Guy never showed up

The work was done and it was satisfactory. They said there was more work than what the Big Deal covered. I signed up for that, and spent around $400. The Big Deal was $129. I would call them for a quote. Upfront pricing would have been nice. They came out and said that they saw something much worse than just a simple fix. I think if they had offered a different package, I would have been much happier. Something like a $300 package, or something more comprehensive. Overall, I did get the done that I needed, so it's good.

It was perfect. They responded the same day that we called them. They came out the following day. They fixed the leak. They were very courteous and I was pleased with the service.

I contacted Larry on 3/1 and he was able to make it out the same day for an estimate. He did an exterior inspection of the roof and even climbed into our attic to inspect the exact point of water infiltration. It was really the "little" things which lead us to do the project with Larry. He made it a priority to come out to the house in a timely fashion, he called on his way to confirm his arrival time, he didn't guess at the shingle match but instead climbed to the roof and took a sample. He didn't simply advise to replace all of our ridge vents (when only one was causing an issue) and he agreed to check the attic, after another roofer told us it wasn't necessary. Very professional. Highly recommend !

Larry and his son (it's a family business) arrived on schedule. They replaced some damaged roof trim which has since stood up without a problem during the resent snow storm. They closed of a large opening where an air conditioner once penetrated an outside wall. And they closed off a cellar window that was allowing the weather in. All work was done quickly, quietly, and in good spirits - all up to professional standards. I would certainly hire Shore Points again.

Larry arrived promptly for our initial visit. He got back to me as promised with an estimate. His two sons worked with him. The jobs were done quickly and to my satisfaction. They were very professional and courteous. I would not hesitate to call Larry again in the future and would certainly pass his name along to friends and family.

I was charged extra $50 for steep roof which I paid on the spot. few spots were nailed down however nailed were not chucked and nothing else were sealed or chucked. After several reminder company send me a shady report via an email with no pictures as mentioned in the contract. I asked for several estimates however I only received estimate for repair and new roof. The guy who did the work had no life line and I was worried he might slip and fall. On the positive note, the repair guy showed up on time, seems knowledgeable, pointed out issues that I already knew and proposed acceptable repair and reasonable price to fix the issues.

It sucks and is frustrating. Why? This is because sites like these are very good when you dont have any place to go and dont have any local contractors quotes. Then the contractors here can skim you. Logic is very simple, take the money, come for inspection, look around, give a pricey quote and keep the work credit money as the buyer is stuck. I am so upset at these guys for fleecing and hustling money it makes me very very upset. I already put a stop payment on the bloody transaction. think about it, i do 10 inspections a day, give ridicuolous quotes, make 1400 dollars a day without doing any real work. Good luck. I will suggest to go for the local free estimates guy at least you are not stuck with the stupid work credit nonsense.

Larry got back to right away and accommodated my request for a particular day. When he arrived, he was pleasant and professional. He was very thorough and inspected my roof also. He even took pictures and sent them to me. I plan to use him in the future for other needs.

I was not satisfied. The service provider showed up without confirming the appointment with me. The front side gutters appeared to be cleaned but the ones on the rear were dirty and had debris still left on them.

Even though this was a very small job and I had not used Shore Points Carpentry before Larry went out of his way to take care of this for me. We rent our house during the summer and it was important that this was taken care of before our first rental. Larry fit me in on short notice and removed the dish and made the necessary patches to the roof.

I was very happy with the work. I knew going in if they performed the minor inspection package that I had originally contracted, I might use Shore Points for my garage roofing repair. I was guided through what had to be done in a professional manner and was given a potential price for the job which I eventually made in two installments. Any appointments made were responded to on time which I was grateful for. I have only nice things to say for this company. Thanks. .

The work was done so far no leaks. I thought $800 for 2 hrs was a bit much. I saw less then $100 dollars in material. My fault I should had more then 1 estamet.

Sealed flashing around 2 pipes on the roof. Provider advised me to wait 2 weeks to see if the seal is working. Provider advised he can also fix the ceiling in the kitchen where the leak occurred

He inspected the roof caulked around pipes and checked out all items on roof .

They cleaned the gutters thoroughly. Did exactly what they came to do. They were very responsive.

The job had to be rescheduled because of rain, but when there was a break in the weather they came right away and completed the work in about 2 hours. They cleaned up and I haven't had any more leaks. I would use these guys again for any roof issues or carpentry needs..They are pleasant people to work with.

Very methodical. From the time the deal was purchased till the receipt of the final report from Larry yesterday, it has been a smooth transaction. This was my first deal purchase from Angies and was a bit skeptical. The response from Larry was quick, a few questions on the number of storeys for the house, availability etc were asked and responded. Larry called before arrival with an ETA and arrived on time. He walked me through how he intends to get the job done. He identified some issues with the gutter and explained how it will be fixed. They cleaned up after their work and were very careful with some of the shrubbery around the house. Their final report identified some of the repairs / replacements to the pipes needed along with the cost estimates. The entire effort was professional done. I have added Shore Points Carpentry to my favorites. Will reach out for future projects.

Repairs and gutter-cleanout went well. Provider was knowledgeable, courteous, friendly and thorough.

Everything went very well. Larry gave us a fair price, showed up a few days later to do the work, and was finished in one day (worked a 12 hour day). He brought a small crew and was on the roof with them putting on the new roof. The fact that he was a carpenter was a huge benefit. The shed needed to have the doors repaired and adjusted. They were not only repaired but are better than when originally ordered (he reinforced all the wood in the door to make them more resistant to rough treatment.). I would highly recommend Larry and his crew to anyone looking for work.

It was an excellent experience!! Larry quickly responded to my message, followed with a visit for an estimate and true to his word, showed up on Monday. He explained what the job entailed and the benefits versus other options. They even showed up earlier than expected and started the job immediately. When I questioned some issues by other workers he graciously took the time to explain the pros and cons and costs and negatives versus benefits. This is a family business. Each man takes pride in their work and their interactions among each other are stellar. They cleaned up so you only saw the improvement in the roof and no telltale signs of all the labor. All debris was removed - right down to blowing the sawdust out of my garage!! If you need any roofing or carpentry work done....do not hesitate to contact them. They are conscientious professionals who take pride in their work and go above and beyond to build client relationships. They are excellent examples of businessmen who exude ethics and integrity. I would highly recommend them and would call on them when needed in the future. It was a pleasure to have Larry and his sons in my home. I am confident the job was done correctly, priced fairly and that they went above and beyond to do extras that made the difference!

About this time last year Larry and his crew repaired/replaced the roof on our 100+ year-old house at the Jersey shore. We had no idea what we'd find after Sandy hit. While a stretch of the boardwalk ended up on our front lawn (3 blocks in from the beach), the great news is that NOT ONE SHINGLE WAS LOST from the roof, the porch, or the garage. I'm now using Shore Points again to replace some aluminum flashing that was ripped away by a falling tree and a piece of soffit that blew off another part of the house. I think the best part is that I don't have to worry about how the work will be done -- I've received high quality services at reasonable prices.

Larry (the owner) was very responsive and helpful from estimate through completion of the job. He answered all my questions and explained in detail the options available and the reasons behind the recommendations he made. Communication was easy and never a problem. Shore Points has a dedicated crew that is apparently very accustomed to working together (I saw no day workers or subcontractors). They treated my house as if it were their own. The roof, porch, turret, and garage were well done and look great.
