I had no heat at all and it was very cold. The two people who came to work were great. They had to run around for a spare part and a supplier gave them a wrong part. They realized it only after coming to my house and they had to go back again to get the right one. They fixed the problem but they were very expensive. They did everything they could do to help me. They promised that they would not leave until I had heat and they were good to their word.

First, I was extremely impressed with how responsive he was. I left a message with the answering service and received a call back in minutes. He then arrived at my house within the hour, even though it was a Saturday. Once at the house, he asked a number of questions to diagnose the issue. He then ran a few tests on the boiler and concluded that it was operating well. Rather than try to sell us on a new $7-12k heating system, or other non-essential work, he was honest with us and provided us with some tips on how to improve the performance of the existing system. Since I already had him in the house, I asked him a few plumbing related questions, and he provided very thorough answers. This was a great experience overall, and I have no hesitation in recommending Joe's company. The Angie's List discount was icing on the cake!

The owner was very responsive and explained everything before and after the installation. The job started on time and the crews cleaned everything before they left. The price is slightly higher, but I wanted a specific brand that is more expensive. Overall, I am happy with the job and will hire him again for other heating/plumbing work.

We called Mar Go on New Year's Eve for a clogged toilet problem. They called back within five minutes and came to the house in about twenty minutes. While there, they unclogged the toilet and we discussed the need to be able to turn off the water when we are away. He gave us an estimate and we had the work done promptly. Upon completion, he told me to call him anytime, day or night if I encournter a problem. Not only is this kind of service exceptional, but they are also extremely polite and professional. I would heartily recommend them to anyone.

Margo was very responsive and professional. The only problem I had is their price is significantly higher than any one else. They do not charge to come to the house and give you an estimate once they are there which is a great business tactic as you are unlikely to tell them to go away once you have someone on the job. However I think that $185 for 15 minutes work putting in a hose is excessive. In my case, they did go out of their way to find a matching hose, and if it wasn't for that, I would have cancelled using them. Other than price, they are great.

THEY RESPONDED QUICKLY AND POLITELY TO MY FIRST CALL. THE WORK WAS DONE PROFESSIONALLY AND COMPETENTLY. THE WORKERS WERE POLITED AND HELPFUL, AND THE OWNER CALLED A FEW TIMES TO CHECK ON PROGRESS AND MAKE SURE i WAS SATISFIED.

It was great....took the information over the phone, set an appointment, came as scheduled, I added more to the job request when they were there....they gave me a written estimate, I approved it, and as the job was going on they kept me apprised of the activities at every step....when there were additional issues that arose, and when things went smoothly. They were EXTREMELY clean (to the point of booties over their shoes) and courteous.

I've had problems with contractors before so punctuality and professionalism is quite important to me. Margo Plumbing exceeded my expectations. I'm glad I found them through this site. Their high ranking is very well deserved.

Two young men were sent to give me and estimate to install the water supplies and drains in 2 sinks in a new granite countertop in my bathroom. Sinks were already installed in the granite in approximately the same location (the old sink centers were measured from right and left walls) and the new sinks were installed in the same distances so that supplies and drains would be easily attached. After commenting that my new purchased faucets were of inferior quality, I responded that they were good enough for me. I believe that was an attempt to sell me faucets of supposed better quality. They finally went out to the truck to work up an estimate and returned shortly with an estimate for $600.00. Since I had already received two other estimates from licensed plumbers, one for $200.00 the other $400.00 I told them to return to their boss and report that I said the price was ridiculously high and that he would never get any business from me. I saw reports on Angie's List that their prices were high, but I'm afraid that someone who didn't realize they were grossly over-charging would fall for their spiel and contract with them. Lesson to be learned: Get at least three estimates even for small jobs. Follow up: In response to the owner, all I said was the truth except the comment about the faucets which was an opinion. Your techs obviously were wrong about the valves. The valves did hold when the faucets were installed for $200.00. The mains were not turned off!!

I have used them for years. He shows up on time, is courteous, and is clean and neat. I would not hesitate to recommend him. He is great at getting back to you the same day and his prices are fair. I use him at work as well.

It went very well. I had called another local company before MarGo on Tue. & Wed. Got an answering machine both times and they didn't call back. I got MarGo's name from Angies list and got a live answering service when I called. Joe, called me back within 5 minutes of my original call which was on Thursday. We made an appointment for Saturday since I work full time. The appointment was for 9 a.m. and he was here at 8:55 a.m. Friendly, nice, explained everything to my husband as they went along. Wore booties and was extremely neat and careful. He completed the full service, fixed the problem, all for exactly the originally quoted price and did it all in 1 hour and 15 minutes. I would use this service again in a heartbeat and am happy to know they do plumbing and heating. The funniest part was that Sat. afternoon, after all was done and done extremely well by MarGo, the original local company I had called finally called me back.

The service was excellent but the price was very high.

Unfortunately, we did not go with MarGo because of pricing. But I would not hesitate to call MarGo again because they seemed genuinely concerned for the client rather than treating the work as just another job.

The kitchen sink backed up the morning of Thanksgiving. Being a current/repeat customer of MarGo Plumbing has its privileges. The sink needed to be snaked and the pipes checked and the owner himself came out to service our home. He also provided tips on how to protect our pipes and use our disposal. As usual, the quality and timeliness of the service was amazing.

The young man was very helpful. He had other alternatives to what I wanted done. He did a very good job but the price was much too high.

Repairs were all performed. The staff was trustworthy working alone in my house. The price was very high for the services performed.

I had a leak near the Temperature & Pressure (TP) Relief valve on my hot water heater. I selected MarGo Plumbing based on positive reports on Angie s List. I called on Labor Day; to avoid a $150 holiday surcharge I arranged for them to come the next morning. The plumber, Jesse, arrived promptly. The first thing he did was to check the household water pressure. He found it to be excessive. Jesse reported that my water line s Pressure Reducer Valve had stopped reducing the pressure. Apparently this happens a lot; the valves contain a spring which wears out after a few decades. Jesse also observed that there was no expansion tank for my hot water heater, and said that whenever a Pressure Reducer Valve is present, an expansion tank is required. (I validated this via Google while he was here.) He s the only plumber I ve ever had to the house who checked the water pressure and who knew about the need for an expansion tank. I had him replace the Pressure Reducer Valve and a nearby cut-off valve, and add an expansion tank. Once he did this, he rechecked the hot water heater. I had thought I needed a new TP valve, but instead I needed a new water heater. [He did that the next day. I handled that as a separate job and am not including in the cost reported above.] Jesse is the most professional, courteous, and knowledgeable plumber I ve ever used. He wore booties to protect my floor. His soldering joins were very neat. He swept up after his work. He even added labels to a couple of my pipes. I talked to the owner, Joe, over the phone a couple of times. Joe is very service- and customer-oriented. MarGo charges a standard fixed price per job. The advantage is that the customer knows what the charge will be. The fees are high, but they do good work and provide a parts & labor warranty.

Had a toilet that didn't always flush right and overflowed now and then. Wanted to replace toilet in master bath for a comfort height one, so I purchased two top of the line toilets. When it came time to install I asked a friend/neighbor what plumbing company they used and they recommended MarGo. I called for an appointment, Joe (owner) came by, reviewed the job, provided a written estimate and set up a day and time to complete. Two men came on time, removed the problem toilet then snaked the problem drain. Joe arrived a short time later and ran a video camera through the drain and then they snaked it again; bigger snake! Both new toilets were then installed. They were very thorough, very neat, very knowledgeable, and we are very satisfied.

I found them on Angie's List and they came out and gave me an estimate on how much it would cost to replace the hot water heater and reviewed the different service plans they offered. They said they could come back in a week to replace (it was not an emergency, if it was they would have come sooner). The day they were scheduled to come they showed up on time and finished a little bit earlier than planned. They even marked off all of our different pipes and valves with laminated signs telling us what they were.

This contractor always comes when he says he is coming, is very neat, and does the job right the first time. We like the quality of his work and wouldn t hesitate in recommending him to others. We also felt that the price, albeit a little expensive, was well worth it considering the work he did. We will only use him moving forth.

Overall, the plumber they sent it was very good. I think their rates might be high, on the other hand they were pros about it. Overall time to complete was reasonable, and they do offer 1 year warranty on their scope of work. Be aware of their cost, but they're all right.

We were very impressed. They seem to use an answering service so that their calls are always answered promptly. I got a return call soon after, and the appointment was scheduled right away. He arrived on time. We had a lot of questions since we had just moved into the house. He was able to clearly answer all of our questions, both about the work we asked him to do, as well as how the system works and how to best maintain it. He was very clean (wore booties over his boots, put down a runner mat so his trips to his truck didn't mess our floors). Our favorite part was that he labeled all the various pipes, valves, and switches. Now there is no question about what is what. He had all the parts he needed in the truck and was able to do all the work within an hour or two of arriving. We look forward to hiring them to do work in the future.

THEY WERE RECOMMENDED BY A FRIEND OF OURS. THEY SHOWED UP WHEN THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO AND SEEMED PRETTY KNOWLEDGEABLE AND PROFESSIONAL. THE PROBLEMS WERE ALL TAKEN CARE OF.

HE WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL. HE WAS ALSO EXTREMELY PUNCTUAL. HE ALWAYS SHOWED UP ON TIME. I HAD A GOOD EXPERIENCE WITH HIM. I WOULD RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE.

THEY WERE VERY EFFICIENT AND I ALSO THOUGHT THAT THE PRICE THEY CHARGED ME WAS REASONABLE. THEY ARE VERY CLEAN AND PROFESSIONAL. I THINK THAT THEY DO VERY GOOD WORK AND I HAVE RECOMMENDED THEM.
