Erik is super responsive and great to work with. He came to our house, carefully investigated our computer and determined what was most likely the culprit. After installing a replacement power supply, he also updated some of our software and confirmed that everything was in excellent working order. This is the 2nd time we've used Erik's services and we are equally as pleased with his work. He's rescued us again!

I am satisfied in the performance of my system now. The power supply did the trick!

Eric has been working on and off in my two offices for several months. Everything is working well and we have been very satisfied with his work.

Erik responded immediately and was extremely prompt. He was responsive to our needs and showed us how to avoid having a repeat of these problems.

I called Erik for two reasons: to repair a broken "f" key on my Dell laptop, and to discuss options for dealing with an Apple iBook with a broken logic board. Erik returned my call promptly and maintained excellent communication throughout the process. He came to my home and repaired the Dell key quickly, and he helped me consider how to deal with the iBook and referred me to a colleague of his who offered a very reasonable charge for his services. I was very pleased with all of his help and would not hesitate to call him again.

Great. Erik showed up the same day I called. He went through and cleaned up lots of c*** that was slowing down the system. He downloaded a free clean-up utility that he recommends for regular maintenance. He gave me some suggestions for regular maintenance. He charged for one hour and by the time he left the computer was faster than ever - even than when I first got it.

Erik is a gem; talented and fun to be around. He is a wiz at making your computer more efficient and while waiting for the system to accomplish tasks, you get great conversation.

My hard drive crashed and despite calling HP service, I couldn't recover my files. I called Erik after seeing the Angie's List reviews and we arranged for him to come over the following day. In less than a hour, he was able to recover the files from my hard drive which saved me hours of re-work. He is a life saver!!!

I had been having trouble with my laptop computer constantly rebooting when I tried to log on, and getting an error message. I have Verizon DSL, and confirmed with Verizon that there was no problem with the connection and that it was the software (I have Microsoft XP Professional). I first took the laptop to a computer repair place I found in the Yellow Pages since it was listed as "Microsoft certified," but after a week they told me that they had run tests and found no problem and it was probably the connection. At that point I checked Angie's List and contacted Erik Miller, Computers By Erik. I described the problem over the telephone and he described a number of reasons that could possibly cause the problem. We made an appointment for him to come to my apartment, which he agreed to do after my work hours. He arrived right on time and, after switching Service Pack 3 for Service Pack 2 and further testing my computer, Erik thought it was likely it had a virus. He took the computer with him and said he would call the following afternoon. When I arrived at work the next day, I had a voicemail message waiting saying he had fixed the problem which was, indeed, a virus. Erik willingly worked around my schedule and agreed to come back to my apartment with the laptop on a Saturday afternoon. Again, he arrived right on time and tested the operation of my computer with two different modems and selected the more efficient of the two. He carefully reviewed all the new functionality of the computer upgrades he had installed and answered all of my questions. He said he would contact me in a week or so to see how everything was going, and left me his telephone number and e-mail address in case I had a problem. I should also note that, during each visit, he described exactly what he was doing as he went along, which was very helpful. The computer has been running perfectly, and all of the upgrades are as user-friendly as he promised they would be.

Erik was extremely prompt throughout the process, always available by phone and ready to make a house call almost at a moment's notice. I highly recommend his services.

About 1:30 PM today I realized my computer was infected with Antivirus 2009. I telephoned Erik and he was at my home in less than 1 hour. After 1 1/2 hours of assessment and removal tactics, my system was restored to its previous level of function. I also ordered 2 GB of RAM for my laptop as an upgrade that Erik recommended.

Excellent. Erik responded immediately when I called. He happened to be in the vicinity and he was at my home in 20 minutes! He is a professional and amiable IT consultant and I felt at ease working with him. After assessing that he would need to take the computer home, he then returned it to me 18 hours later and walked me through the maintenance and the new internet browser.

I called him on November 6th and he came right over. Assessed my problems and advised me on solutions. We purchased the flat panel monitor based on price and availability. He then came over on Nov. 13th to install the monitor and the softwares promised. He updated my anti-virus definitions and configured my anti-virus software. He also trained me on maintaining my system with the software he gave me.

I called him and he was able to come the next day. He was very reliable and was on time. I would definitely use him again.

Very very well. Eric is a very professional and knowledgeable computer service technician. He more than exceeded my expectations. He knows how to explain in layman's terms what I need to know to keep my computer running efficiently. I was little nervous because I use my computer for my professional business and it was not backing up properly. He also responded quickly to my call of distress and came to my home the next day. He was wonderful, reassuring, and I am very glad I hired him. I would use him again in a heartbeat and recommend him to anyone.
