Jesse came to the house a few days prior to scheduling an appointment and explained in full and complete detail about the product, the different types along with the separate filters available and what he would advise. We decided to move forward and schedule an install date. Jesse stopped by a couple of days later to confirm what we would need exactly and the space where we would prefer to have it installed. A few days later Jesse showed up and installed the unit within prior to pre-determined time he had initially figured. A-Z, this was a very smooth process and was handled better than my wife and I would have expected. This was by far the easiest and on time job we have ever experienced within the scope of "plumbing" or install of such an item.

They were professional and informative about future work that may be needed.

Everything was excellent except for the price, the price was outrageous. They were extremely prompt and professional.

All in all, very well. The quality of the work is great, and the additional services and quotes Jesse provided was excellent.

Our sink began backing up after running the dishwasher. We snaked, plunged, put in drain cleaner and problem got worse. After a few days, called MarGo. Answering service took message and then we received call back almost immediately. Scheduled for next day. Mike came at the exact time. We explained the problem, he listened, asked questions, began to look at all the pipes under the sink, followed them downstairs. He explained in detail what he was almost positive had happened, showed where the blockage was taking place and showed us the weakened galvanized pipes and explained why motorized snake was dangerous. The pipes were really pitted and rusty for about a 10 inch stretch and obviously weak and we agreed to have it replaced rather than risk a puncture. The estimate was given in a matter of 15 minutes, and work began that afternoon, completely in a few hours.

We called Mar go plumbing because they were highly recommended on Angie's list. I was able to get an appt. within a few days. Jesse arrived within the agreed upon time frame. He reviewed the various plumbing issues we had. I.e. leaky faucet, two other broken faucets. He fixed them so quickly. He was very polite and offered helpful suggestions. We will definitely call Mar go next time we need a plumber.

I have a 2 family home and at 4 am saturday my son discoverd that the basement floor was flooding! We realized it was the tenant's hot water heater so I got up at 7am and consulted Angie's list for help.I called MarGo, left a message and Mary got back to me within 5 minutes.She said Joe would be at my house between 10 and 11 am. She called again at 10:55 to say he was on his way and he arrived at 11 am. Joe looked at the problem answered all questions and gave me several options for repairs. He then left to go to get a new water heater and was back shortly. By 3 pm the job was finished and Joe left the area spotless! All in all I would definitely reccomend this company.

My experience with MarGo Plumbing Heating Cooling has been a good experience from the very beginning. My call was returned shortly and an appointment was set up. Joe arrived to discuss the installation of a new boiler for my steam heating system. I was given all the requirements for the new boiler including the BTUs, electrical work, chimney inspection and permits. He took time explain everything and answer questions. There was never any sales pressure. I had a representative from another company come out the following day. This person seemed to be in such a rush and gave me hardly any information. I did not like the way he answered my questions and he did not seem that informed. I was completely turned off. I had read that the installation process was just as important as purchasing the product. This is why I called Joe back. I felt confident that he would do a good job and that he was registered with Angie?s list. Once I had decided on a specific boiler, I received a proposal that included the work to be done and warranties. After signing, the chimney was brought up to code and Joe picked up the permits. The job was done on schedule in one day. He checked all radiators and replaced the air vents. I was then given instructions on maintenance. He also stressed how important it was to contact the city inspector?s office for the final inspection, which I did. I have every confidence that my boiler is in good hands.

One night, the antique, not quite original, faucets and plumbing in our 75- year old house's tub failed, and the water could not be shut off without turning off the water in the whole house. We called Mar-Go on an emergency basis to make the repair. The plumber who came out (Jesse) was courteous and professional and made the repair from 10:00 pm to 11:30 pm on a Monday night. He capped off the plumbing in the bathroom so we could have water in the rest of the house. He explained that he would try to source the necessary, antique plumbing stems for our tub's faucets in order to avoid a global replacement. After contacting a number of sources, he was successful, and repaired the faucets and returned the tub to functioning order. Nonetheless, despite our preference for preserving the original plumbing and tile in the bathroom, he gave us a kind dose of reality that this repair would not end our problems and future stop-gap repairs would be quite limited. All the while, he was patient, responded to questions, and explained how to use the newly installed handles behind a panel in an abutting closet that would permit the water to be turned off just in the tub if (and when) this problem occurred again. The cost of the work reflects an additional $150 charge for coming out on an emergency basis. The work was performed over two separate visits.

It was a Saturday and I heard this loud noise in the basement. I ran downstairs and saw that my sprinkler system pipe had burst. I turned off the sprinkler system that I knew had been winterized already but that is another story Anyway, I decided to look around the basement since I was down there. Low and behold, the hot water heater was leaking also and I had water on the other side of the basement. . I immediately called my plumber, but did not hear from him. (He did call back at 4:00 pm, later that day, explaining that he hoped I found someone since he was not working on the weekend.) I went on Angie List, read the reviews on various plumbers and decided on MarGo Plumbing. I called and left a message with the service. In about 15 minutes, Joe called me back. He explained that there is a $75.00 service charge to come to the house but that would go against the installation, if I chose to use them. He said someone would be there within the hour. Mike did come within the hour and the first thing that impressed me was how polite he was and proceeded to put booties over his shoes!! Mike gave me three different estimates. with different options of service. I had a 75 gallon heater installed. I also had the pan installed underneath the heater with a pipe that drains into the french drains, so in case it ever happens again, the water will no longer be all over the basement!! Joe also came over to assist Mike with the heater. After it was installed, Joe went around the house to check the pressure in all the bathrooms. He noticed that one shower did not have enough pressure. He proceeded to take off the shower head and he fixed it!!! When he saw something was not working properly, he took the initiative to fix. Thanks to Joe and Mike for a job well done!!!

I noticed a leak in the valve that control the main line that provides water to our home. It wasn't a serious leak, but it was steady and I wanted someone to come out as soon as possible. I chose Mar-Go based on the positive evaluations it has received on Angie's List. I called Saturday afternoon, left a message with the company's answering service and in less than 30 minutes received a call back from Joe. I explained to him the situation and he told me he come the following day, which was a Sunday, to evaluate the problem. He told me he would arrive before 9 a.m. and would call to give us a heads up. He did call and arrived by the time he said he would. He took a look at the situation and explained very clearly what the problem was and what could and should be done to fix it. He gave us two options -- one less expensive one that would fix the specific leak and a slightly more expensive option to fix a second nearby leak. At no time did we feel he was pressuring us to decide which option to choose. He was very polite, friendly, patient and professional. He also explained that the water company would have to shut off the water supply to our house from outside for the work to be done. But he said he would take care of making those arrangements before we scheduled to have him to do the work inside the house. So he took care of dealing with the water company and making sure everything went smoothly with them. Once that was done we settled on a date and he was even willing to let a neighbor oversee the work because we weren't sure we could take time off from work. As far as the work itself, we chose to have both leaks fixed. On the day of the work he arrived before the time he said he would. And the work was superb and took less time than expected. You can tell that Joe takes pride in his work. Joe was as professional as he was on his initial visit. We were very happy with out experience and have no doubt that Mar-Go has earned our future business. All in all, I would highly recommend Mar-Go.

Had a leaky toilet. Did a thorough inspection of the toilet, plus checked my water pressure by looking in the basement and outdoor faucet. Provided estimates for a new toilet (to permanently address ongoing problem).

Very professional and trustworthy.

Paying that much to fix a stopped toilet is hard to swallow but this guy couldn't have been nicer, more professional, or more determined to do it right. I actually think I got my money's worth and I will certainly use them again.

Called on the weekend to schedule an appt. Answering service was efficient and told me that the company would call me back, which they did in a few hours. Got someone out very promptly at 8am the next day to take a look. They gave an estimate for the work, which I thought was very high, but we needed to get this done right away so accepted. Work was completed in about an hour. The plumber was polite, thorough and efficient. Overall had a great experience with the company and would use again if I didn't feel that the cost was so high.

I called MarGo for the first time to ask for an on-site evaluation/estimate for a broken drain pipe in our basement. The receptionist was polite, and she had a plumber call me back promptly. But that's where the experience went downhill. I described my issue and the physical layout of our basement in detail, but as soon as I mentioned that another plumber had provided me three different options for addressing the issue and suggested I get a second opinion (because there really are a number of ways this can be addressed), he stated that he would only replace the entire pipe (which would tear up the finished part of our basement), and he wouldn't be the cheapest anyway, so he didn't want to bother to come out. He followed that with "I'm just being honest," and while honesty is appreciated, his extremely dismissive attitude and not-so-borderline rude response was not. I will never call this company again.

I will for sure use them in the future!

I first found MarGo Plumbing 3 days after I bought my home and the shower was leaking. They were wonderful. Joe (the owner) came out and found the problem, which luckily wasn't actually a plumbing leak, it was a loose fixture. I told him my father would be visiting in a few weeks and would be able to help me re~plumb the shower at that time. Joe was able to do a "patch" for me to hold us over until my father came, and saved me tons of money. More recently I had an issue with my water heater. Another employee came over. He was also very professional and pleasant. He was able to resolve the issue, and give me a quote on a new water heater and instillation, as I wanted to know because my current water heater is rather old. I have been very pleased with this company. They speak to me in terms I understand, without talking down to me. There prices are reasonable, they are not the cheapest, but they are very skilled, and guarantee their work. They will never do work without the proper permits when needed, and always do everything to code. I would rather pay a bit more to have work done right by people I feel comfortable with, then save a few dollars for sub~par work. I am now a happy, loyal, customer.

Quite honestly I didn’t like them at all. The guy was very knowledgeable but I felt like he was fishing for what number I would pay rather than giving me a straight number that it would cost. I think he was trying to overcharge me for a flap. I felt like I was dealing with a hardcore salesman, instead of someone being upfront and telling me what the price was. It was almost as if he was asking me what I would pay. It didn’t go well. The number started out at $1700 and then within a second of him knowing that I have a price much cheaper, he lowered his price by $600 on the spot. It was really odd. It felt like he was trying to make a twit out of me. I would say they were very knowledgeable; he knew what I had, he had a big truck and he had everything in it. He definitely was smart, I just thought from a business principles standpoint he was fishing for what I would pay rather than tell me what things cost. His number was wildly higher than everybody else's. He also wanted to charge me $450 for something that someone was giving me for free. He made it sound like it was a huge deal and it just seemed odd.

Joe and his team are expert plumbers and do a terrific job. They are very professional, reliable, punctual and repsonsive. They are a bit expensive but I felt it was well worth it given the quality of their work. I highly recommend Margo plumbing and would use them again without hesitation.

They always responded promptly. Their staff was competent and knew their job, and also polite and considerate. My only objection was the high cost, but it was worth it to me to have excellent, reliable work done.

It went great. I will use this man for all my plumbing issues in the future.
