They were great. They showed up when they said they would and went straight to work. We paid what they quoted us, no add-ons, and they were available on short notice.

They said that they would be higher priced, so I was expecting that price. I had tried clearing the drain myself and I was ready for a professional to handle it. They did accomplish the task successfully. They also installed tubing connecting faucet that had recently been replaced. They were also very courteous and came right when they said that the would.

Joe answered my call and came to my home to assess the work the same day. (Another popular local a/c company told me they could not have someone come to work on the vent until end of August/early September, which was about 6 weeks later. Joe from Margo Plumbing came to look at the vent the same day I called. What a difference!) He was very punctual, professional, and clearly knew his business very well. He presented two options due to the framework of our home, and after some thought, we decided to close the vent off rather than moving it. We were able to schedule an appointment for a few days later. Joe and Mike arrived exactly on time and were very nice to work with. The work took approximately one hour to complete. The work area was as clean after they left as it was when they arrived. Joe had also looked at a couple of areas of condensation in our basement. We ended up not needing any work done at this time, as he explained what might solve the problem. He did not charge us for that review. Overall, I was very pleased with the work done, and Joe is very fair and honest. I would highly recommend them and will certainly use them again!

We received our new range and realized that given the BTU's of the range, it needs to be installed by a certified plumber. We called several contractors on Angie's list. MarGo plumbing were the only ones who could come that day. They arrived promptly, installed the valve and the range, and also inspected the heating system. They made helpful recommendations about replacing the water heater and also did a test on our water for hardness. Everything was quick, efficient and clean. Will definitely use them again and would recommend them highly.

They were on time, nice and explained everything in great detail. Yet, their prices were too high.

We were very happy with the work from Jessie and his professionalism. He quoted a fair price and explained everything before doing the work. He was on time, cleaned up after the work was done, and did a great job. We plan to use them for other jobs and were very happy with everything.

I'm very impressed with the company. They could have charged us but they didn't which was really nice and professional. They were very kind. They didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need. I would definitely use them again.

Hot water from the bathtub was leaking from the faucet. It got worse in the last few weeks, it was more like a stream of water than just drips. I tried fixing it myself but knew I had to call someone for help. Jesse from Margo came to my home quickly and sooner than I expected. He was very informative and explained all of my options. Since we planned to renovate the bathroom in the near future, he was honest and told me that replacing the entire assembly that was over 20 years old old now would have to be done again during renovation. He fixed the seat and replaced the washers on both handles. A replacement stem could not be found since the parts are no longer made. I felt completely comfortable and in good hands with Jesse. Great work!

They were clean, they were timely, and they did a good job.

This is a very professional and customer oriented company. Their estimate was not the cheapest we received but their professionalism and thoroughness during the estimate impressed us to hire them. We made the right choice. They showed up right on time as stated and worked all day without stopping. They were clean and kept us updated throughout the day on the process. Joe the owner was very responsive to our questions and even suggested raising our boiler to avoid potential floods in the basement. I would definitely use them again.

Don't use this company! I called to have them check a leaking heater pump. The pump was leaking from the gasket and just the gasket needed to be replaced. I went upstairs to turn the heat thermostat on so we can observe the leaking pump. Their representative told me they would not do the work to just replace the gasket and they would only replace the whole pump for a cost of $850.00. My decision was not to use this firm and their representative left. When I came back downstairs, I noticed the cover to the furnace had been removed. There was no reason to remove the cover to the furnace. We immediately had no heat from that point on. The thermostat would call for heat and the pumps would go on but the furnace would not go on, even though the pilot was on. It would only pump cold water. It is obvious that the representative did something to cause the heat not to work so we would need to call them. I will be reporting this company to the better business bureau.

my furnace stopped working and i needed heat immediately, so i called this company because of his rating and he came in about 2 hours. he charged me $250 for a wire, and then said i needed a new furnace. he said he would email me an estimate, but i never got one. i feel like he took advantage of me and i will not use him again.

I called them to fix a zone valve for one of my furnaces. They were very prompt and professional and I'm sure they do quality work, but their quote was very high. Found someone else to do the work for less than half of their quote.

Mike provided estimate, completed within the time as communicated, and even threw in additional service in the form of replacement of leaking coupling on kitchen sink free of charge. On the whole a very satisfactory service call for us. Would recommend without qualification.

I went with MarGo because I was tired of plumbers not being responsive and not scheduling an appointment and showing up when they scheduled. I was sick of taking time off of work to then have something else some up and the plumber not be able to show up. Or being given the run around about when the appointment would exactly occur. They were very responsive from the first call, and were waiting outside my house a few minutes before the scheduled estimate appointment.. Jesse was thorough and quick and got me a quote right away. I had to wait for the sink to be ordered, but again, when they scheduled the repair appointment they followed through. He was on time, and the owner (Joe) called the night before to confirm. The work was done without a problem and he was great about answering questions and making sure that I was okay with the progress before he continued with each major step. The work looked great and I've had no problems. The owner also showed up to provide some help, but it's also nice to meet the boss when you are dealing with a new company. All in all, I'll admit that the prices may be a bit higher than some others, but I'm willing to pay for prompt, reliable service, and nice neat work. Plus I didn't have to worry about the cost increasing with the up front cost they give. I've gotten work done for cheaper in the past, but I've wasted more time taking time off work than I probably saved in the cost. I've also dealt with larger companies with the same cost model, but you never know who you will get to do the work. The next time I need work done, they'll be first on my list.

No service performed. All i needed was two knobs replaced on leaved water pipe coming into my home taht was leaking. The asking price was $575.

My central air unit seemed to sound different and didn't seem to be throwing out the cold air as effectively as it had. I called on a Saturday and an answering service took my information and passed it to Joe, who called back quickly. We set up an appt for first thing Mon. morning. He checked my outdoor unit and the indoor filter, vents etc. He determined that a small top up of freon ($30) was needed, that the filter should be replaced and some of the vents weren't open. He had to take the filter unit with him to get the new one (It wasn't an exact fit because apparently my model is an older one for which the previous type is no longer available) and returned after 5 to replace it, so I didn't need to take time off work. The total price seemed on the high side but Joe was very prompt and professional and I now have an a/c unit which is functioning well. The $25 coupon offered through Angie's List is also offered though the company's website.

Obviously, time is of the essence when a water heater dies, but we also didn't just want to just go with whoever could do the job fastest. We did get several estimates, and although MarGo's was about the highest, we felt good about them and giving them our business. Jesse came to do an estimate on time in the morning. While he could have started work right then and there (no real sales pressure, however), he was quite understanding when we said we needed to think about it more (as I said, the estimate was on the higher side). We thought about the various estimates, and decided to go with MarGo because of Jesse's professionalism and the fact that MarGo gave us the option of the best warranty (parts and service for 10 years for a little extra). I called MarGo back with our decision, and Jesse came back that afternoon to do the replacement. He managed the whole job alone, working quickly and professionally, laying down cloths on a carpet he needed to cross to get equipment in and out of our laundry room, etc. (Even for the estimate, as well as the installation, he used boot covers at all times.) MarGo also dealt with obtaining the necessary permit from our town (we paid the fee), delivering it to us in a week or so. The work easily passed inspection. So overall, I am very pleased we went with MarGo and would definitely contact them again for other plumbing needs.

Margo was very professional from the start. We saw their listing here on Angie's List for heating and plumbing. They had excellent reviews and the experience we had was equally great. Joe Vragolic, the president of the company, personally came to the house to assess our needs. He was professional, punctual and very knowledgable. He handled obtaining the permits for the relocation of the gas lines and was very flexible with the timing of the work that needed to be done. He provided his cell phone number in case the inspector had any questions as well. The inspection went quickly and Joe and his employee Jesse did the work in a few hours. Jesse was also very knowledgable and courteous. He provided explanations of the work that was performed and ensured that we had everything that we needed. If we need anything in the future, we will definitely use Margo again. I strongly recommend using their services.

Called Margo after enduring a Memorial Day heat wave with only hot air coming out of the vent when putting on my central AC unit for the first time. I called around to SEVERAL contrators thru Angie's List but none could come out for at least a week. Joe came out same day in 95 degree temps. He was professional and knew what he was doing. He was patient and polite in respondng to my wifes many questions.

We woke up last Friday to water dripping through the dining room ceiling, which is directly below master bedroom's bathroom. Called Margo at ~7am and someone answered our call and was able to come to our home within an hour and a half. They were extremely helpful in this urgent situation, providing a diagnosis and recommended approach.

Joe at MarGo Plumbing was responsive to my bid and after a personal inspection of the job, submitted a detailed and very complete proposal including pointing out other services which I would need and have to arrange with others. The price was in the middle of the estimates I received and because of the specificity of his proposal and professional attitude, I awarded the business to them. The work was completed in a timely and professional manner exactly to specification. The quality of the work was so good that the plumbing inspector from the City made many complimentary comments and asked who I had contracted to do the work. This was a big job that was completed in a quality manner as promised. All clean-up and removal was accomplished. Joe and his team are professional, courteous and a pleasure to work with. I'd recommend them to anyone.

I was not happy with what they charged.

The plumber has done a very good job for us with the plumbing. There were two people who came out to get the work done. Our experience with them went very well. We are going to use them again shortly because we want two water heaters for our two-family house and Margo said that he will give us information. If we get two water heaters installed at the same time, then he would give us a break. His prices are a little bit on the upside, but he is worth it. It is really important to me that the person who comes and does the work cleans up as well and they do that. Their responsiveness is really good. At one point, I had a pipe that broke and it was a pipe that was inside the house. What happened was that the pipe wasn?t shut off. So, water spurted out and it was spurting into the front of the yard. It was winter, but I called him and he came over to shut it down for me. His punctuality is better than good. They were really good with the cleaning up and giving us some information that would help us if we ever had to have this done again. Getting the two water heaters done together will save us money and that makes us happy.

I have used Margo for lots of minor stuff but needed a new toilet. Their estimate was almost twice the next one for the same model of toilet. They do very good work but are very very expensive.
