SavATree Basking Ridge

I had used them before. The price was reasonable. I am in a situation to where I would never need to use them again.

Actually very positive. We had a couple of companies come in, and we felt we got the most value information from SavATree. We reached out, and have an ongoing contract with them. I feel that there are a lot of companies who just want to cut the trees down, instead of saving them.

Lousy! The estimate was for two days worth of work. They got here on time at 8:00AM, and they sneaked out before 3:00 PM on day 1. One guy did a nice job pruning a couple trees. The other guy took a hedge trimmer and chewed up all of my shrubs. I should have been billed for half the estimated price at most. But, instead, the owner said that his bill is based on the work performed regardless of poor quality and estimating twice as much time & resources than what were actually used. So, poor quality work in a shorter time-frame than estimated/billed equals never again!!!

Provider wanted a deposit before any work would be performed. I told him I do not do business that way and I was told that was company policy. I will never use this vendor.

We didn't care for it because it was actually a teaser. SavATree came and wanted to sell us a whole lot more in the way of services and were trying to convince us that what we purchased wasn't nearly enough. We just said, "Forget it." We kept it to $75 and declined any other additional services they said was necessary. They showed up on time.

It was ok. I feel that these big deals only push the vendor to add-on more services. and Vendor did not know about it own big deal so I had to explain most of it.

Called for an estimate. Rude lady picked up and hung up on me. Don't waste your time dealing with this shop. There are tons of other more courteous, dignified and professional places. They should fire the lady who answers the phone and focus on being more respectful of customers.

Very responsive and professional. Their arborist Doug Bocchino is very personable and a pleasure to work with. Job was impeccable and reasonably priced.

We had them come and trim trees in our backyard. The work done was not noticeable as they wanted to leave it looking "natural". For the money we paid we had them come back and cut more. Still not enough of a haircut. This spring a tree split in two due to heavy limbs. Called another tree service who said "this should have been trimmed back." Won't use these guys again.

They talked to me about what I wanted fertilized. We discussed the condition of various trees on the property. They took care of it all and the trees that they did fertilize were much more healthy looking this year.

The fellows who came to do the job were very good. There were 2 guys and 2 trucks and they did a nice job. They did a good job. I thought the price was a little high. Quality of service was excellent.

They were fine. They were extremely professional, and extremely neat. It was an excellent price. We had several estimates from others, and I was very surprised at how low their estimate was.

We have used them for 5 years. They are very knowledgable and always show up on time. Definitely worth the money.

Overall a good company, the people are nice and responsive.

The estimate was quick but not very detailed or accurate so that there was a large gap in what I thought would be included. The workers and the foreman were competent but not very thorough or efficient.. A 30 minute break and 30 minutes to get the chipper going was excessive. The representative from the company was not very helpful and the billing department was totally incompetent about Angies list coupons.

They were late to respond to my purchase of Angie's List deal. In fact, they did not get in touch with me for a week and then I called them myself. After that, things went well. No issues with the job actually done. I would use them again.

I paid $140 for $300 services. I wanted a tree top that had broken off during a storm cut down. They said my amount paid wouldn't cover their gas. I don't know why they even had me wait home for the estimate. They knew where I lived, about 25 miles from them.

Bought a big deal not knowing that Save-a-tree has many regional offices. I called the office we had bought the bid deal for and they said we were in the area of an office that was closer. I called the closer office and they agreed to honor the big deal. The sales person (Jodi) was out very quickly, was super pleasant and provided a great price even before taking the big deal off the total. It was busy season, so we had to wait in line for 1 month for service, but agreed to fill a short notice slot if one came up. When we did get to the top of their list, they got in touch. Impressively, our original sales person was on vacation but his back-up was already familiar with the work to be done at our house having apparently visited with our original sales guy just before his vacation. The work was all completed in half a day, cleaned up perfectly and we hardly noticed they were there. They do not use any big cranes, or spiked shoes. Good price, communication was proactive on their part and very happy with the results. I will keep them as our tree service company going forward.

They have great customer service. They were very responsive. They manage our tree and lawn treatments.

It was okay, it's just that there were some issues that he missed and didn't include. There was a dead tree and he didn't remove it.

I was satisfied with most of the work. that said, the repair of the storm damaged tree I didn't feel was adequate and I informed Jeff of that and he basically told me tough luck. additionally "someone" ran over and destroyed one of my driveway marker lights and suffice it to say because I didn't have video of them actually doing it, they told me to pound salt (i'm beyond fairly certain they did it but debating stuff like this is a waste of time when the other party is intent on denying it). I was mainly put-off by the "f.u. attitude" regarding my concerns, although they said "f.u." to me about as nicely as it can be said. i'm more disappointed and let down than mad, but savatree certainly won't be getting an opportunity to disappoint me again...

Extremely well-on time, very efficient and clean up was excellent. Foreman of crew even made suggestion to my daughter(the homeowner) regarding one tree that was absolutely correct. I would not hesitate 2 call on them again but also would refer them without any hesitation.In addition? from the office staff to the field staff ?I was met with true professionalism consistently???a rarity in today?s world??????

The estimate was high and when I inquired as to why it was so high they explained that it cost $350 to get the crew to our house. I contacted a local contractor and got a quote $400 less so I went with them instead. When I went back to Sav-a Tree and asked about the money I had already spent on the deal of the day they agreed to refund the money hassle-free. It was a relief to be able to deal with a reputable company that wants to do the right thing.

Called Sav a Lawn to get an estimate our lawn fertilized. We agreed on a day and time for the salesman to come to our house. The date and time came and went. 45 min. after the schedule time we get a phone call the guy is running late he would be there in 30 min. We said no problem. Well, 30 min came and went and still no show. Get another call now from the salesman, he would be there in an hour, if thats ok. We agreed with now my husband delaying going to work. Within the hour he finally arrives. He apologizes for being late and gave us a 30% discount. When we signed up we were told the guy would be here by the end of the following week. Now its been over 3 weeks and still nothing. My husband saw the service guy in our town and asked him if he was doing our address and he said 'No." So this morning we called them up and told them to forget it , you are over 2 weeks late on your promise and now we are not interested. And do not call us any more and you can see our response on ANGIES LIST ]

It's hard to write a review other than what I see what was done. There was some miscommunication with Jeff about the crew showing up due to weather and I didn't see how the crew worked. I wanted to be onsite for a couple reasons, neighbors nanny wasn't comfortable etc. I won't focus on those details in this review just be extra clear with Jeff (if you get him) on how you want the workd done and don't rely on email, as I did. They did try to make it right by offering me up some additional pruning at no charge, which I though was fine but I have no real need for that. The work was solid! The tree was pruned wonderfully with no mess left. The stumps were removed as I expected. For those who haven't had stumps ground out they leave a pile of ground up tree that isn't like wood chips. Jeff was good about making sure that is what I expected when onsite, so kudos. The removal of the tree in front had electrical wires, cable wires entangled and had zero problems with them since the removal. So yeah, everything looks good and as expected, would hire them again for tree work but would also take it upon myself to be extra clear when confirming things.
