I hit the jackpot when I chose Bob Ayotte to build my accessory dwelling unit in my son's 2 car garage. I should have purchased a lottery ticket! He is honest, a perfectionist, neat and very knowledgeable! Most impressive for me was the fact that Bob took the time to listen and understand what I needed to make this dwelling my "forever place" now that I have retired.

Bob did a great job at both giving us guidance on what we had to do when during the process, as well as ideas for how to tweak our design for usability and look and feel.

If you are looking for someone who is organized, always on time and communicates effectively then Ayotte Construction is the company you want to hire. I can't say enough about how well of a job Bob and his crew did for us. Were extremely pleased with the results. We would hire him again no questions asked.

Working with Bob was awesome. A completely transparent experience from the estimate all the way to completion. Bob kept to all timelines and budgets, was emendable to on the fly changes, and always let my wife and I know when he or someone from his crew would be by. I can honestly say he will be the first call we make on any future project. A+ all around. Can not recommend him enough.

Bob was responsive within a week to come out and scope the work. I went with Bob because he was very through when he came to look at the work and explained the options/ different aspects that could impact the cost/work. Based upon that alone, I hired him as most other contractors came out and looked for 5 mins. He was on target with his projected start date and moved very quickly. Him and his team took care with the rest of the house when it came to protecting the flooring/ keeping the dust from spreading. He works with Nashua Tile & Flooring, Brain there was awesome at helping and explaining options. Overall Bob takes pride in the work and ensuring the customer likes the product. I would hire him/ team again.

We had the need to renovate/remodel our Master Bathroom, 1st floor bathroom, and our kitchen. We started interviewing prospective contractors, which in its own is a challenging experience. Some people acted like they wanted the job, others postponed appointments or cancelled all together. Bob Ayotte came to our home, sat down with my wife and I and listened to what we wanted, or at least what we thought we wanted at that point. He offered some ideas and concepts, but deferred to our vision. He took the time to visit each room, the spaces below them, the spaces above them, the wiring, the plumbing, the ventilation, etc. with an attention to detail. He asked lots of questions, took in my answers and my wife’s answers, which at times opened our eyes because our answers didn’t always match. There was never a sales approach, just a consultative approach. By the time he left, I said to my wife, “If his price is in the ballpark, and his communication and follow up on the proposal is professional, we have found our contractor.” Indeed, the price was in the right range, and the communication and follow up could not have been more professional. Bob delivered everything when he said that he would. He took the time to walk us through the proposal and answer a great number of questions. We came to agreement and decided to move forward. My experience with people who own their own companies is that I run into many people who are either “artists”: people who gifted in their craft who fail at running the business aspect including communication, or “business people” who are great at running the business, but fail at the art of their craft. Bob was so good at the business aspect, that I legitimately worried about his ability to deliver on the art. If you share that concern, or my view on artists vs business people, let me assure you that Bob is both. We tackled the master bath first, as a separate project. Everything went exactly according to schedule. We met with Bob’s tile subcontractor, Brian at Nashua Tile Center. We picked out what we wanted, and awaited his estimate. My wife chose some very nice tile, and we ended up $900 over our expected budget…$900 over Bob’s original estimate. Over the course of the remainder of the projects, this would be the only cost over-run which was not due to us adding some new scope of work, like deciding on a bench for the shower, or for a glass shower door instead of the original shower curtain concept. We more than made up for that budget over-run in credits that came back to us in other areas, including being under budget on tile for our kitchen and 1st floor bath (which of course, allowed us to add more scope to the job anyhow). All in all, aside for things that we CHOSE to add to the project, we were roughly $200 over budget for all three rooms: Master Bath, 1st Floor Bath, and Kitchen combined! The Master Bath Project from start to end took 4 weeks, just as Bob had outlined for us. It was delivered on time, and within budget. Further, his sub-contractors for tile, electrical, plumbing, plaster, painting and floor refinishing treated our home with great respect throughout the process, always taking time to prepare the area for work, protect our floors, take precautions to control dirt and dust, and to clean up every day when the work was done. Bob’s crew of himself, Mike, and Austin were friendly, knowledgeable, and hard working. I worked from home throughout the entire project, so I saw first-hand how they went about their business each day. The finished product, our Master Bath, is amazing. Friends who have seen it say that it looks like something they would find in a spa. The work was fantastic. All permits and inspections were handled by Bob and team, and they were flawless. We were excited to move on to the kitchen and first floor bath. A friend of mine had helped me with my kitchen cabinets, so they were supplied independently. Everything else went according to plan. As I stated above, the same crew from Ayotte Home Improvements, and the same sub-contractors came in, treated my home and my family with great respect, and delivered the job on budget, and on time. Bob went out of his way on several occasions to help me out with items that came up where he could either save me some money on something, save me time on something, or just help me to move a fridge, or remove a fridge, just a bunch of items that he really didn’t have to do, but he did because I believe he is just genuinely a nice guy who wants happy customers and successful projects. Toward the end of the kitchen and bath project, it became evident that we would be foolish to not extend our new colors and woodwork into our dining room and living room. Bob just rolled with the changes, managed his sub-contractors and adjusted accordingly as we added scope (and cost). He was incredibly patient with us. Throughout the entire process, the professionalism and communication never waned. Bob and I exchanged emails and text messages on a regular basis. The artist and the business person never conflicted. The project plan was accurate each week. The payments and dollars owed were always correct. This project went so well, we have Bob and his team back to add a two car garage and mud room now.

He did an excellent job and I have not had any problems since. He was very thorough, upfront with his costs, and I would highly recommend him.

Bob is the best contractor I have ever worked with. This was the second time my wife and I used Bob for a remodel project (he did a bathroom for us a couple years ago). Bob is an excellent project manager, and offers helpful advice and suggestions throughout the project. He worked very closely with us to stay on budget and still get an amazing kitchen. We had gotten an initial quote from a kitchen design specialist that was super expensive and Bob was able to give us a better design for a much better price that was more in line with what we were comfortable spending. Felt like we were walking into a brand new house when the work was complete, but even better because it was still the house we had so many memories in. And to top that, the remodel was done almost two weeks early. I would recommend Bob and his team for any remodel project.

Bob Ayotte is by far the best general contractor my wife and I have worked with. He is professional, he is a great communicator, he delivers what he promises, he takes the time to discuss and educate you on the work being performed and, most of all, is just easy to work with. He gets it - not all of us are in this space. And he does what it takes to make sure you understand everything that's going on so your investment is absolutely worthwhile. The kitchen is a dream and the basement looks fantastic. Thank you!!

We were very happy with Bob Ayotte and his team and would hire them again. We hired Ayotte Home Improvements to remodel the two and a half bathrooms in our ~25-year old house. In the two full bathrooms they stripped everything down to the studs, replaced vanity, counter tops, sinks, and toilets, and installed tile in the new bath/showers. They started demolition in January and received final sign-off from the local building inspector in April. Bob’s team was very respectful of the rest of our house, doing everything within their power to reduce the spread of dust and dirt from the construction areas. All work done was high quality. Of exceptional note was the tile work. Brian at Nashua Tile was extremely helpful in choosing the right style and colors for the bath/shower tiles to coordinate with our counter tops and overall color scheme. Kirk, who installed the tiles did a meticulous job and the result added a real visual “pop” to the two full bathrooms. As with any project of this scope, there were issues to be transcended. When the newly installed shower plumbing leaked, Bob recalled his plumber to address the issue through the hallway wall and arranged for re-plastering and painting. Similarly, when the wrong toilet and fixtures were installed and the faucet leaked, the plumber fixed the issue with little to no impact to the overall schedule. Bob’s allowances were reasonable, allowing for “better” on a scale of “good, better, best”. Our selections, which included some “best” toilets and shower fixtures, came in very close to Bob’s original allowances. Bob’s preferred suppliers were easy to work with, although those with 9 to 5 jobs may find their scarcity of evening and weekend hours problematic. Overall, a great experience!

Pleased with results. Contractor was responsive, clear in presenting timeline for project, followed up faithfully. Excellent work from electricians, drywall, tile, plumbing workers, painters (etc.)

The work was done quickly and efficiently. He even called to let us know he was arriving late, but stayed later in the evening to finish the job. Excellent contractor experience.

Work not started yet, planning for October.

I was really impressed with how responsive Bob has been through the process. He gave us a timely, clear, and reasonable quote, got started when he said he would, and did a great job coordinating all the subs who worked on the project. It took a little longer than we all hoped to finish the project, but only because of the several week delay waiting for the local building inspector. Bob was also really easy to reach thru text message whenever I had a question or request. I would definitely recommend him and his team.

Bob and his crew did a great job, the bathroom is in good shape and everything was done on time and within budget. I'd gladly do business with again.

Rob was most helpful. He evaluated the monies my insurance company was willing to spend for ice dam repair, his concerns with plastering,and need for new skylights. When he learned I already located subcontractors, he felt I could manage the job on my own, but his advice was nonetheless valuable; he recommended a painter for me as well,and followed up when I lost the painter's phone number. Would definitely use if needed

Great. Bob dd not charge us anything and said that we could manage this project ourselves and he was right. He gave us the information for the workers we needed and we arranged to have the work done and paid them directly. We found him to be very knowledgeable and honest.

Wouldn't return phone calls. Will probably have an excuse after reading this.

AHI provided thorough, accurate, and detailed estimates of the work that would need to be done. They provided detailed options and helped me make decide exactly what I wanted to do for the repairs. The estimates were on the top end of the spectrum, for those I received, but AHI's professional and helpful manner convinced me to go with them. AHI provided me with accurate scheduling information with minimal hiccups, properly identified problem areas that were not predictable until removal of the old materials. AHI was willing to promptly adjust their estimates, in writing, both up and down, as the job progressed and issues arose (only 2 unexpected issues, as I recall). AHI personnel were uniformly friendly and willing to explain what they were doing and update me on progress on the fly. They were professional and minimally intrusive. The final product from AHI is a high-quality, fine-looking set of repairs for my home. They matched the shingles on my roof so well that it's difficult to tell that the skylight was removed. The deck that they replaced is an order of magnitude better than the original, and looks a solid as a rock. The siding work they did is excellent. I've had a horrific experience with a previous contractor, so AHI's desire to keep closely to schedule and provide quality work is well worth what they charged me. I'm very pleased with the results and will consider them for future projects. Great job all around.

Unfortunately, when we started pulling down the walls we found a much bigger problem than we had anticipated, therefore postponing the project till we had sufficient funds to cover what really needed to be done. Were I in a stronger financial position at this time, I would hire Ayotte immediately, that's how much they impressed me.

We couldn't be happier! Bob was absolutely amazing to work with! We spoke everyday of the project and if there was ever a question or concern, he responded instantly. Anything unplanned was discussed immediately and taken care of. He was always upfront with any changes that needed to be done and any cost that would go along with it. My kitchen was always spotless at the end of the day as well as a safe place for my kids to be when they weren't working. We got several estimates for this project and he was right on par with all of the others, but far more detailed with what was going to be done. I can't say enough great things about Bob and his crew! I'm so glad my dream kitchen is done, but I was sad to see them go! If you don't hire Bob, you will regret it later!

I could not have been happier with Bob and his team. He was up front and honest with us from the first visit. This was our first time hiring a contractor and Bob was very helpful in walking us through the process. He submitted his bid in a timely manner and worked with us manage the costs giving us honest opinions on our options. His bid was fully detailed so we knew where we stood. The project schedule was difficult as we completed the it over a very snowy winter. Instead of pushing back the schedule, Bob came and helped us clear additional snow from our driveway to eliminate any more delays. We ran into some minor issues during the renovation and Bob was quick to rectify them. If there was an issue with a subcontractor, Bob was able to get them back out to correct it immediately. We are very happy with the results and have two beautiful bathrooms. I would not hesitate to use Bob again in the future.

The project went very well. Bob had multiple sub-contractors who did great work. He kept us informed all along the way about what was done and what was next to be done. He visited almost every day to ensure that the work was being done to his standards and as expected. Overall we are very happy with the finished project.

Bob and his team did a very nice job renovating my bathroom. The job included completely gutting the bathroom: walls, ceiling, flooring, and replacing tub/shower and vanity. Bob also took care of pulling permits from the town and ensuring everything passed inspections. We love our new bathroom and were pleased with the guys Bob pulled together to handle the plumbing, electrical, etc. Bob was very responsive and went out of his way to do the renovations while keeping the toilet in place for as long as possible, since this is our only bathroom in the house. He was completely open to my ideas throughout the project, including my request for some nice wooden shelves, which came out beautiful. The only challenge during the project was scheduling. Since the tile guy wasn't available during the dates he was originally scheduled to work on our reno, we had a week of down-time, waiting for the project to wrap-up. Bob makes himself very accessible to the customer, and it was a relief to know that I could text him if any issues came up. In fact, when we discovered issues with a slow drip from the new vent, he came right out and made changes to the piping in the attic to address the problem. The renovation cost is for everything except the cost of the new vanity and faucet, shower heads and bath hardware, most of the floor and decorative wall tile, and painting of the room. I paid for those expenses separately. In addition to my bathroom renovation, I actually had Bob handle a few smaller projects in my house: replacing basement windows and a storm door. Again, his guys did a great job.
