Bob was very responsive and got us an estimate quickly. He answered all our questions and concerns in a timely manner. In the end, we went with a different vendor.

Bob is an experienced contractor that was easy to work with. He was organized, accurate with estimates and time frames and kept to his commitments. All of the work performed by him and his subcontractors was excellent.

Most of the work was done okay, there were a couple of areas that could have been matched up a little bit better. Their professionalism and clean up was fine.

Overall it went great. Bob was very professional and very knowledgeable. He excelled in a a few ways. He was EXTREMELY responsive to any questions and email. The other thing is that we offered a lot of suggestions that helped us get the look we wanted. I'll be honest, my wife and I weren't really sure how we wanted it to look. We just had a few poorly organized idea. Bob helped us wrap this into a plan and he added ideas of his own. How do you put a value on that?

Overall - I would highly recommend him based on what we've experienced so far!

We contacted Ayotte based on the good review on Angie's List. Bob was prompt to schedule the onsite visit with us, the overall visit went well. Two days later he sent a roofer (a sub) to inspect the leaky roof, two guys showed up without introducing themselves, and started putting the ladder on a soft edge on the roof (vs a steady spot not only for not damaging our roof but their safety too!), did not even make it to the top to perform the inspection. We were very concerned about their expertise and professionalism, so we fired the roofer. Now five days later, we have not received an estimate from Bob, so we decided to go with another company.

I asked for a quote for some remodeling I was considering. Bob responded quickly and arranged to make a visit to inspect the property. Very professional and always quick to reply to any questions I had. I ended up going with another contractor but would not hesitate to call Bob again.

Although they called right away, the visit wasn't until atleast a week later and the quote took several days. By that time I had already found another contractor that was cheaper and scheduled.

Everything went very smoothly and as expected.

Bob was a consummate professional. He laid out an excellent plan. His budget was accurate. The quality of his work was wonderful. He was great at giving ideas and laying out options. He kept the workplace clean at all times. I really feel like we could use him again on other project and would not hesitate to use him for larger projects. We found Bob through Angie's List and his highly positive reviews were very accurate. To surmise, if you are looking for a contractor who is professional and trustworthy, Bob is your man.

Bob came the first night and went through our unit. At that point, we had no means to access the empty space above our second floor and couldn't give an accurate estimate for time, effort, or cost. We set aside a different date and he came promptly with everything needed to cut a whole in one of our closets to examine the space. Unfortunately for us, structurally the work would be very cost prohibative (not to mention the impact to other units) and we couldn't go forward. Bob was extremely gracious in giving this info which was appreciated considering out dissapointment in what we found in the unit itself. He provided us a tremendous amount of information and we never felt like we were spoke down to or taken advantage of. Fantastic man and service.

First of all, Bob Ayotte was extremely responsive to my initial inquiry, replying by email the same day. He came out to the house within a couple of days to look over the job. We discussed the options and he quoted me "time and materials", since it was unknown what the extent of the damage or repair would be. It took some time to get on his schedule, but this was not critical. My emails to him were always promptly answered. We agreed on a start date and he and a helper showed up right on time and got to work. He spread a tarp under the window to catch any debris and worked quickly but carefully, cutting out the damaged wood. He determined that he could repair the damage, and did so, taking care to apply wood hardener where there was "dry rot" and redid the shingle caps on the window's roof to make sure they did not leak. He was finished before noon and cleaned up completely. All along the way he asked me to look at the progress to see what he had found. The bill at the end was quite reasonable and consistent with his quote. I felt Bob to be competent, professional and very pleasant to deal with. I've already lined up two more (and larger) jobs for him in the future. I have been burned so many times by contractors who came highly recommended but turned out to be duds. Bob Ayotte was my first find through Angie's List, and I am very pleased with how it worked out.

I chated with him and he said he would come by the next week and never showed up.

Bob and his team were extremely professional and friendly. Bob promptly responded to the initial phone call, and came out the following evening (after work hours) to look at the job. Came back with an very reasonable estimate (as compared to another bid) in a couple of days, and started work a couple of days after that (less than week from the initial phone call). Every morning, before my wive and I left for work, Bob walked us through the job, what was planned for the day, and what decisions/materials he needed from us. Each night when we returned, Bob's team would be gone, and the house was kept very clean and livable. The work was completed in less than 2 weeks, and the bathroom looks great. I will certainly hire him again on future projects.

Since Bob had previously done a great job with the bathroom, I had him come to replace both of these doors. He helped me pick ones that were a good balance of insulating and cost. He quickly replaced both doors dealing with all the little problems that came up along the way and taking the time to describe them and help me understand. He was also able to keep it so the existing screen door worked, which was a bit was an issue during the process.

The person that came was excellent. I rate him highly. I will consider them for an estimate in the future.

The bathroom looks amazing now. The tile floor is beautiful and very well done. I very much feel like I got my money's worth. I'm going to have him come back in a couple months for some more work on other parts of the house. I needed a contractor to take care of re-doing the bathroom because the old sink had a leak in the drain. Because I don't go into the cabinet the sink was on very often and everything I need in there is right at the front, I didn't notice the leak for some time (luckily all water damage was confined to the cabinet). Since the previous owner didn't put the flooring under the cabinet, new flooring was going to be needed. From talking with Bob, I decided on a tile floor. When we got to talking about what pattern to use for the tile, I just assumed it would be a grid pattern, but he recommended to have the rows offset. Going with the offset looks so good and I'm glad he recommended it. The plumber that took care of installing the new sink did a great job. The pipes and drain in the wall needed to be moved over and aligned (I went with a pedestal style sink) as well as the sink being installed. Both times he came over, he was on time, friendly, and worked quickly and thoroughly. In addition to the work Bob did in the bathroom, he took the time to give me very good advice for home repair, which since I'm new to owning a home I needed. He also took the time to answer any questions I had, about this and future projects.

My wife and I were very happy when we bought our first home. However, the old carpeting really did a number on my allergies. We decided to have hardwood floors installed. My neighbor, Barbra, said that she'd just had several windows replaced and was very pleased with the work that was done. She gave me a business card for Ayotte Home Improvements. My wife and I met with Bob and we discussed our options. He took the time to answer all the questions we had, and helped chose the floor that was right for us. We decided to go with a 5'' wide hart pine flooring. It's BEAUTIFUL!!! we couldn't be happier! The work was done Fast, it looks great, and we got a good price! I also plan on having all of my windows replaced this fall, and will once again be calling Ayotte Home Improvements.
