They were at my building within an hour of my call. Tried multiple methods/tools to clear a clogged main drain trap, but ultimately it was not possible because the trap was broken. He did increase the price a bit (after consulting me) for making a last attempt by removing the trap collar. That seemed reasonable for the extra effort involved. He offered a reasonable price to replace the trap, though I ended up going with my regular plumber on that. Overall satisfied with promptness, straightforwardness, and effort expended to fix the problem.

Description of Work: 9PM on a Friday, the day before a party, and my pipes clog, causing a leak in the basement. 64 feet deep, there is a clog at the edge, where my septic connects. David came prepared and ready to work. Within seconds of looking at the problem, he knew what he was up against, and prepped his tools. About an hour later, clog removed, and even sealed up my pipe with some wax. He's very knowledgeable and helpful with tips.

We were very satisfied with his quick response, especially since a 24-hour emergency plumbing service said they couldn't get here until the next day and our toilet was so blocked, it was overflowing all over the bathroom floor. We agreed to replace the toilet rather than open up the basement pipes and have an overflow in our basement. We looked at the pipe line to the septic tank thru his digital camera and saw a broken pipe and some roots, probable cause of the blockage. We were pleased with his selection of a toilet and with his workmanship. Our only hesitation in hiring him again is his price. He charged $450 for using the camera but said it included a full report, to be sent, of what it showed. We never received it. He charged us $450 for the toilet, an American Standard, which didn't seem out-of-line, although I haven't bought one in years so don't know for sure. However, $450 for the camera seemed high, and even then he said we were getting a "discount price." He then gave us a price for returning, digging up the broken pipe (just outside the house) and fixing it -- $3,500. He said it would take major large equipment and many hours of labor. This past week a local septic contractor dug up the area with a small tractor, replaced the pipe, did some other work, checked out leach field, found it was fine, cleaned up the yard perfectly, and was finished within three hours. We don't have a bill yet but will be very surprised (even shocked) if it comes anywhere near $3,500. I will give a followup with the price.. Our conclusion was that we were happy they responded immediately to our predicament, solved it to our satisfaction, but probably were taken advantage of a bit price-wise since we were "over the proverbial barrel."
Description of Work: I had an overflying toilet. Provider was an emergency call. He replaced the toilet (otherwise basement would have been a mess of overflow sewage), pumped line out first, dug up a bit to try to find pipes, took digital photo of piping system from basement to septic tank. He cleaned up bathroom after work was done.

2 months later everything is working perfectly. The "impossible" to repair toilet is a low-profile. Crane, and has an In-wall tank giving the bowl a shorter profile in a narrow bathroom. It gives a strong flush. It is impossible to replace it with its equal and not in the same color that matches the bathroom. Mr. Cioto displayed great imaginayion and seemed to intuitively know what was wrong even though he had never seen a toilet like this one! He left everything clean and he and his assistant were clean and neat. Mr. Cioto is also a fun guy that anyone woulld like to have for a neighbor!
Description of Work: David Cioto repaired three 47-year old toilets, one of which had been inoperative for 10 years. At least 7 other plumbers had attempted too repair this toilet without success, all recommending replacement. M. Cioto is a plumbing genius. I recommend him highly a d pleasant to have arou!
