrees above freezing. I cancelled and arranged for someone else to come out and inspect it instead.

I just purchased a new home earlier this year and have a very old boiler. I wanted to make sure it was working properly before the cold weather comes. I purchased the deal on Angie's List and the provider contacted me promptly and accepted a time slot I had suggested. I asked for a reschedule and they were very accommodating. The time-slot was from 10am - 1pm and the provider showed up around 11:30am. Lloyd was the person they sent and he was extremely polite, professional, and knowledgeable. He checked the boiler and it seemed to be working fine. I asked him to check all of the radiators which he gladly did. He also was very patient and answered all of my questions with explanations that I could understand. Although I do need a new boiler, he did not push me or try to sell me on that. I asked for a rough idea of what a new boiler would cost and he called his office and gave me what sounded like a good and fair estimate. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with this provider and think this deal was well worth it. I now have a clear understanding of how my heating system works and what I need to do to get it working as efficiently as possible.

They price by the job not by the hours. labor worked out to over $300 per hour for the work we had performed. all prices are disclosed before work begins, but i highly suggest you obtain a quote before scheduling a job with them.

I just wanted them to look at the boiler at the start of the winter season. they told me they could not honor the coupon until late November (they only allocate a few time slots for Angie's List coupons). They were very nice, but the whole idea of the promotion is to inspect the boiler before we start using it for the winter. they seem not to have understood that point.

Went very well. The technician was punctual and professional. They suggested an expensive cleaning but did not push the service on me.

Lloyd was very helpful as he not only replaced our leaking s*** off valve, he also was able to make a quick adjustment to the refridgerator connection and tried his best to check on my furnace humidification unit. Despite not being able to resolve that problem, Lloyd was helpful in makeing a few suggestions including getting an annual maintenance contract which I decided to purchase for this year. Pricing is on the high side compared to what I have experienced in the past but the professionalism and quality of the work and advise was top notch.

The technician was great as usual. Everything was explained and luckily nothing wrong was found. They did recommend installing a whole house dehumidifier instead of running the three individual units in the basement. This was something I had on my todo list.

it went very well, Paul and his team came on Saturday and installed new water heater with power vent for us.

This year, after signing the service contract ($250), have had two service calls cancelled by the company. 2 days of lost productivity at my job so I could stay around for their 10-2:00 service window. Very poor communication. This last time I called at 2:20 and was told the tech was running late- NO KIDDING. They called back at 3:40 saying the tech would not be able to make it out. At this point I told them that I should be compensated for my time. I was looking for a full or partial refund of my contract. The secretary was amazed that I would want a refund AND a service call. She supposedly spoke to the owner Paul and they would not refund my money and give a service call but would give me additional service inspection. Of course, so they could find something else to charge me for!!! I have personally left two voice messages for the owner with still no response. Way to go Pipe Works, customer care is certainly not a priority!!! UPDATE Technician and owner came for newly arranged appointment. First call of the day. Serviced and checked A/C unit. Good job. Apologies accepted.

The job went fine. We had to reschedule due to hurricane Sandy. They were very accommodating with the new appointment. They were punctual and provided the services as required. They also let us know about other services (plumbing, etc.) they can provide.

There was a little confusion with the appointment so the guys went to the wrong house but that was resolved with a quick phone call as it was just a miscommunication during scheduling. Once they got to the house they got right to work and had my boiler firing up again in probably no more than 10 minutes. I'm fairly handy but boilers are not something I'm experienced with so after looking at the thing for hours I decided to call somebody who knows what they're doing. It sucks that I basically had to pay about $100 for them to essentially come flip a switch but at least I was able to safely and quickly get my heat working again. I will have them back at the end of the summer to perform annual maintenance before the winter weather hits.

The downstairs heat in my house stopped working. I called to schedule an appointment with a serviceman from Pipeworks and was promptly scheduled for the next day. The lady I talked to mentioned that the fee would be $100 per half hour. The serviceman showed up during the appointed window (3 hours i believe) and was able to diagnose the problem within a few minutes. He wrote down the serial number from the faulty part to check if it was still under warranty and said that I would receive a call later that day or the following day. He collected the $100 plus tax and tip and left. I was impressed with his professionalism and efficiency. I didn't hear back within a couple days so I contacted PipeWorks. They were transitioning to a new system and so they had overlooked my case. In the end I received a refund and a sincere apology. I would definitely recommend PipeWorks.

Very happy with the service they provided. They arrived at the time promised on date of installation. The work was completed by mid-afternoon, as promised. They did have to return two days later to seal up old water pipes going to the oil burner, but there was no charge for this additional work. Water is heating up fine, and there have been no problems, so am very satisfied with work they completed. Also, will be saving money over time due to switch from oil to gas fueled water heater. Would recommend to others.

The valve for our water main was broken, and we were getting a slow leak on our floors. I called 2 other plumbers and left voicemails describing the problem. I waited a few days, and decided to do something before the slow leak became a fast leak! I went to Angie's List and found Pipeworks! Mary answered the phone was very helpful and patient although I heard lots of activity and phones ringing in the background. She told me I had to coordinate with the water company to shut off the service from the street. It seemed like the water company was able to come out immediately. Although she had a busy day already, Mary rearranged some things to accommodate. Mike the plumber showed up right on time and put on these red plastic covers on his shoes. It was really nice to see that they care enough to do that. Many contractors just track in dirty boots. He even put them on and off as he had to go out to the truck and back. He did the job in about an hour and change. 3 hours after I made the initial call, the problem was fixed. The first 2 plumbers still haven't returned my call. I assume they are either too busy, or they knew what was involved with coordinating with the water company and decided to pass. Pipeworks, however, was great!
