Description of Work: Initial sales guy was great, but techs who came to install were rude to my wife and unprofessional. They ruined what otherwise would have been a very positive experience. We previously used them about 12 years ago in our old house and they were excellent. | |Had two old garage doors removed and two new ones installed with openers. |As per my wife: The first guy that came out was great. Very professional and knowledgeable. We scheduled the work. | |Techs that came on install day were rude, impatient and unprofessional with her. She was working from home and told them that she had a conference call and could not be interrupted at times. They nevertheless pounded on the door and refused to wait for a minute when they wanted her attention. She was actively speaking on a business call and they kept pounding until she answered, phone in hand. After she asked them to hold on for a minute or two, they refused to wait and talked over her, interrupting her business call. One tech then made a disrespectful comment to the other about her "not having time for them". | |We recognize that they are busy too and time is money, but their level of impatience and rudeness was unwarranted.

Description of Work: We called Bridgewater Overhead Doors to set up an appointment after reading the numerous stellar reviews for the company on Angie's List. We are glad we did! Adam, Senior Sales Rep., came out to our home promptly to measure the space and evaluate the existing structural framing. He was extremely courteous and knowledgeable, patiently addressing all our questions and concerns. I would be remiss if I failed to mention the fact that Adam actually talked us out of replacing our old but well functioning openers/motors, "why spend more money than you need to", he said! Before leaving, Adam presented us with three options/prices and brochures for each one. The prices quoted were quite reasonable for the quality Clopay products offered, particularly versus the "BIG BOX" stores. We decided to go with the Clopay GD2LP/Arch windows w/grilles & 12R-Torsion, R-6 insul., including decorative exterior hardware i.e., hinges, handles. Adam placed the order, and the installation was scheduled for 05/23/2016. The installers, Chris G. and his partner Shawn arrived on time, politely introduced themselves, explained the process, and immediately went to work - my offer of coffee was declined with a "no thank you sir" - Bridgewater Overhead Doors employs the best - no subcontractors here! Needless to say the job went off without a hitch! Shawn & Chris G. made all the necessary adjustments so that the doors operated smoother than a "baby's butt" - These guys are pros! They left my garage cleaner than it was before they began, and hauled away the old doors, packing material, etc.! We are thrilled with the function and the appearance of our new Clopay doors - my neighbors have all noticed the huge improvement as well! If your're in the market for new garage doors, do yourself a favor and shop Bridgewater Overhead Doors! |

Description of Work: They installed 2 new garage doors with battery backup door openers. We called on a Wed to schedule a quote and they came and provided the quote on Saturday. Called them on Monday morning to give them the job and the work was scheduled and completed on Wed. Price was slightly lower than other quotes($300 less than Home Depot's website for exact same doors/openers), and included a newer model of the door openers and a better insulated door than a competitor's quote which was $35 more. No surprises during the installation. They arrived when they said they would and finished the installation in about 4 hours. They hauled away the old doors, openers, and hardware. Before they left they took some time to explain maintenance and the basic workings of the door openers. Very professional.

+ -1 moreIt went flawlessly. I live in a townhouse and the garage door needed to be a specific color. I called the maintenance manager for my townhouse community and they recommended this company since they were familiar with the garage doors for these townhouses. They also told me where to get the paint to paint the garage door the require color since as the owner, I was responsible for that. When I called the garage door company, they quoted me a specific discounted price for the replacement door which would be metal instead of the rotting wooden one I had. They said for a fee they would even paint the door the color required before installing it if I gave them the paint. So I went down to their location, gave them the paint, and paid a deposit for half of the amount. They said they had to order the door but it would take about a week and then they would call me to arrange the day to install it. About a week later I got a call and a date was arranged and the guy came promptly on that day at the quoted time and installed it in about 90 minutes. I paid the rest of the amount owed and the job was done. The door works wonderfully and is much much quieter. The color matched precisely and the best part is that it was painted before installation which meant that the seals did not stick to the door. One more item was that the brand of door installed also qualified me for a 30% tax credit on the cost of the door. That money will come in handy next year plus my garage will stay warmer in the winter.

+ -1 moreOur automatic garage doors were giving us a lot of trouble: wobbling wildly when going up or down, reversing themselves, and sometimes jamming. We replaced the springs and greased the tracks ourselves, and even disconnected one door from the auto opener and used it manually, but none of that solved the problem so we called for professional service. Bridgewater Overhead Doors answered their phone right away (we had previously tried another company, got only voice mail, and never got a callback), and set up an appointment for two business days later. The serviceman arrived within the three-hour stated window, diagnosed the problem immediately, and told us the price to fix it. We agreed and he did the work right away. Everything works perfectly now, and we are well satisfied that we got good value for our money.
