BRIDGEWATER OVERHEAD DOORS

I got introduced to Adam of Bridgewater through my contractor who was consulting on preparing the garage for a new door. The old shed-type doors were a mess and needed to be replaced. Because of the low overhead clearance (due to the second floor), we originally thought we'd need to modify the front portion of the garage and remove the front 10-12 feet of the second floor to make room for the new door. Adam came in to consult on the installation. He seemed to know everything there was to know about garage door installation, particularly in non-routine situations. He advised that he thought he could fit a garage door in the existing space without modifying the garage extensively. He said he would built a model to validate his thoughts and later advised that it would work. He provided sample styles and colors; I went to their showroom to see the doors and decorative hardware in person--they carry many brands but Clopay seemed to fit our needs best. We ordered the mid-price custom-size door and special track system along with a high-quality opener. A few weeks later, their crew came out to install the new door & opener. They did a fabulous job of erecting and installing the door and opener. They had come fully prepared for any contingency, including if the overhead spring system wouldn't fit. They also brought 2 colors of trim so we could pick the one that looked best. In about 2 1/2 hours we had a beautiful new door that works great. They demonstrated all the features of the new opener (which includes battery backup), and care of the door.

Great! My system and door are 18+ yrs old and everything works like new. Repaired and/or replaced what needed to be done and added a much needed safety feature. Did not try to sell anything unnecessary - a big plus! The price was less than I had anticipated for the entire job. Service tech was friendly, courteous and competent (and didn't make fun of my really packed and disorganized garage, another plus in his favor!) Main office was responsive and courteous, even when I had to reschedule my original appt on short notice because of a family emergency. Definitely a company I will recommend to friends and neighbors.

It went great. The agent was knowledgeable, professional, experienced, and articulate. He was a likeable young man who did quality work and took honest pride in it.

We actually bought a Big Deal coupon for them to tune up the garage door but they said the garage door is too old and they need to put a new garage door in. Almost a year later the doors were not working. We called and someone came out and switched out the electrical panel which was under warranty. Everything has been working fine since. We were happy with their follow up service.

The service person arrived on time and did the maintenance. He explained to me what was needed and garage door is working much better now.

My garage door had a crack,the service person came and suggested a workaround so that I don't replace the entire door. He added additional reinforcement to the door. Now the door is fully functional, I hope this will restrict further cracking, Have to wait and see. Overall I am happy with the process . Will use them again.

Very pleased with this company. They were helpful and prompt. One of our garage doors went off track and they came the next day. Also checked 2nd door and did maintenance on both. Stayed to program a car remote for n/c.

Honestly felt I was overcharged for this. New rollers and "spring tune up" was being offered for $99 per door. They worked on my doors for approximately one hour. The door I was concerned about now opens each time it is closed by the car controller. We have to watch for this and close a second time before driving away. Learned this after returning to find the door wide open. Also, it is not fully aligned, which was what we were most concerned about. I mentioned I was on Angie's List when I first called them and when a gentleman came to give a quote he told me curtly that there was no discount for Angie's membership. After being billed a fairly large sum for what was clearly a small job, I re-checked Angies and saw the discounts on offer. Called and was put on the phone with the owner. He was not pleasant.Said the discount was only for the "spring tuneup and rollers" and not my type of job (which took one hour) and even when he admitted that the parts for what was done on my job were a fraction of the cost of new rollers. There are other vendors who offer garage door service in this area. Next time I will go with one of this group's competitors. i see all the positive reviews and suspect they were frustrated with me for not opting to just replace all three doors. I wish I'd put more time into getting quotes for this work. It was not done well and it cost a fair amount. This is a good lesson for me that no matter how busy I get with my own job and life, it is imperative to put the time into getting multiple quotes and going with your gut when an initial interaction has a bad vibe. In fairness, the "discount" was not on offer for what I needed for one door -- but the overall experience was not positive. The tone of the owner makes me unwilling to call them back and report the problem with the mechanism with one door that was clearly introduced by their work.

When we moved into our house, we knew eventually the garage door would have to be replaced. After the first year the old sensors went and we could no longer use the remotes. We finally decided to get a few estimates and see what we could afford. We thought we made a decision but the door and opener were not our ideal choice so we decided to schedule a last estimate with Bridgewater Overhead after seeing their buidling near the Christmas Tree Shop store. They came out within a few days based on our schedule. We discussed the other estimates we got and Bridgewater Overhead door was able to beat the estimate and give us the exact door and opener we wanted. Within four weeks, the door was delivered and installed. It could have been done sooner but we wanted to wait for a good day even though it ended snowing a little on day of install. The installer was professional and knew his job very well. After reviewing the work before the installer finished we both noticed a small dent in the bottom panel (small but noticeable). After discussing with the office staff, they credited us for the extra wifi gateway opener so we wouldn't need to wait weeks before the manufacturer would settle this issue. Overall, we were very happy with the service. We could have got a little more money from the manufacturer or it could have been less and the office wanted to make us happy and our decision was to resolve it quickly I would definately recommend them and use them again but hopefully we don't need a new opener or garage for many more years.

She was extremely knowlegable and very easy to work out details about job. We agreed on price based on great offer of $375 for new opener/rail/remotes etc.Scott arrived as scheduled the NEXT day. He did a very thorough inspection of old opener/springs/pulleys cables etc. He was so honest that when he finished ,he actually told me I really didn't need new opener.He said old one was fine and then pointed out a few other issues. I told him to replace old one anyway and also replace springs/4 rollers and all cables. For all the extra parts/labor it was only $100!! I would definitely recommend Bridgewater Doors and heavily recommend Scott!! He was very professional/knowledgeable and took the time program cars/remotes etc. Best of all he and Kathy never tried to sell me on another more expensive product!!

Earlier install of a new garage door opener could not have gone any smoother. The office staff promtly scheduled our appointment and all work was done as scheduled. Several months later they repaired a garage door opener for us. It took multiple visits for the work to be completed, since they initially did not have the correct parts and misdiagnosed the issue. Ultimately, the work was completed and done in a high quality manner.

When I was unable to open my garage door, I at first thought it was jammed, only to be told by another vendor than Bridgewater that one of my two tension springs had snapped. That vendor then proceeded to tell me that the screw in my garage door opener was also snapped and that I would need a whole new unit. That vendor's estimate - over $800. Sensing I was being sold a bill of goods, I checked AL and found Bridgewater, for whom I left an online message. They responded quickly, set up an appointment for the next morning. The technician showed up when promised, and was friendly and professional. He immediately agreed that the spring was broken and he initially agreed that the opener was broken too. He asked me what I was quoted on the spring and, when I misquoted what I had been told on the phone, he reminded me of the correct LOWER price. He then told me that to replace the motor and spring would be in the $400s (much less than the other vendor). I went upstairs and he got to work. When I came down, he was finished and told me that, in fact, the opener was salvageable. In other words, he was authorized to replace it and instead saved me money by fixing it. My total bill was $600 less than the other vendor in the end.

Bridgewater Overhead Doors provided an initial estimate over the phone, then sent someone to measure and get the other specifics (color, windows, etc.) and generate a quote. I decided to go ahead with the installation, which was scheduled about three weeks later after the doors were ordered and received by Bridgewater. Both the person who took the final measurements and the installer showed up on time. The installation was a little complicated, but took about as long as they said it would - one full day. The doors look great and operate smoothly and quietly. The installation was done carefully and all the wires cleanly dressed along the ceiling and walls. My property was treated with respect, even though the installer had to move a few small items that I had neglected to get out of his way. Everyone I dealt with at Bridgewater Overhead Doors - on the phone and on site - was very polite and professional. I am completely satisfied and would recommend them.

I went to Bridgewater Overhead Doors this morning based upon high rating on Angie's List....The store hours were clearly posted on their website. I drive the 25 miles with the intention of sealing the deal and making arrangements. When I got there the store was closed, and this was 35 minutes past their scheduled opening time. Another customer was waiting in the parking lot and stated he was there at 9:00 AM. I called their phone number and got voicemail. While I was there, another potential customer came into the parking lot, turned around and left. Bridgewater lost three potential customers in 35 minutes. While there may be some extenuating circumstances why they were not open, it was a waste of my time, and I will not contact them again. I'll go to another company for my two new doors with new openers....

The installer arrived and cpmmenced to take out the old doors, even though it was very cold. The installer was very proficient and a truly qualified tradesman. The job was completed and area cleaned up. The new doors are beautiful and the openers are almost noiseless when opening and closing the doors. I would recommend Bridgewater Overhead Doors to anyone considering replacing their garage doors. They do excellent work.

These guys reaffirmed to me that there are such people and good contractors. After seeing dozens who will take every shortcut and then never show up to fix it, these guys did a great job. Their price was inline with others. After further research, I saw that they were going install a superior product to what others were offering. They said it would take 2-3 weeks. Came after 1 1/2 week. When I called and said the lock was not installed on the door as discussed, they sent an individual over within 2 business days. A company I would be happy to hire again. Too bad they don't do more than just garage door installations.

Outstanding experience from start to finish. We needed to replace a single car garage door. I called the Company based on reviews on Angies List. The estimate was provided the same day. Installation was completed within 2 days. The Door looks great, price was reasonable and service was excellent. Highly recommend this provider and we plan on using them in the future

Phil, the co-founder, came to personally give me the estimates for replacing our two 17-year old 8x7 garage doors. I had previously researched by accessing sites like Home Depot and Lowes, which weren't "one-stop shops" in that you will need to purchase the doors and choose a contractor to install the new doors and dispose the old ones (may have an extra charge). My research helped in that I knew exactly the doors I wanted -- the Clopay White Long Panel with no windows. When Phil came with more competitive pricing, the deal and paperwork were completed in 30 minutes. The garage doors were installed 3 days later by Allan who did an excellent job and well within the time-frame prescribed.

I had Bridgewater Overhead Doors replace the rollers, pulleys and cables two years ago. So, when my 20+ year old garage door opener broke on Saturday, I went right to their store. They showed me which opener (Liftmaster) they would install and what the price included (which was everything). We made the appointment for Wednesday (my choice). The installer came on time, removed the old opener, installed the new one, helped me set up the keypard AND cleaned up everything. I am very happy with the work and the opener works better than my old one. In addition, the woman in the office called to tell me that they would submit a manufacturer's rebate for me. So, a few weeks later, I got a $50 rebate !!

Mike is AWESOME!! Such a sweetheart and VERY good at repairing garage doors. I wasn't able to open the door and he has it running perfectly!

The man I made the appt with was very helpful on the phone. The technician arrived promptly and replaced the rollers, springs, checked the cables and said they didn't need changing, and lubricated everything. He checked the motor as well and said that was also fine. He did not try to sell us an expensive "overhaul" as Precision had. The price was very reasonable for all the work he did. We will definitely call them when we want to replace the door. These are honest guys who just do the work and don't try to upsell. I'd recommend them to anybody. The door works better than it ever did before.
