 + 2 moreI found GOIAS Home Improvements on Angie's List. I contacted Gil and he came out right away. I explained to him what I had wanted done. He emailed me an estimate that same night. The price was fair so I hired him for the job. His workers arrived on the day/time he said they would. They were very professional and did an excellent job. They kept the work area very neat and even cleaned up everything when they were done. They even wiped down the aluminum siding after they re-hung it! I am very impressed with the work of GOIAS Home Improvements and I will definately be hiring them to do more work in the future.
Description of Work: Door was installed onto the back of garage. A hole had to be cut through the wall to the exterior of the house. Door was then framed. House has aluminum siding, so this had to be removed then re-installed. A small (3' x 4') concrete platform was then added to the back of the house where the door opening had been created.

 + 1 moreThe bathroom came out beautifully. The painting came out very nicely also, the closet was done quickly and professionally. Gil takes pride in his work and always showed up when he said he would, which was pretty much every day for several weeks. If anything, we had to ask him not to come on the weekends sometimes so we could have some relaxing family time (I have a newborn). I did not ever worry about leaving anything out or trusting him, he and his crew were very trustworthy. The pricing on the painting was pretty much market, but I believe his pricing for the bathroom remodel was excellent compared to others and he did great work and made some helpful suggestions. There was an issue with hooking up the plumbing, but he got someone in right away and fixed the problem at no additional charge. We are thinking about getting a new deck and fence in the next year and would use him again.
Description of Work: We did a full bathroom remodel and installed a new pebble floor dual shower with new tiles, new floor and new vanity and pocket door. We also made a closet in the bedroom and had him paint the interior of the house and all of the trim.

He promptly provided a detailed quotation. The pricing was fair and I gave him the job. The work was done as Gil had told me it would, and completed on time. The house looked beautiful when completed, just amazing! Gil and his workers always acted professional and worked neatly. Gil always addressed any concerns I had. I thought the original price that I was given was very fair and the few additions I made to the contract, were priced fairly too. I recommend Goias Home Improvement wholeheartedly!
Description of Work: Goias did a general renovation of my Fathers house. This included exterior and interior painting, sheet rock repair, tiling, repairing soffits and gutters, replacing rotted trim pieces, pressure washing and other miscellaneous repair work.

They showed up at the scheduled time, removed the previously installed attic ladder and replaced it with a new one. They re-framed the opening, installed the ladder and repaired the ceiling. Gil paid great attention to every detail and his work was meticulous. The entire work area was covered and the house was left spotless. I have attached new pictures of the job. My wife was very concerned about how they were going to treat our furniture and decorations. She was ecstatic to see that they carefully moved and covered all of our possessions, returned them to their original location, and did a good job cleaning up the work area. The team even helped us relocate some heavy furniture from the second floor office to the new basement office. I would highly recommend this company.

Description of Work: The original interior staircase of our home was completely cut-up, removed & hauled away by G & G Stairs of Howell, NJ. G & G then did a beautiful job of installing a new one constructed of a combination of red oak & teak woods, complete with new hand-rail, balusters, etc. We needed a contractor with the skills to do the detailed painting, staining & polyurethane application that would do justice to such a professionally done installation of hardwoods. We contacted Gil Ricardo of Goias Home Improvement to provide us with an estimate on the finish work, after finding Goias on Angie's List. Gil arrived on time & gave us a fair & reasonable estimate. His painter Ed, arrived on time each day, as promised, and had the skills of a craftsman with a paint brush. His painstaking attention to detail on the prep-work alone was most impressive. He spent an entire day (eight hours!) scraping all surfaces with a hand tool before he ever applied a drop of paint or stain! Ed cleaned up after himself after each day's work & completed the work in a reasonable time frame. He worked around us as we continued about our lives, going up & down the stairs.

I was unable to be present for a good majority of the work and I felt comfortable with them in my apartment alone. They always kept their word and really came through for me. I will definitely continue to use them as needed!
Description of Work: He gutted two bathrooms and installed new tile flooring in the kitchen, living room and bathrooms. This also included painting, plumbing, and electrical work.

This was very helpful as we were able to take some of the money from the budget and make other improvements to the house that we did not think we could afford. The crew was always on time and they made every effort to listen to our needs and make suggestions that resulted in a better deck design and look. Everyone who visits our house is very impressed with our deck and we now spend a lot more time on the deck than we ever imagined.
Description of Work: Our wood deck was old, rotten and needed to be replaced. Gil Ricardo from Gioa's Home Improvement took on the job from start to finish with great results. We now have a brand new deck and are very happy.

He sub-contracted the installation of the linoleum floor and handled all the details to get the job done. The windows needed re-glazing (the material that holds the windows in place from the outside). My landlord presented me with an estimate for the work and it was very expensive. I asked Gil Ricardo from Goia's to quote the job and it came back much more reasonable. The work was done on schedule and the windows look great. Even my landlord is happy.
