The light switch in the powder room stopped working. It was determined that the connections on both switches were bad. The service call went well.

I had an estimate for work to be done in the future. I will most likely use him. He was prompt, courteous, provided questions to me that I hadn't though of and was able to tell me what work I did not need to have completed and what would save me money in the end.

My husband made the phone call and got an immediate response from the owner. The owner's son serviced our house. He was prompt, helpful, and very professional. We received quick service as we needed this done in order to sell our home. Their price was MUCH lower than the other quote we received from another local electrician. They were able to schedule us sooner and, in addition, gave us some good advice which, in turn, saved us some money. Highly recommend! We are going to use them for our new home.

I had to follow up and call twice, bit after that, I got immediate attention. (The owner of the business later told me that he sometimes wrote down phone messages and pieces of paper and misplace them. So, DON'T give up....call again.) They had a cancellation and were able to come out two days after I had spoken to them. They arrived when they said they would!!! They assessed the situation and gave me an estimate which proved true!!! They went to purchase the timers, returned and installed them. During the installation, they were very thorough, making sure that I would be able to use both switches (there are two for each set of lights). They were professional, pleasant, knowledgeable, and efficient. I would definitely use them again. I highly recommend them.

He offered good advice about how to keep them without annoying problems in the future, how often to change etc. Who knew they should be vacuumed every year, especially with all the oak pollen around my house? Cost less than his phone estimate, took about an hour. Fit me in a very busy week because he felt smoke alarms are important. I would definitely use them again.

They returned our call promptly, arrived when they said they would and did very good work.

So far, so good. I wasn't the one that was there, my husband took care of it. He said he liked them because they came out promptly.

I am giving Ruban Electric a review on returning phone calls, something the other electricians in the area don't seem to want to do.I called and left a message to get an estimate for some electrical work that needed to be done ASAP. Ruban called back the next day and explained that they are swamped with housholds still dealing with Hurricane Sandy damage and would not be able to even make a visit to my house for at least a month. I totally understand this situation and appreciate that they returned my phone call to explain this to me. I will try them again in the future if I ever need electrical work done at my house. I called over 10 other local electricians and not one of them have returned my phone call - unprofessional and unacceptable!

I left a message on Sunday and the owner returned my call early Monday morning (which was a holiday). He made arrangements with me to come out within the hour. He allowed me time to go pick out the items I wanted, then came over to install them. He was very helpful, was prompt and professional. I would gladly use his services again.

I would recommend him for others. Was punctual and professional.

He has just been so nice. Everything he has said he was going to do on the dates and times, he has done it. He got the generator a lot cheaper from the manufacturer for me. He has been very thorough, he checked everything out. He went and applied for all of the permits. He will be installing it in January.

I first hired Ruban Electric to install overhead lights and electrical fans where there were none. The work was done in 2-3 hours. I was so satisfied that I then contracted with him to work on and repair other ceiling fans in the house. He was able to replace parts of a motor on one fan but not the other, because the motor had burned out and could not be replaced. I then brought him back to help me correct erratic exterior wiring in the front and back to outlets and exterior lights. He was able to trace and explain what was wired/connected to what, correct the problems, and fix my front pole lamp. He also advised me that wiring that had been done by another contractor in my garage was not up to code and presented a potential fire hazard and to seek correction by that contractor, which I was subsequently able to do.

I called Ruban Electric and left a message. Within 15 minutes they returned the call. We setup an appointment for them to install new wiring and outlet for a washer dryer unit in a down stairs location. They were at my door exactly at 8:30am when promised to start the job. This required running a line from one end of the house to another, through a basement and tight crawl space an coming up through the wall at the far end of the house. They also disconnected old baseboard heating in four rooms as well as placing heavier circuit breakers in the electrical box. Not the easiest job. All work was completed in a timely manner. A father & son team that are courteous, friendly and professional. I've found an electrician that I can trust! Highly recommended. Len Fedullo

Dale arrived as scheduled for an estimate on 9/14/11. Once I accepted the estimate, work began the very next day (9/15/11). Dale arrived on time and completed the work. He answered all questions in detail and was very professional.

Dale and DJ arrived right at 9:00 as scheduled. I showed them my needs and concerns; they gave me an estimate, and I asked them to do the work. They then went right to work, checking in with me each time they ran into questions or decisions that needed to be made. They took a brief break for lunch and finished around 2:30.

They provided a free estimate which I compared with another electrician service. Their price was cheaper and they were local to the community so I chose them. Service was done promptly and completed correctly. There was a problem with one of the fans squeeking which they brought to my attention after troubleshooting. They diagnosed the problem to be with the fan itself and not the installation. They were absolutely correct because I bought another fan and switched out the motor and it worked. I returned the original defective fan for a refund.

They were great. I called at 7:30am today and by 8am i was making an appointment for them to come over at 9am! They were very prompt, very polite and very thorough explaining what they found and how they were going to fix it for us. They also made notes on our invoice stating other problems/issues they found so that we were made aware of what was going on with regard to our electrical panel and wiring. Very responsive and extremely nice. We found our NEW electricians and will definitely be calling them back!

Dale was early which was nice. The job took him about 90 minutes. He was professional and pleasant. The job was priced out before he did the work. If we had other electrical issues I would not hesitate to call him again. We used another electrician but despite 2 phone calls they were never returned so Ruban Electric is apparently our new electicians.

I spent about $100 on that work, but it turned out that it was the switch that was turner off to the heater by someone. He was very good and was thorough and checked everything. He checked everything all the way up to the outlet and it was very good and at least you know all the wires are in good shape. He returned my call right away and came right out on a Saturday morning and I think he called that night and was out the next morning.

What can I say about Dale and his son DJ. Very professional! Showed up when they said, worked well together and completed work quickly. Sharon, my contact at the office, was so nice, she treated me as if we had known each other for years. Contractors, like these people are very rare these days (unfortunately). I am almost finished with my kitchen remodel, and am very happy I worked with Dale, DJ and Sharon. I have other work to be done in the future and would without a doubt hire Ruban Electric again.
