Description of Work: They tried to overcharge me a lot of money when my water heater was under warranty. They did not want to show me the bill and what was written on it before I signed it. Good thing I looked at it because they had listed the replacement part and WERE TRYING TO CHARGE ME FOR IT. I was under warranty so it shouldn't have cost anything. I had an argument with the person.

Description of Work: There was a leak under the kitchen sink which had to do with the sprayer. They had the part on the truck (thank goodness) and were able to make repairs quickly.

Description of Work: I had a dripping connection between a "plastic" hot water pipe and the copper pipe that goes to my washing machine. The plumber fixed it in a matter of minutes using a special crimping tool. and then told me that the mimimum charge is $130.00 for one hour. I wasn't happy with that. Since I just bought this house, he did take the time to look at the pressure tank for my well water and to look at my gas water heater. So, I did get some good advice under the steep hourly charge. In the future I will make every effort to use the fairer priced local plumber when I can get hold of him. Simmons Plumbing is easy to contact, easy to schedule on short notice and the plumber showed up at the appointed time. A great back up resource for emergencies. Just too pricey.

Description of Work: I hired Simmons for a second year to clean my boiler. The service cost more the second year then the first which I now know was also high. They try to sell you extra sevices and items that you don't need and upon inquiring with other oil repair people, discovered they were 1 to 1 1/2 times more expensive then other companies. My boiler failed shortly after the cleaning and I had to call them back to repair it. I had to insist that it was at no charge as this should have been taken care of when they cleaned it. another two weeks went by and the furnace was down again. They wanted to charge me $165.00 I believe or two hours labor just to come out and look at it and then I would have to negotiate with management as to wether I get any of that back if they decern it was their fault. I told them don't bother and called an independent contractor who called me back immediately (which Simmons did not do) just have Simmons come to look at and knew the problem before he even got out of his truck. He charged me what it would have cost me the other contractor who I now use, said they had the wrong nozzle on blower. And the cleaning was inferior from Simmons and they were there for two hours. I also know they over charge for their plumbing services also by alot I would not use them. Find another better company. Do your homework...
