Excellent. They showed up as promised and got to work immediately. They were able to successfully connect to prior plumber's improvements. They tested the work and made sure all necessary parts were used. They left the area clean and disposed of any trash associated with the work. They were very efficient and personable. I would contact them again for any plumbing needs.

Having had some VERY bad experiences with contractors working on my house over the past 10 years, I was dreading this project. Came across Pettigrew Plumbing on Angie's List. Although they're local, I'd never heard of them, but based on the AL reviews decided to check them out. Glad I did. Only moments after I hit the SEND REQUEST button on the AL website, John, the owner, rang my phone. He was very accommodating when I explained the special circumstances of this job in my 175-year old house, and the cost numbers he sent me shortly after, were very respectable. He was able to schedule the job MUCH sooner than I anticipated, WITHOUT A RUSH JOB surcharge. On installation day, the 2 install plumbers/technicians were very punctual, clean and friendly - and after observing them work, I must add, very professional. The lead plumber was truly a craftsman who still showed a passion for quality copper work. When they finished, the new tank, valves and the many feet of new copper piping looked very orderly. Every one of the many soldered joints looked very clean and professional - which is no small feat given the odd configuration of old wooden ceiling beams and low headroom clearance in my cellar. The plumbers stayed focused on their work, but I never got the impression they were just rushing to have this job done and behind them (like many other contractors I've experienced). They really seemed to enjoy their work. When they finished, no trash was left behind and everything was tidy. I couldn't have asked for a better experience, and will definitely use Pettigrew Plumbing again when needed.

Increased gas line size from the meter to accommodate a standby generator and new line to outside generator. Had a deadline that was not easy but they were able to make it happen. Knowledgeable and responsive.

Easy. Fast. Clean work. Very professional.

Feed tubes and faucet were replaced. A different pipe started to leak, severly, this was also repaired. First Class.

It didn't. The guy never called back as he said he would.

Pettigrew plumbing were very responsive and professional , I've used them on several occasions . I wont use anyone different than them. I've done some major remodeling jobs and some minor jobs. New homes as well, there absolutely the best .

They showed up when they said they would (and worked around my schedule). Work was done quickly, no mess, great price for work done and time spent at house. Would definitely recommend Pettigrew Plumbing

I must offer.... I am impressed. I reached out to several companies (including "old standbys") and Pettigrew had my water heater installed before I even received any call backs from other providers. While a wee bit more expensive than my last install, the responsiveness is undeniably spot-on. When you own rental property, don't even live remotely close by, it's nice to have a provider that is timely in its response. I would most certainly hire them again.

Our 15-year old water heater started leaking on Saturday. After researching Angie’s List, I called Pettigrew Plumbing. John took the call immediately and agreed to come out on Monday morning to install a new water heater. Since I was converting from oil-fired to electric, he told me I’d need an electrician to provide the two 15 amp circuits required. He even volunteered to contact electricians he’s worked with to see if any could do the work on Monday. John and two helpers arrived right on time, installed the new water heater and cleaned up thoroughly after the job was completed. They hauled away the old water heater, boxes and other work residue. The installation went very well - John and his helpers were very professional, courteous and efficient. The price was exactly what he quoted on the phone. Overall, I am very satisfied with Pettigrew Plumbing and will not hesitate to contact them again for future plumbing needs.

My wife called to schedule an appointment to evaluate the problem and get an estimate - she left a detailed message, which was never returned - the courtesy of a callback would have shown minimal professionalism.

After trying about 10 plumbers without a single call-back, I called Pettigrew Plumbing, and to my great surprise, Mr. Pettigrew answered his phone himself!! He was on a job, asked that I text him the information and he would get back to me. He kept his word, sent me Steve...who is so pleasant to deal with, so skilled at what he does. I am very pleased to have Steve as “my” plumber. This is a very reliable, trustworthy company and I am lucky to have found them on Angie’s List.

After coming downstairs in the morning to find a pipe in our basement had burst due to the cold weather, we called John at Pettigrew Plumbing and HVAC. John responded right away and immediately began offering support, assisting us in locating and shutting off the problematic valve over the phone. For anyone who has required emergent plumbing services - you likely recognize the value of not only a speedy response, but also the time devoted to alleviating the problem via phone! Despite the inclement weather, John was cognizant of the urgency of the situation; he came over within the hour and was able to diagnose and fix the problem. Additionally, John was wonderfully understanding and respectful with regard to the stress associated with this issue. I would highly recommend this service to anyone with plumbing needs - we plan on giving John our business moving forward!

Pettigrew rep was very professional and kind on the phone. Even though we didn't need someone to go out in our situation, he still took a short time to explain a short term fix. We will look at Pettigrew for any future major A/C heating issues for our property. Thanks!

Great!!!!!! Quick response and replacement of broken sewer pipes July 5.

Discovered that the swivel head sprayer needed a new o-ring. Fixed in a jiffy and left replacements so I wouldn't have to call them again for a simple fix. I have always been very satisfied with Pettigrew Plumbing and Heating.

The pipes were odd sized and Pettigrew needed to order and fit the special sizes. They communicated with me throughout the process and got the job done in a timely manner.

I was very pleased with the service done. They were professional, courteous and efficient.

Very prompt service and always got back to me with questions. His electrician did not show the day of but he was very communicative and made sure he helped get the job done. All of this while I was out of town

Per above, I was left in a complete jam by another plumber. I needed an honest, competent plumber on very short notice. John called me right back, his crew (Steve and Kevin) arrived when they said they would, they were courteous and professional, and the job got done right. I am very, very happy with the service and would absolutely recommend or serve as a reference.

I never received a call back. I am extremely frustrated by this - I find it inexcusable. I can assure you that we will take all future needs - and those of our large neighborhood association - elsewhere.
