The unit seems to run okay and cools the house. It is not as quiet as we were used to in our other home. The job was expensive but we were in a hurry and the company was able to accommodate that request.

As a mechanical engineer, I can be an HVAC professionals worst nightmare. In particular, I question everything and need to verify everything. Case in point, I got 5 quotes for installing central A/C into my two story home when most people would go with 3. I can also be tough to convince if something is done that does not make sense and I am very particular about the service I am getting. So with that said, I have to say that the level of customer care, intelligent installation, quality of work, integrity and value for money that I received from McGinley and Son's was unsurpassed and just outstanding. Bill McGinley was a pleasure to work with. He gave me an exceptionally fair and competitive quote, always kept me up-to-date on things and went above and beyond call when, during mid-installation, I decided to change from straight A/C to a heat pump. He also offered some very good advice on SEER values (I know...because I validated the savings) when he could have tried to swing me into a more expensive unit. Mike McGinley (the son) did a very smart and clean installation job. The way he approached the job just made sense and how he laid out the duct work in the basement was actually pretty cool (no pun intended). The rest of the crew was also very nice and they did work hard (no complaints about being in a hot attic moving blown in insulation around to get the job done....I would have expected a few choice words from doing that disgusting job but they were professional). They showed up every day at the same time...you could set your clock by them. Overall, I enthusiastically recommend McGinley & Sons if you are thinking about installing A/C or a heat pump into your residence.

Very nice people family owned. They were ther on time and cleaned everything up. Will be keeping them for my cleaning of my heating system.

When I decided to replace my 23 year old furnace, A/C system and hot water heater I got a number of names from Home Advisor for companies in my area that would do this kind of work. After reading the reviews I selected 4 of them, including McGinley and Sons to get quotes. I called Bill McGinley, the owner, numerous times to get additional information about the equipment and work being quoted and never had a problem reaching him. Ultimately McGinley and Sons was substantially less than the lowest of the other 3. I asked Bill how he could do the work for so much less and he said that is because his a family owned and manned business with a lot less overhead than the others. So I gambled on McGinley and Sons and was not disappointed. They came a little late on the first day but didn't leave until the old furnace was removed and the new one installed. A 4 man team, led by his Bill's son Mike McGinley, came the second day to install the new hot water heater and the A/C system. When they left the furnace area had been wept clean and all trash removed. I later discovered that the humidifier had been wired differently than originally so called Bill to have them come back and wire it the way I wanted it. Again, I had no trouble reaching Bill and he told me when he could have them come. Mike and a helper came today and changed the wiring per my request. I am well satisfied with the price I paid and for the work McGinley and Sons did for me. I will gladly recommend them to anyone else needing similar work and will also be calling them for the annual tuneups or service.

They know their product, good quality, good value, but the customer service needs improvement. Contracted with them in early June, about 3 wks (early July), to get the install scheduled for a Thursday. Wednesday they called and their current job was taking longer, so Friday, then Monday. On Monday they got some wrong parts from their supplier, so Tuesday. Tuesday installed except they got the wrong control board, needed to order, would be a couple of weeks, strapped the A/C to be controlled with from 1 of 3 zones in the interim. Called in early Aug and no return call. Called in early September and no return call. Contacted them through Home Advisor on a Wednesday, (mid-Sept), and first slot is the following Monday. Monday they had the wrong part and rescheduled for Thursday. No show, so called Thursday and no return call. Got them on Friday and rescheduled for Monday. Monday installed, checked out, and believe it is and will continue to work. Should have been much quicker and better customer relations with returning calls and scheduling issues.

After a good amount of research, I hired McGuinley and Sons to install my central air conditioner and duct work. I chose this company not only based on price, but the knowledge and friendliness of its teams. Knowing from experience that nothing goes seamless, I am happy to say that the only snag was getting an electrician to turn on the system. I was impressed with the company going the extra mile to find a local electrician in a timely manner. I will use this company again and highly recommend them.

They did a good job installing the AC but once the job was done they were gone. It has been over a month since the job was done and they never came back to top off the refrigerant as promised and the rebate form was never completed.

They were quick and erficient. Highly recommend. The only complaint is that they did not return my phone call post job completion to remove old heater.

I had a central air conditioning system installed in August of 2017. The owner asked for payment before the unit was even running. Stating that once the electrician did their part it would be up and running. Not the case. It took several return visits from McGinley for it to be running. Then after using it for a couple days it leaked water thruugh a bedroom ceiling, down the bedroom wall and down the hallway wall. First I was told it was installed at the wrong angle. It leaked again. Then I was told it had a missing part. I was also told to get an estimate and their insurance would cover the repairs. It has now been 7 weeks since I gave them the estimate and I have not been compensated. The owner keeps telling me that it is going to take a while. I have also asked several times for a paid in full invoice with the warranty information on it and also listed about it being faulty and causing damage in my house. The owner tells me every time that he can get me that but I still do not have it 7 months later.

They left before making sure the furnace was venting properly. I got very sick from the fumes. It's been two weeks and I still can't use my new furnace.
