SavATree Basking Ridge wasn't able to save my dying tree. They were very good. They did what they could.

We used them because we previously used them. Our experience with them went well. We liked their price, and they were easy to deal with.

They were the ones who had the time and the ability to remove five trees from our yard. We used Angie's list to find them and they had a bunch of good reviews. They did the job on time and did it fine.

Their work was good and clean. In addition, they were flexible with their schedule.

Terrible I bought coupons with from Angie's List to use for tree work, There were no restrictions for use. I called many times to have someone come over and give me a quote on different areas It took weeks until they came by. I then found out my neighbor contracted with them to do a different job on both of our properties. Savatree did not verify with me whether I was aware or approved of the work. Nor did they contact me to see if it was ok to perform the work on my property. When my neighbor emailed me that they did work,I called to inform them that I wanted to use the coupons that I bought to pay the bill, and they said that since the work was contracted by my neighbor they would not honor it. I am surprised that even though they trespassed on my property,and performed work without my permission, they would not honor it. They also said they had a back log and would not be able to honor coupons within the time frame. This is not a firm I would recommend.

The tree seemed ok until now, as it is losing the battle and will probably have to take it down, They did treat the tree promptly, but maybe it was too late to save it. That is not a reflection on them. The rep seemed knowledgeable and professional. I almost hired them for the take-down, but got a slightly better price from another vendor.

It went even better than I expected because this company is staffed by professionals who take their work seriously.

It is too early to report on improvement.

I received prompt call backs, Ryan came to give me estimates in timely manner, calling to alert me that he would be delayed and by how long. The estimate was very reasonable and the work well done. I would ask them back without hesitation.

Our lawn had severe drought damage and after these 2 treatments it's already looking much better. We're very happy with the services so far.

It's rare that I write reviews......of any kind. However, the service performed was fantastic and they deserve a review. I had been putting off having my trees pruned for about a year. I just didn't want to deal with the pain of having to deal with the typical high pricing for these type of services and the "up sell" . But, I couldn't put the pruning off any longer........so I called SavaTree in Basking Ridge. A very professional and courteous Jeff Calvert made an appointment with me and he showed up the exact day and time he said he would. He actually called me one hour before the promised time just to make sure I was home. I was amazed. When was the last time a service provider kept an appointment on the day and time promised? Anyway, I walked around the yard with Jeff and showed him what I wanted to have done. He made suggestions which I welcomed. There was no pressure of any kind ....... The day the work was performed two very professional and competent young men asked me to walk around to make sure what they were going to do was exactly the way Jeff had described the work to be done. Again, I was amazed. When they were done they asked me to once again walk with them to make sure the work was done to my satisfaction. And of course it was. There was absolutely no evidence that anyone had been working in my yard. They cleaned up the yard better than when they arrived. Jeff even stopped over the next day to make sure everything was done as promised. While he was there, I asked him about some concerns I had with a few trees and shrubs that I thought hadn't weathered the summer so far. He recommended a fall fertilization treatment. That treatment was performed today and I'm sure I'll be satisfied next Spring with the results. I must also say the office personnel were just as professional and courteous as Jeff.

The work happened in stages: first pruning of some trees and cutting the trunk of a tree that was destroyed in the 2011 October snow storm. Second, grinding of the remainder of the trunk and roots. Before the grinding started, the company pointed out that it could result in cut sprinkler lines. Right after the work, they called to tell how it went and that the lines had indeed be cut. At the end, there was a dispute about the removal of grindings. The company handled it professionally and eventually to my full satisfaction.

It turned out well. I was pleased. I appreciated working with them and liked the work they did for me.

Their service went very well. They cleaned up the property pretty well when they were done. They did a good job. They stuck to the estimate that I was given. They were supposed to call and tell me what day they were going to come, but they had a cancelation in my area so they showed up unexpectantly. I was okay with them doing that.

Everything went well. They were very good and very nice.

I've used Sav-A-Tree a few times in 2011, and have generally been pleased by the work. Taking down dead/rotting trees, tree-feeding, tick-spraying. The prices seem high, but they deliver what they promise.

I used tho s company for 3-4 seasons. They were very good, but terrifically expensive and pushy.

They did a good job job cleaning up and with the tree itself. They cut the branches to the trunk of the tree. They did a real nice job. They did well on the price for us. They were the least expensive out of all the places we called. They were really professional and came when they said they would. They called us and let us know in advance when they were going to come.

Savatree did an excellent job and was very professional. The job went smoothly from start to finish. The only issue was their availability as they had other jobs ahead of ours.

Overall, I would hire them again, just make them come back to clean up if it does not meet my standards.

They were great. It was awesome. The guy was so nice and they really do intend to save every tree. He said that it was a 10 on a scale of 1 to 10 for a hazard and it could fall down. He explained everything and why it needed to come down. He said that they normally want to save every tree but they had to take it down. They saved us a little money by having another guy come to get it so we waited a couple of days for him to come and get it after they took it down. We got a really good deal. I asked my father and he said that the price was fantastic. They did more than we expected them to do and it cost a lot less. We would definitely use them in the future. They were very professional and we dealt with Steve. He came and looked at it to give us an assessment. He came back out even though he doesn't do the work to make sure the crew was all there. They were extremely professional. They were right on time. The whole thing went very fast. We had some idea of the price because we had someone else look at it.

Generally, the experience was good if a bit pricey. Jason, the operations manager, seemed very knowledgeable about tree health, and I was pleased when he recommended NOT cutting down a damaged tree that still did provide a good deal of shade for our patio. After accepting their bid, trying to schedule was somewhat problematic, as we were not always kept informed as to what was happening. (The work was done in about a month.) I do understand that we were a smallish job and weather can wreak havoc with the schedules for this type of work, but I did feel that we could have been better informed. The work itself went smoothly, the clean up was fine. What surprised me a bit was that all of the trimming was done from what could be reached by climbing up the basic trunk. Outlying branch ends that in a couple of years may be growing too close to the house were not touched (they couldn't be reached if there was any intent to trim them). In the end, relatively few branches were actually cut (at least from what I thought would be), but I can't tell if this was not good practice; perhaps past, more extensive trimmings by other companies were actually more damaging than helpful.
