When my water heater burst, I found MarGo on Angie's List, since my regular plumbers didn't respond. They were responsive to my questions, intelligently answering all my concerns. Their finished price was right on the estimated mark, $1500.00. Seems a bit high to me, but their work was clean, fast and efficient. I'd use these guys again in an instant.

Service technician/plumber arrived at 8:30AM (was quoted an 8:30AM start). Work went as scheduled and outlined in estimate. No surprises, no changes to the scope of work outlined in the estimate. Very professional, and would not hesitate to use again.

I had a leaky shut off valve plus a tub spout that was stuck and need to be replaced. The plumber did both and did a inspection of the other plumbing in the house. Also gave us recommendations on potentially replacing our water heater.

Firstly, I will rate the (estimated) price for this job, as that is the basis of this review. This company will NOT be performing the actual work in my house, as their price estimate was three times that of the company who will get my business. Yes, you read that correctly, three times as much. I am not capping those words, as I don't wish to scream, but this experience left me, literally, in tears, as I thought I would have to come up with so much money for this unexpected expense (replace water heater). But, as I look through the reviews, all rated "A" for MarGo, I see this is par for the course. The prices I see charged by this company, for the simplest of repairs, leads me to believe that people are being grossly taken advantage of. I called this company based on their A rating on Angie's list, and did not delve into the details of the reviews. Now that I have done so, I can only concur, that while they might behave professionally (they did) and they might do GREAT work, their prices are ludicrous. Fortunately, our practice is always to get three estimates for a job, so after they left, we called someone else (recommended by a friend) and he came in with a price for $1,000.00. He mentioned all the concerns MarGo did, so he is not cutting any corners. We googled the price for a water heater, and came up with approx. $500.00. MarGo estimated $1300.00 I really hope this review counterbalances their A rating, and that people learn that great work and great pricing are not mutally exclusive.

Had MarGo come give us an estimate on a tune-up for our boiler. Joe was punctual and professional. Did the estimate, but in the process answered a bunch of questions I had and noticed I had over-filled the boiler, which he corrected without charging for his time. Estimate was fair for the services and necessary replacement parts, so I scheduled the tune-up/repairs. When he came back to do the work, Joe was again punctual and professional. Completed the work, went over everything with me, and again answered a bunch of questions I had. He also took the time to tag the main shut-offs for our water and hot water heater. After using MarGo, it's not surprising why they're so highly rated. Would definitely use again and recommend to others.

Very professional, very tpunctual...knows what they are doing. Class out, but not cheap.

The job didn't take long, and the guy was very professional, but I thought the price was way too high. But since it was an emergency, I just went ahead and let them do the job instead of shopping around for quotes.

Great job, exceedingly expensive. I suggest using another plumber that is more affordable.

Called on Saturday, Joe showed up withing 45 minutes of call. Very imformative and showed us exactly what the problems were. Gave us a price, came back Monday, and showed up on time. Workers were polite and respecful of our home. Had to replaced on additional part and did NOT charge as he didn't put on the original estimate. Will absolutely use them again in the future and recommend to all we know in our area. JOe is knowledgeable, friendly and most importantly, honest.

We called for an estimate on 3 plumbing projects in the house ,and he was responsive, professional, and punctual. He returned calls and showed up when he said he would and was friendly and gave an immediate written estimate for us to consider. His price was a bit high, however, so we went with another plumber.

A MarGo plumber came to give an estimate right on time. He listed the things to be done and what they would cost and was very professional. I made the decision to schedule the work and we set a date and time. The plumber (the owner) came to do the work right on the time we had agreed upon. He even called before hand to let me know when exactly he'd be there. He worked efficiently and cleanly: he wore covers on his shoes and put down covering wherever he worked. When he was done, he showed me what had been done, what the probable cause of the drain blockage was, and what could be done to minimize future problems. He provided excellent professional services and I'd use him and his company any time.

I discovered the problem, called Mar-Go Plumbing from work. They called back immediately and went over the same day to diagnose and give an estimate. They called and left an estimated at the house explaining the the problem was and how much it would cost me to have them fix it and what could go wrong and what additional costs could possibly occur in fixing the problem. I reviewed the estimate and called them back the next morning. They came back that morning and fixed the problem at the low end of his estimate which was nice and honest since I wouldn't have known the difference or cared for that matter either way. The were responsive, quick and professional. I think the cost was a bit high for what I thought a simple fix would be...maybe only a few hundred dollars at most, but the service and responsiveness made it worth the higher price. I would call them again for similar emergency plumbing issue for sure. Sometimes you have to pay up for higher quality customer service and work.

Margo was able to get Mike out the same morning I called to find the leak and write up the estimate. He returned the next day to complete the job. He showed up on time and finished earlier than estimated. Very pleased with the service and clean up.

They do really guarantee their work for a year. They are very responsive. The owner came himself, he was great and it was his suggestion to replace the toilet seat at no charge.

Joe was fantastic. He knows exactly what he is doing. I was very impressed with his knowledge. I was thinking of replacing a basin in another bathroom, but he said to not do it because I would have to rip out all of the pipes from the wall, which could damage the pipes. He told me to wait till I am ready to completely remodel the bathroom. I really liked his honesty. He said he couldn't believe the other installers had installed cheap, Home Depot, toilets in my home.

I have used this company several times. I thought the price was high but needed the work done and didn't want to start calling other firms.

Overall the job went pretty well. They showed up on time . Seemed to know their business and completed the project in a timely manner. I thought the price was a bit steep but as I said Ineeded to grt it done.

I have used Margo Plumbing exclusively for the past 7 years and I have nothing but excellent things to say about them! They are a true rarity in the plumbing world because they do the following, every time... call you back promptly show up on time work very neatly and clean up after themselves, they even wear booties in your house know what they are talking about - they are experienced professionals that don't try to sell you unnecessary services, upfront and honest Really, what more could you ask for!

We had a leak in our toilet. I called MarGo and they cam that day. Jesse was incredibly professional and discovered a leaking pipe under the toilet, in the basement as well. He gave me an estimate on the spot. He returned the next morning with a coworker and finished the job, installing a new toilet. I was very impressed with his professionalism and conscientiousness. The whole thing did seem a little pricey, but since we did not get other estimates it's hard to tell.

I was very pleased with the work performed - professional, friendly, neat and efficient. However, the price turned out to be completely off the charts. I had never lived in a house with a sewage pump. Our house is approx 5 years old and the pump broke. We could not flush the toilet in the basement or use the sink or bathtub. In addition our water softener drained into the sewage pump - which means a large amount of water is disposed of from the pump into the sewer. Needless to say we were in a panic. I spoke to Margo and was told over the phone that the job would cost $1500; not having any experience with this type of system I agreed. Margo came the next day and completed the job in about 2 hours. The service was excellent, however, I later found that the price was outrageous. I spoke to a friend the next day and told him about the pump breaking and how much it cost. He told me he had the same situation in his home but the entire job cost approx. $800. I went to the internet and searched for the pump which I quickly found at a local supplier and the cost was a shocking $308. I feel that Margo took advantage of the situation. I paid them $1475 for a $300+ pump, a new PVC ball valve, a clamp and about 2 hours of labor. If I make a generous estimate of all parts at $500, labor would cost $1000 for 2 hours or $500 per hour. To me this is completely outrageous!!!

Joe is very reliable and professional. He always comes on time and you can trust him. He knows what he is talking about.

We were very impressed with Margo Plumbing. We emailed a service request late Thursday night and received our appointment on Friday as requested. The service tech was professional, detailed and thorough. They stayed until everything was done correctly and kept me informed of all the steps they were taking. After hearing that we had just moved in to the house, they also walked us through the things we should know about the house so that we would konw what to do if something happened in the future. They even went as far as labeling the main water line shut-off for us so we would be able to find it in an emergency We would definitely rely on Margo Plumbing with any other plumbing needs.

I thought Joe was very professional and punctual. I had a hard time previously getting other companies to show up. Joe quickly got back to me and confirmed the appointment ahead of time and I had the work done within the week I first called. My AC system wasn't working at all and Joe got everything on track within an hour or so. There were no surprises in the fee I was charged and he was very nice and took time to explain things he was doing and answering any questions I had. I highly recommend this company!

We have had a leaky faucet in the kitchenOur technician came in and assessed what we needed fixed, providing an estimate for replacing our kitchen faucet and snaking out the master bathroom sink(which I requested after he arrived on site). After leaving for a few minutes to purchase the appropriate replacement for the kitchen sink, he came back and finished the job in a timely manner. I plan to use this service for any work I need done in the future.
