I called Ned Stevens Gutter Cleaning on a Thursday to request service. It was nice that I was connected immediately to a customer service person. I spoke with Taurean who was fantastic in that he clearly outlined what Ned Stevens as part of gutter cleaning. He found a satellite image of my house, talked to me about the square footage and quoted me on the phone, backed up by an immediate email quote. While the quote was about $10 higher than I had expected; he also noted that he could get service technicians to us in a 3 day window and this suited us just fine. Taurean also offered us a subscription program for gutter cleaning wherein they would come at regular intervals to service our house. This seemed like a good idea, however I wanted to wait until I was satisfied with the first cleaning. I would like to note also that the email quote on the subscription service was immediate as well. It is nice not to have to wait. The service technicians arrived at 9am on Saturday morning and immediately set to work. In no time ladders were up on our roof and they used pressurized water to clean out the gutters and downspouts. One team member came down to tell us about a concern with some old gutter guards and we asked that they be removed - they happily did so. The team of two clean up the debris satisfactorily when they were done and there was a lot of it. Upon finishing the service, they left us an invoice and thanked us for having them come.

They came earlier than expected. I placed order on Wed. late afternoon and from the conversation expected them early the next week (when I would be home) They came the next morning. I identified two problems (one which I considered a safety issue - the electric wires coming in from the street were laying on the elbow of the downspout). I called that afternoon to report the problems (Thursday). They showed up before 8 am. on Monday morning and fixed to my satisfaction. All in all they did a good job, but I thought I would be there when the installation occurred - this is what happens when one person takes your order and then sends a crew to do the work . (A problem across all services types I have ever hired)

I like that I can call them, and they will come within a day or two. I don’t have any way to compare their price with others. I don’t like that they try to get me to sign up for a contract where they clean the gutters three or four times a year, and I only want them cleaned twice; however, I asked them to stop calling me about that, and they have. I would rate them highly and would use them again in the future.

Sprayed water through open window on last visit - wife complained to workmen. Otherwise have done adequate job.

It turned out very well. They have done a good job. They cleaned up after themselves. They do what they are supposed to. The only thing that is a left is a little water and a bag with all they cleaned, sitting on the curb.

They are great. They are very professional and know what they are doing. They are polite. They knock on the door to let you know they are working outside. They do their business and leave their receipt on the door. Everything we have done with them has been very satisfactory.

There is no personal contact -- all you deal with is the answering machine. They gave no notice of when they were going to arrive. The work was incomplete and they left mud and muck from the gutters splattered on the side of the house. They were also highly priced.

Called for estimate and got a live person on the phone who could give me an immediate quote. Price seemed high, but they do offer the guarantee that they'll redo the gutters if they're not cleaned properly. This company is very well organized and professional in responsiveness. I did not use them because the price was high.

Two men arrived on time and identified themselves. I told them I don't have water available at the front of the house. They provided a hose to run over the roof and connect at the back of the house; then proceeded to completely clear the gutter. Before leaving, they cleaned up perfectly. I will definitely use this service again.

I have had Ned Stevens contract to clean my gutters for a number of years. I like not having to call for service and not having to be home. They are always clean, placing refuse bags on the sidewalk for trash pick-up. I renewed my contract again this year, in part, due to reviews and Angie's List and the company's responses to the reviews. While I understand the insurance costs, I think my first contract had 5 cleanings and now the platinum only has 4. Liked the 5, but can't really afford the 6 of the diamond plan.

They have always done a very good job. They come out in the spring and fall to clean our gutters. Their customer service is very good and the service is provided (weather permitting) in a reasonable time frame. They generally leave the yard very clean as well.

I called for an estimate and was given one immediately over the phone. I opted to sign up for the service plan - 4 times/year. They came out the day after I called and have been back one additional time. I have not personally met anyone from the company which could be viewed as a negative. But as a busy working mom, I really appreciated how easy they have made this. I signed up over the phone ( with a very knowledgeable and friendly woman), paid by credit card, receive a receipt on the front door when they've been out. I've also sent my husband up on the ladder to check the job they did. The gutters are spotless and the only evidence they were there is the receipt hanging on the door. One all the snow melts, we'll be getting an estimate for an underground drain for our sump pump.

They came the first time and charged me $65 and then they said it would be $95 a year later. Also, they left the gate open and the dog got out. Also, all the debris was left in the flower beds and lawn.

Scheduling was easy and the crew arrived for work without me having to be at home. However, they only performed the work for the gutters and downspouts on the house, failing to clean that of the garage. In addition, they did not complete one of the downspouts because the obstructions in the downspout were in the section that outflows to the sewer. When I contacted them about the service and to let them know that they had not cleaned the gutter on the garage, they spent a lot of time trying to sell me additional services, including a $150 cleaning of the underground portion of the downspout mentioned above. After a great deal of haggling, they came back out to complete the work on the garage. However, they then billed me separately for the service, including the basic charge ($25, I think) for a visit even though the visit was to complete a previous job (for which I had already paid this fee). While the work was satisfactory, the administration was inattentive.

He does great work they clean up well. He is reliable and I will continue to use him.

I had initially made an appointment with Ned for gutter cleaning. Then, I called another company and got a much better deal. I liked them better. Hence, I called back Ned to cancel my appointment with him. Well, they showed up to do the work anyway. I wound up using them for my gutter cleaning. They charged me more than they had estimated though, tried to sell me on an annual service plan which I did not want, and I just thought they were pretty pushy and abrasive. I would give my business to the other company I had spoken with in the future. I like their mannerisms and sales techniques better to be honest.

I think its great that Ned offers a package deal for those of us who worry about their gutters. I think Ned did a great job. HE was quite respectful. He was intelligent too. HE informed me of what he was doing. I Think his prices were fair. He was a gentlemen. I would tell others he deserves only the highest marks on Angie's List. I also wish to reveal that for the work Ned did for me, a permit was required. I am proud to announce I just the other day received a certificate that everything passed inspection thanks to Ned's great work.

Could not view exactly what they did with the leaves in the gutter. They were supposed to be bagged and removed but it appeared that they were washed down the gutters. They charged us for doing the garage when we specifically asked them NOT to do the garage, and we observed that they really did not do the garage. They also sent a bill for follow up service that we never requested and told them not to come back again. They then made another follow-up phone call soliciting more services when I told them specifically never to call again.

Ned Stevens came out to the house and performed the cleaning of the rain gutters and down spouts. They collected all the trash and placed it out at the curb for trash collection. They also reattached any loose gutters and down spouts. I was very pleased with their services.
