It went great. He showed up when he said he would, he did fantastic work and left the place clean every night when he left for the day. We couldn't be happier with the results.

John, Arrived and start work buy putting down drop cloths and made sure everything was protected. The removed the old tub.and set the new tub in place connected the drain. Day 2 The next day they install the new faults and show head and add new shutoff values. The placed the new surround in and replace the plaster around the walls. Day 3 Came back and finished up the plaster and and finish the clean up. I am very happy with the install and would use him again for other work. Don

Our project was a full kitchen remodel. John and his partner Mark were fantastic throughout the process. From the time John initially met with us and priced out the job we had asked if it would be possible to complete it before Christmas. John was upfront with us about his schedule and he assured us that the job would be completed. He arrived on the date he said and he and his partner Mark were there every day until the job was completed. There was never a time we had to wonder if they were going to show up, they were always up front about what they were going to be working on for the day, and they would give us a heads up about what the next day would bring so we could be ready. Throughout the process they would make suggestions and provide their opinion about various parts of the project. All in all it was a great experience to work with them. I would absolutely hire them again in a heartbeat and I highly recommend them to anyone looking to have work done on their home. Our cabinets and floor came out fantastic. Very solid attention to detail.

I had an above ground pool located next to my deck. When the pool was removed, there was a section of deck that needed railing added. John and his co-worker arrived on time and did an excellent job. The new railing matched the existing railing perfectly. They were both professional and personable. I would definitely use Extreme Makeover Custom Home Repair Handyman again.

John is very professional. He came out to inspect the project himself before hand (I had 1 contractor have me e-mail him pictures of the job). I like the personal touch. He and his crew (of one) showed up on time, went right to work and cleaned up when they were done. Job was done well. I will hire him again in the future for some window repair.

John Was very good. He called back in the evening of my call. He came out the next day and looked at the work. I received a quote for the work the following day. He scheduled the work for the following Tuesday. He arrived on Tuesday and completed the repairs and clean up all trash. I paid what I was quoted. He even added a door knob that wasn't in the quote for no additional charge. He was very professional and I would not hesitate to have him do more work for me in the future.

I had used John a couple of years ago for some trim work around my garage. This time I he worked on my front door sill. He is always very responsive, prompt and on time

This is the second time I have used John for some home reviews and have no hesitations about calling him again the next time we need some work done. He's very responsive, arrives when he says he will and gets the job done on time as as promised.

Excellent, excellent, excellent. Got home from work to find a big leak under the kitchen sink. John responded to my inquiry the next morning and was able to get to our house by noon. The work was done in a couple hours and is as good as new. This is the third time I have used John for some jobs around the house and am always impressed with his responsiveness, professionalism and workmanship.

John and Mark did a great job putting in laminate flooring. I have received many compliments. It was not an easy job because the wall to wall carpeting was nasty and had been there for forty years or more. They worked fast and all of my projects were competed in just over two days. They were professional and friendly. I plan on hiring them again in the future for a kitchen/bathroom remodel. They are not only handymen but can also do a complete remodel.

John was very responsive to our request for a quote. He looked at the job the same day I called and came up with a quote quickly. He kept in touch about when he would perform the work. He arrived when he said he would and completed the work efficiently and neatly. He also spotted a couple of other rot problems while on the job and repaired those as well. We would definitely hire him again.

John was very responsive and communicated well from the -first phone call to the end of the project. He did a great job on the original scope of work, and went above and beyond with the final appearance for the project. He did extra woodwork, removed a bracket that was attaching the fencepost to the house, and re-stained areas of the house that was hidden by the position of the original post. Outstanding job. He will be the first contractor I call with ANY future projects

The project went well considering that the weather did not want to cooperate at all. John and Mark spent much time just doing what needed to be done. They were very considerate of my elderly mother who was there during the entire project. As far as the work went, there were no real surprises that they came across and even though they said that it took them longer than expected, I think they did it all in record time!!

Both John and Mark arrived on time and were very professional. John's prices were very reasonable. My wife was very happy with the new stairs and all of the plumbing and dishwasher installation worked fine. I would recommend John and Mark to anyone looking for work done.

We have been very reluctant to tackle the above mentioned projects since we haven't had too much luck with contractors in the past. Working with John and Mark from Extreme Makeover was very encouraging and a very positive experience. As a matter of fact we are about to schedule the next projects. John and Mark are a pleasure to work with. Very professional, courteous and creative. At the first meeting in order to to get an estimate, Extreme Makeover was very open about applicable solutions without knowing yet if they would get the job. All fixes are remarkable and give the house a much better appearance. The estimate was delivered promptly and our schedule was met 100%. We liked the fact that the estimate included time and material, so there were no surprises after the fact. I would recommend Extreme Makeover any time.

The work went great , John arrived already to get to work and explained to me everything that was going to happen. The took the care to move things and place tarps around the work areas to make sure nothing was damaged and the area stayed clean. John came prepared for the work with all necessary tools and stock to complete the tasks at hand. I can't say enough about John and his team they were stand up guys and class act's compared to other people that I have had do work for me. I will be using Johns company again because its not just about price and the better deal its about the people you allow in your home and life and the quality of those people and the work that they do. I am not a handy type of guy , it has never been my thing so I am glad people like John are around.

Originally, I called John to repair a botched vanity install (this was from another provider whom I found on Angies list) where the previous guy had left gaping holes in my dry wall on both sides of the vanity. To this job, I also added on replacing my shower stall (here I wanted all the shower tile and base ripped out as well as replace a non-load bearing wall that the plumbing ran through and replace the shower head and valve) and flooring. Another requirement of mine was to see if we could increase the size of the stand in shower. John came by promptly for the estimate and gave an estimate of $5000 (including provisions for materials) to : repair the dry walls on both sides of the vanity, reinstall the vanity, replace the old vinyl flooring with tile of my choice, take down and rebuild the one wall in the standing shower, put in a 2 piece shower stall with new fittings, fully paint the bathroom. This also required that the existing (recently replaced) toilet be removed and reinstalled. The job was estimated for 5 work days. When the shower stall wall was removed and moved to increase the size of the shower stall, he found that new location will clash with the bathroom vent fan. So, the fan had to be moved as well and since the fan was old and weak anyway, replaced. This also meant that the bathroom ceiling had to be wholly replaced. John estimated this additional cost to be another $1000. The job was started on time - with the new work, he and his partner took 3 more work days to complete. However, his attention to detail was excellent. Every day, before he even entered the house, they would lay down sheets to protect my carpets. At the end of the day, they would clean up and even vacuum up behind them when they took the sheets out. Also, in the actual job itself, he found that my existing light fixture in my shower was out dated and didnt match my choice of paint/tile. He replaced the light fixture and also without my telling him, replaced the base boards where the wall meets the floor with the closest match to the old wood base boards that were originally there. Further, instead of just patching the gaping holes in the dry wall on both sides of the vanity (as I had asked him to do), he removed the dry wall entirely, moved it back an inch and replaced it - which ensured my vanity with its granite top overhang fit cleanly in that space and we will not need to rip out the wall again in the future if we need to replace the vanity. These were all things he just did as part of the job without me asking him to. Overall, the job came out very clean, very professional. Yes, in the end we were about 20% over on time and budget on the original plan but it was money well spent and only spent after he provided a good justification (and contrasting this to some other providers who came by for estimates and suggested the same job would cost anywhere from $10,000 - $30,000, the overall price was reasonable). What I really liked was his attention to detail and the fact that he does take a lot of pride in his work and finished product. I also found that John is not a guy that does a job and you never hear from him after- he does take time to follow up to see if everything is still good and working fine. This is my first Angies list review and I dont usually write reviews but as far as I am concerned, this guy is a 2 thumbs up and I figured I should recognize that. Would definitely hire him again.

Over the Winter a woodpecker did some damage to the side of our house and we were getting ready to put our house on the market. John came out assessed the job told me what day he would be there and it was done when he said it would be done. He was quick and professional. I definitely would use him again when we move to our new house in June!

They did an amazing job! I was very impressed with the quality of the work. John is very friendly and professional. He went above and beyond what was required to raise my cabinets, by paying attention to details. I needed my cabinets raised by 1/2''. Not only did he do that by installing strips of plywood on top of the cabinets, but he came up with a great way to make sure it looked nice from underneath. He came back after the countertops were installed, and installed a border underneath, all around, to hide the plywood that was put on to raise the cabinets. This border matched the color of my cabinets perfectly, and it looks great! I would have been happy with just having the cabinets raised, but the fact that he cared enough to come up with a way to make sure the plywood wasn't noticeable, really impressed me. I will be calling them again in the future.

It went smoothly. All minor jobs but nice to have completed all at once.

My expectations were exceeded as John and Mark completed both projects in three days. When you think about master craftsmen, these guy's are the real deal. You would never know my folks had considerable water damage in their master bath and the dry wall was a mess. They sanded, mud and taped. They came back the next day and re-sanded and color matched the paint. As a bonus, John even painted the baseboard no charge to make the bathroom look like new. The guy's put in a railing to match an existing one so my folks would have support on both sides of the stairwell. He suggested to install a short railing on a platform step down into the basement. We agreed and are glad he installed it. My folks have a much easier time going up and down into the basement. The guy's are super clean as they lay tarps down and vacuum up any dust and debris. In my home, John removed a sliding door and made an entry into the four season room. The wood work is impeccable and they color matched the stain perfectly. Did I mention earlier how clean they are? If your looking for a company to do just about anything in your home, call these guy's. Prompt, friendly, clean and good at what they do.
