MarGo is pricey, however, you really do get what you pay for. Xavier and Brandon who performed the work did an excellent job. An undiscovered problem with one of the pipes was identified and expertly taken care of. Both men were professional and cordial. Joe, the owner, also came by and removed a broken toilet seat, in record time. When you call this plumbing company you are calling the best in the Livingston/Essex county area.

Our 35+ year old boiler broke in March 2019 about a week before temperatures were predicted to go back into the 'teens. I called 3 companies, Margo was the only one to come out, provide estimate quickly with a time frame for install. Mike was very nice and courteous (wore booties when working in the house and quickly made friends with Bear our dog). They had 6-7 people on the job to have it done quickly and correctly. Not Given our plans with the house we did not want an in-place solution so we were quoted a wall mounted boiler with a storage tank (direct vented to driveway to remove chimney later) as well as a water filter/softener. Their finance plan helped us not have to compromise and spend further money down the road. In terms of post-install service is where Margo also really shined. After install it seemed that the unit was not functioning correctly. Margo came out to make sure the boiler was functioning properly. Unbeknownst to them or myself there was a gas line issue at the street causing supply issues and construction on my and next door house caused boiler to suck up the debris. After Margo took the boiler apart to clean and tweak it is running quieter than my refrigerator! There are many factors when considering a plumber for important jobs. And for a long term investment such as a boiler you definitely want Margo.

They were very courteous, punctual and were very conversational willing to answer all of my questions. I do have to thank them because they discovered and fixed some life-threatening shoddy work that could have turned out really badly for my family. They were amazing. Tip? USE THEM! 😄

He was not good at all. He deal with it because there are too much going on. He saw that there was going to be too much, he just look at it and did not do anything.

Rob and Clement presented me with several options after checking the issue. Although the project got a little bigger than we originally thought, I’m glad they were very helpful and professional in showing the problems and presenting me with the options. Even Joe the owner came down to try and fix the issue. All thing said, the issue was fixed with new pipes installed and redirected to my pump rather than digging and repairing the original drain pipes. Rob and Clement was a terrific tandem!

After waiting all day for another company to call me back I found MarGo and could not be happier. Joe answered the phone late in the day in the office and promptly setup an appointment for first thing the next morning. And then Jesse was an amazing technician from start to finish. He went step by step with me investigating the issue and going over my options, including typing up several estimates. There was zero pressure at all in regards to making a sale. I just felt so comfortable with them that I decided to replace the water heater now versus patching it with a new pressure relief valve. Jesse never even left the house, he started work immediately on removing the old water heater. He even encouraged me to watch over his shoulder and ask any questions if I liked. Then Joe arrived, introduced himself, and they brought in the new tank, set it up, and I was back to having hot water by lunch. They worked quick and clean (wearing booties and laying floor mats from the door to the basement). I even got a follow up call the next day just checking up that everything was working well. I couldn't be happier with MarGo as a plumber and going forward they'll now be my first and only call.

Everything went well. They did an excellent job removing the old oil boiler and installing the new gas boiler. I cannot say enough nice things about the quality of work.

Dino carefully removed old faucet and drain taking a lot of care. He replaced both items and replaced old valves. Very pleased with his work.

It was a friday night and the toilet was leaking. Joe the owner came out that night to fixed the toilet. They were very professional, very reliable and very good.

They came the next day and fixed everything. Dino explained what he did thoroughly and we were very pleased.

The price I was quoted for this job was ridiculous! First the tech wanted to give me a new toilet. When I sad no he pushed on saying my toilet was old and he wasn’t sure he could fix the handle. I might need a custom part! Hen I questioned him he changed his mind and said he could do It. So he presents me with a quote for $299 to fmrepmace the flush handle! I can get a top of the line toilet for less than that! The tech quoted flat rate pricing saying all customers are charged that! I sent him away and called another plumber where the fix was less than half that! Save yourself the headache and go with someone else!

This was my first experience with MarGo and it was very good. Sue, a company employee, answered my call. She was very polite and provided a day and time window for the appointment. She later called back confirming my appointment and called again when the technician was on his way. Jesse, the technician, arrived right on time. He was very courteous and professional, and neat, inspecting the problems and providing his analyses and costs for the work. Jesse was very clear in advising us of our options and what he felt could not or should not be done, as well as what he felt should be done. He cautioned us about the possibility that even though he would be as careful as he could be, that some of our old sink drain pipes could break in the process of his repair and their repair was not included in his quote. He did provide a quote for the additional cost if they broke. Jesse advised us that company policy prevented him from trying to repair the leaky shower faucets and flow valves, which were very old and set into and behind ceramic tiles, because major damage could occur behind the tiles. He advised not doing anything unless the leaks worsened. I understood his concern and will take his advice. Jesse snaked the sink drain for over 25 feet, tested the sink afterwards to make sure it was draining properly, and thoroughly cleaned up after the work. He was careful and none of the drain pipes broke during the course of his work - and no extra charges were necessary. A service call charge when no work is done Is certainly reasonable when one considers the time and expense for a technician to travel to a customer, especially when the charge is applied to any work done. That being said, the service call charge was eliminated when they did the work and the price quoted in advance is what I paid. MarGo may not be the cheapest plumber in the area, but the price quoted for what they did and the time they spent doing it seemed to be fair and reasonable. Based on this visit, I would not hesitate hiring MarGo again. They were as professional as they could be. Jesse was great.

Dino did an awesome job. We called at 8am on the Saturday before Christmas and they said they would be able to come between 10-12 that same day. He was a life saver! We couldn’t get our kitchen sink to drain at all. He snaked the drain twice and it worked right away, then cleaned up his work. He made sure there were no leaks in the basement as well which was nice. We’ll be contacting them in the future for HVAC services.

Joe the Owner, called me the same day I order the HVAC Tune up special. Their Tech arrived on time and started his inspections. He Changed filters in the Heating units and made recommendations. Since my old Laundry sink was clogged, we decide to change the sink and we had a leaky pipe. Overall the Techs are very professional and they use foot covers when they enter the house. Very Considering. I would use them again.

MarGo came out same day of call, showed up right on time. Unclogged and replaced pipe at a reasonable cost. Did an excellent job cleaning up as well. Overall a very good experience - will certainly use them again in the future.

The whole thing was simply a pleasant experience from beginning to end. The company was very quick and responsive to my request for a callback to make an appointment, gave me a 4 hour time frame when someone could come over, and finally gave me a heads up when they were on their way. Dino P. and Richie were very courteous, professional, and efficient. In fixing the problem, they had to replace what's called a "cartridge," which they did on the spot. They also observed that the bathtub spout itself was corroded and while it worked (replacing the cartridge stopped the leaking), it resulted in the water taking a couple of minutes to fully shut off. What really impressed me was the fact if I chose to replace the bathtub spout, that they gave me two options - a ballpark figure on how much it would cost if they had to come back and fix it (they did not have the part handy), vs. how much it would cost if I purchased the fixture myself (cheaper, plus I had them teach me how to do it - ridiculously easy). That honesty right there told me that this company is not out to "make a buck" off of a single mother who has no clue whatsoever about plumbing. :) Granted, I did wince ever so slightly at the final cost (again, single mother :) ), but I read all the reviews beforehand, and I understand that this is a specialty trade, and they always give an estimate first. Plus the replacement cartridge came with a 1 year warranty. They wore booties so as not to track dirt inside the house, used a cloth in the bathroom, and left everything clean. I will definitely call them again if the need arises in the future!

My gas boiler stopped working and we hired a company from the local HomeDepot DM. I was not fully convinced by the repair/replace estimate from them (read some negative things online) and therefore I would like to find someone with good reputation. MarGo seems to have mostly positive feedback from both Angie's List and some other websites and I contacted MarGo. Jesse came to my place and I told him I would like to hear a second opinion. He was very candid and explained what he was doing and shared his knowledge; a nice guy. Although the charge was not cheap but I did appreciate the quality of work. I watched the entire repair process and he explained every detail about what he was doing. Again, not cheap but trustworthy. Some of the work may look easy but I do not have the right tool and expertise for that. I think it is good to let the pros do the right job instead of messing around on my own. I had another home improvement project and my wife and I were frustrated about the problems it had caused. Finding someone you can trust is really a pain; I would rather hiring someone maybe a little bit expensive but trustworthy than spending extra time and money to get the job done right. I would seriously call Jesse for some other jobs in the future.
