Excellent experience from the initial meeting with the owner to the final installation. I wasn't home at the time of the install but my wife was very impressed with the crew. They covered the area with a tarp to catch debris, removed a couple of planters that might get damaged, took down the gas grille on the back porch and returned everything to its rightful place after all was done. I was amazed that the entire project was done in one day! The clean up was exceptional! Other than a couple of small fragments of the old roof that I would find when raking the fall leaves I have yet to find an old nail. My sister, who also had her roof replaced by another contractor, was still finding roofing nails months after they finished. And with small children running around she wasn't very pleased with the efforts of cleaning up even though she did see him walking around the property with a magnet. Preparation is the key and using a tarp is smart. Those were the Pros, and now for a balanced review, a couple of cons. After my inspection of the roof I noticed that the shingles on the "eyebrows" over the garage doors were wavy and the siding that met the roofing shingles didn't come down all the way, looked sort of lifted. Also, over the entrance to the kitchen door on the back porch one of the lengths of siding was detached from the house. Not exactly sure how you could miss that on a final inspection, it was pretty obvious and that would fall on the shoulders of the foreman or crew supervisor. Now back to the Pros. I called the company and they sent out one of the employees (I believe it was the crew supervisor) that following Saturday right after the install. Nice man, very polite (as were all the people we dealt with), no problem he said, I'll take care of anything you need. Pointed out the issues and he went right to work and resolved them both to our satisfaction. He added that if I see anything else to give them a call and they would take care of it as well. He even did us a favor by adjusting our flood lights over the garage since he had a ladder tall enough to reach them at 25ft (tried to tip him for the extra work, but he flatly refused!). It's been a few months now and we are thrilled with the look of the roof! We'll see how it weathers the winter but I have no doubt we and the next owners of this house will enjoy it for years to come. Cannot say enough positive things about our experience with Roofing King; recommend them with the highest regard. Just as a side note, my wife and I recommend that when you're deciding on a color for the shingles and you have narrowed it down to a couple of choices, ask for the sales rep to bring out a full size shingle sample that you can put up on the roof. Makes a huge difference! The full size sample will show you the variations in the shingle (color and shading patterns, especially with the HD shingles) that a small rectangular sample in a sample book just can't. When we did this, we actually wound up changing our minds as to the initial color choice.

I couldn't be happier. Once I went through everything with the sales rep (and I did need some educating) we came to an agreement. The work was completed in one day by a very efficient crew (this was a pretty big job) - the best thing is that there were no surprises. Their clean-up was great (I have not found a single errant nail) and the final cost was exactly what the pre-agreed upon price was without any additional charges. They will be the first people I call when I need further roofing work done!

Craig from Roofing King was wonderful to work with, very professional, honest and extremely helpful. Craig explained in detail the work that was required and was very patient in answering all my questions. He was able to do the job sooner than estimated and completed the job and perfect cleanup by the end of the day. He was even kind enough to perform some extra work without increasing the original quoted price. I am very happy that I chose Roofing King and highly recommend them.

Extremely well. The owner, Craig, first met with us and covered all the relevant issues in detail. He was highly responsive to all of our questions, including the question of ways in which we might minimize, or even eliminate, the danger of future ice-dams. All the work was carried out in a highly efficient and effective manner. The crew arrived on schedule and the work was completed within the promised time frame. The foreman, Matt, runs the crew very well and took the time to answer any questions we had. All debris was removed upon completion of the work. We are very pleased with the end product which included the installing soffit vents to take care of ventilation issues. We would highly recommend this company for roofing work.

Roofing King was a pleasure to deal to do business with. The owner, Craig, came out personally and did the estimate and followed up with the quote. I had a bit of a challenging roof replacement that included shoring up and leveling a sagging roof on the front. I could not get other contractors to even quote the work needed, and Roofing king gave a very reasonable estimate and then did a great job. Craig the owner was very responsive, listened to every concern before and during the job, and always returned calls and emails in a timely manner. The crew were polite, safe, and quick. I had one issue with a gutter that was replaced, and Craig made sure it was addressed to my satisfaction.

I couldn't believe how the installers worked together as a team and did an absolutely professional job. My roof looks outstanding. I couldn't be happier. I have already recommended them to two of my friends that need roofing repair.

Roofing King did an excellent job from showing up in time to provide a quote along with explaining all available options. I received a recorded message the day prior to my installation which was great knowing I would have a crew on my property the following day. The job was completed as discussed and my property left clean and as if no one had been here with exception to a new roof.

Very professional. After receiving several estimates from other roofing contractors, my daughter and I were very impressed with Craig. He's a true professional; explains all aspects of the work to be done, material to be used, the recycling of the old asphalt shingles, and the team of roofers that work for him. He was able to match the shingles to our 4-yr addition perfectly. The job was done in one day. All debris was picked up. You would never know anyone had been at the house except for the new roof which looks absolutely great.

Wow what can I say about Craig and his crew? These guys are true pros. From the estimate to the end of the job Craig went above and beyond the call of duty. The crew was exceptional. I am completely satisfied with Roofing King Inc's. performance while installing my roof system. Roofing King provided a prompt quote when others delayed. - (One other major company called me to ask how old the house was and stated he only works on newer homes. - Another company said they would arrive and did not show for the estimate. Roofing King Inc was actually the furthest away. Estimate provided very quickly and was very detailed and adhered to. Project started when they said it would. Roofing King team arrived extremely well geared and with more people than I expected. Entire roof system on my three story home built in the 1780s home was completed in little over a day. Covers were placed along the entire house and ground. Team was very well mannered and always ready to answer questions and point out concerns. Roofing King LLC provided more than expected and for a very competitive price. The owner, Craig LaCrosse, discussed all the options and roofing processes to me before I signed up, letting me choose what I wanted done. The contract he puts together clearly called out my choices and the work to be done. Roofing King showed up on time. They were very professional and knowledgeable. They went the extra mile to perform quality work. For example, they hung tarps from the roof to the ground to prevent any of the old shingles from damaging the house. They also replaced all plywood that showed any signs of previous water damage. A mid afternoon delay occurred when a thunderstorm hit, and they quickly covered the unfinished areas of the roof with tarps to prevent water damage. They worked long hours to insure that the roof was covered for the evening, as more rain was forecast. The next day they arrived on time again, and again worked long hours to insure the job was finished on the second day. Every member of the team worked hard and showed professionalism. After the job was completed, they thoroughly cleaned up the driveway and yard. I highly recommend this company.

Our contact, Craig, was very easy to work with. From the initial request for a quote through to the completion we felt that we were always able to get our questions answered in a timely manner. The work was completed in one day which was exactly what we were looking for. When finished, the work crew took the time to not only go over the area with magnets but to search by hand for any missed nails and debris. So far, we have not found any missed nails. The roof looks wonderful. The color of the shingles is exactly what we thought it would be from the samples, something I was a little nervous about. The price quoted is exactly what we paid in the end and was in line or cheaper than the other quotes we received. Overall, we are very satisfied with the work done by The Roofing King and would use them again if we had another house needing a roof.

They were really easy to deal with. The owner really knows his stuff and made us feel comfortable. They showed up early (7 AM) and were done in one day. Great roof. 50 Yr warrantee. Nobody else had that.

We had looked at a few different roofing companies that we found on Angie's List to do the job, and selected Roofing King because the owner Craig seemed the most knowledgeable and thorough out of all the companies that we met with. Roofing King was in the middle of the estimates in terms of price, but they were also very helpful in working with us through ta few particular items that we were interested in for the job. After having the job completed, we're very happy that we went with Roofing King. The quality of their work was excellent, and Craig was very professional and personable to deal with. I had a number of questions come up over the few weeks leading up to the installation, and he was very responsive and helpful with all of them. During the installation there were a few other items on the house exterior that we were interested in having repaired, and they added those at a reasonable price and did a great job. Some bad weather delayed work a couple days, so they came out on a Sunday to finish the job before I had to travel the following week. All in all, I would highly recommend Roofing King to others looking to get a new roof or new gutters.

This is an updated review which addresses my entire experience with Roofing King. It addresses what has transpired since I posted my original review on Angie?s List, and my reaction to their response (which you will see below this newly updated review). My experience with Roofing King has been horrifying. I originally had them come out to my house to quote on repairs to my vinyl siding, which was damaged in an accident that happened in front of my house. When the owner arrived I also pointed out issues with the roof and gutters, since his company also specializes in those. The owner was only at my home for a brief time, so I gave him some paperwork to help him with the estimating process. This consisted of the estimate I had received from the insurance company that included all of the specifications they based their pricing on (so he could provide an apples to apples estimate to help me evaluate their offer) and two pages from my recent home inspection report that described the need for gutters and the problem areas on the roof (which even included pictures). I followed up with owner of the company a few times over the next few weeks and he kept stalling on the estimate. Finally after about a month, he emailed me back to tell me he was not clear on the scope of the work and he would not be estimating. While I was very frustrated with having been dragged along and led to believe for weeks that an estimate was coming, this was just the beginning of the problems I had with the company. I posted a very fair and honest review on Angie's List stating what aspects were good about my customer experience and what aspects were bad. I was subjective and diplomatic in my review and didn't bad mouth them in any way. It essentially said the owner needed to brush up on his customer service and follow through skills. On the Sunday morning after I posted my review, the owner contacted me at home to bully me into changing my review. It wasn't a discussion about my experience; it was an all out confrontation. He was upset that I had given him a D rating and proceeded to argue with me about my rating for 10 minutes. Since they hadn't actually done work for me, my D rating isn't even a blip on their positive A score (it is weighed differently than a review from an actual customer that had work done). While my review had no impact on their reputation, their response to it probably will. Aside from the fact that the company confronted me about my negative review, they also crossed the line of customer privacy. I had mentioned in my original review that I was dealing with a stressful situation at the time (a home robbery). On our call that Sunday morning, the owner actually accused me of lying about the burglary. He had taken it upon himself to call the local police department and told me the local PD had no record of my home robbery. This was not only unnecessary and unprofessional; it was a complete invasion of my privacy. I had a very scary home invasion experience that has literally turned my world upset down. My home robbery had nothing to do with this company and my original review did not implicate them in any way. The context was related to my frustration for having to write a review when I had other matters I was dealing with. So why on earth would the owner take it upon himself to investigate this aspect of my personal life? I am sure the reason the police department didn't give him information on the case is that it is part of an investigation?and none of his business. His inquiry could have even compromised the investigation. Later on that Sunday I emailed the owner to go on the record about his inquiry into the burglary and how violated I felt that he would dig into my personal life. He then continued to try to intimidate me with a number of tactics including the fact that he has a family to feed, he knows my brother, and that my brother also owns a small business, etc. Now, to get to the worst part of my experience. The owner eventually posted his response to my original Angie's List review (which you will see below). The response is an outright personal attack meant to harm my credibility and damage my character. It contains untruthful information about my insurance claim, made up facts and figures, and it accuses me of committing insurance fraud as well as lying about my home burglary. I have all of the back-up to show that his claims are not accurate. This includes statements related to my insurance claim in progress (not settled as he states), the police report from my home burglary and communication from the investigating officer, and all of the email communication I've had with the owner which does not include the conversations he claims we had. It boggles my mind that this company would retaliate to one negative review in such a hostile way. Their tactics have truly intimated me to the point that I have been fearful of further retaliation. I want to thank the good folks at Angie?s List for helping me with this situation and contacting the owner about my experience. I hope this company handles legitimate complaints differently in the future.

We had a roof replaced on our last house, and the difference between that crew and this crew was like night and day. This crew didn't stop working until the job was done. Owner of the business visited the house and gave a very thorough explanation of the work he will do. Estimated a very good price and thats what it cost - no uppers. The work was completed in 2 days and the efficient way they strip and repaloce the shingles led to fast turn around and amazingly clean ground around the roof. No pieces of shingle or specnt nails. Excellent company.
