Bob and his team did a very nice job renovating my bathroom. The job included completely gutting the bathroom: walls, ceiling, flooring, and replacing tub/shower and vanity. Bob also took care of pulling permits from the town and ensuring everything passed inspections. We love our new bathroom and were pleased with the guys Bob pulled together to handle the plumbing, electrical, etc. Bob was very responsive and went out of his way to do the renovations while keeping the toilet in place for as long as possible, since this is our only bathroom in the house. He was completely open to my ideas throughout the project, including my request for some nice wooden shelves, which came out beautiful. The only challenge during the project was scheduling. Since the tile guy wasn't available during the dates he was originally scheduled to work on our reno, we had a week of down-time, waiting for the project to wrap-up. Bob makes himself very accessible to the customer, and it was a relief to know that I could text him if any issues came up. In fact, when we discovered issues with a slow drip from the new vent, he came right out and made changes to the piping in the attic to address the problem. The renovation cost is for everything except the cost of the new vanity and faucet, shower heads and bath hardware, most of the floor and decorative wall tile, and painting of the room. I paid for those expenses separately. In addition to my bathroom renovation, I actually had Bob handle a few smaller projects in my house: replacing basement windows and a storm door. Again, his guys did a great job.

Bob was great to work with for the entire process. I appreciate his honest approach and the fact that he does what he says he's going to do. I have no problem recommending Bob for anyone looking for an honest and hardworking contractor. He was not the cheapest price, but the contractor I trusted most based on the quote. Bob took the time to explain the different pricing options available based on how much of the work I wanted to do myself. I told him I could do the touch up and finish painting work if that would save me a few bucks and he agreed. Not only was Bob able to provide that, he was the only contractor I talked too that mentioned being able to save the old risers and railing as they looked to be in good shape. Once we made our final decision to pick Ayotte Home Improvements, Bob made the process very simple. We worked with his flooring supplier in Nashua that knew Bob and helped us pick out our flooring and then created a drawing of the stairs and the treads and flooring we had chosen. The supplier works directly with Bob, and provides all of the details to Bob. I didn't have to call Bob with any of the details. It couldn't have been an easier process. We had just had brand new floors put in and we were concerned that they would be damaged with all of the construction work being done. Bob made sure there was protective coating on the floor all the way out to our front door so no damage was done. I showed Bob a couple other small projects I had going on and he offered some advice for me free of charge. I appreciated the fact he wasn't trying to nickle and dime me and it just built my trust with him that much more. After everything was done, Bob walked around the project with me and explained everything and even offered some advice for the finish work I agreed to take on myself. He made sure I was happy with the work and I'm confident if I wasn't he would have made it right. My friends and family all comment on how beautiful the stairs look now and we couldn't be happier.

We were impressed with Bob from the first visit. ? We had a rough idea of what we wanted but after an hour of discussion with Bob and listening to his suggestions we knew where we wanted to go. ?Other contractors listened to what we had to say and gave us quotes but didn't offer the insight Bob brought to the project. ?His quote wasn't the least expensive but you do get what you pay for. ?All workers and subcontractors were efficient, skilled and always cleaned up at the end of the day. ?This was a months long project with us living in the house through most of the construction. ?Everyone went out of their way to make it as good a situation for us as possible. ?We're very happy with the work and will be using Bob in the future.

Crew arrived Friday morning, got right to work, and finished about 1/2 the job before quitting time. They were back after the weekend and finished the job mid afternoon. The workers were polite, cleaned up after work completely, and they and the owner had outstanding communication and customer service skills. We were impressed with their work ethic and professionalism, as well as the solid and attractive construction of our new steps and landing. We would definitely hire this company in the future.

Bob responded to my initial phone call the next day and we scheduled a time for him to to come out to the house to do an estimate the following week. When he did, after about half an hour he realized my budget wasn't going to allow me to do all that I planned and that hiring him wasn't the best option for me. To my surprise and gratitude he spent another half hour suggesting what I could do to improve my bathroom's appearance and even obtained the number of another service provider to work toward that end.

It went really well. Bob was mindful of our deadline, and made sure we knew what was happening at every step. There was no waiting around wondering when the work was going to get done. He was quick to respond to our initial call. He listened to our concerns and worked with us on solutions. He kept within budget, considering we added on extras, and changed little things here and there. He didn't try to sell us into anything, and I feel he had a good grasp on what we wanted from the project. His work was clean, concise, and done in a timely fashion. His demeanor was friendly and relaxed which made it easy to talk to him and ask questions. He has good rapport with the people he subcontracts (i.e.. plumber, electrician) so I really felt like they were working as a team to get things done and done correctly. My family is so happy with the results! We now have 2 bathrooms, an office we didn't have before, and an inviting family room downstairs. I feel like we have just doubled our living space!

Mr. Ayotte was very friendly and worked to figure out what we wanted specifically for our project. He clearly wanted to figure out how to keep costs down although his estimate ended up being higher than the contractor we ended up choosing. He is not at all phased by dogs, which is a plus.

I called and was promised he would stop by later in the day, have a look and call me later. Never heard back again.

Bob was really great right from the start, very friendly and thorough with his explanations.? He met us for an initial visit where we told him our basic plan for what we wanted in our approx 600 square foot basement.? Then he paid us another visit with his electrician and HVAC guys so he could give us an exact quote for all the work.? All in all, the project took about four weeks.? We had Bob build a playroom for the kids, an office, a storage closet, and wall off a small unfinished laundry area.? He did metal stud framing, electrical, HVAC, Roxul insulation, moisture-resistant drywall, doors, window trim, and trim work on the stairs.? We did the painting and carpeting ourselves after Bob was done.? Bob was a great guy to have work on our house.? His crew were all nice and professional, too.? No worries about having any of them in our house.? Our basement looks awesome!? We recommend Ayotte Home Improvements to anyone.

Everything went well.? Bob and his crew are true professionals.? I had a few ideas about how I wanted the basement to look but wasn't sure? how it could be done in a relatively small space.? I live in a condo/townhouse and only wanted half the basement finished.? Bob was very helpful with his design ideas and I was totally impressed with the results.? He exceeded my expectations by finishing the task on time and maybe a few days early.? He is very upfront with costs, expectations, and time management.? He frequently updated me with his teams productivity and wanted my input regarding such.? The results are fabulous!? My friends have complimented the fact that I still have plenty of "storage space" in the unfinished part of my basement and a beautiful room in the other.? This room consists of a reading nook with under-the-bench storage and above shelving; a small office area; and a room for watching t.v. and entertaining.? I chose to do the painting myself...Not an easy task but Bob was there to answer my questions about that as well.? Once the carpeting is in I will have beautiful pictures to share with family and friends.? I couldn't be happier and will definitely call this company for my bathroom and kitchen in the future.

He continues to do a good job. Everyone that works for him and is in the house makes sure it is done correctly. I can be picky and he is good. I have been very happy with everything he has done.

He was very professional, open to discussion, and offered the solution that was right for me instead of pitching me something that was on his agenda. His work has come out pretty well. In both cases I had re-finishing to do.

He seemed very thorough, very dependable and we like him a lot. I thought his price was reasonable.

Bob takes the extra time to make sure things are done correctly and to make sure his customers are happy. He also made sure everyone he has in to work on things has done everything correctly and even made sure things I had done on my own were correct. I highly recommend Bob and plan on rehiring him myself to refinish the rest of my house in the future. Bob has not only been a terrific contractor but someone I would now consider a great friend and thank Angie's list for allowing me to find him.

Bob and his team did an absolutely outstanding job...we are so thrilled with the level of quality, the level of managing expectations...the complete and utter honesty...he was unobtrusive and knew what he was doing from the get go...they weren't the least expensive, but I felt the most confidence with him...and here is the best kicker...he finished at least 7 days EARLY and we were UNDER budget...I've had many houses and projects and he was the first and only company to do this...if you don't hire Ayotte home improvement you are making a HUGE mistake...don't be pennywise and pound foolish...so thrilled!

We were very happy with them. He was extremely thorough and he was very good. So we’re going to end up going with him. He checked everything. He went up to our attic and looked at the roof’s lighting. He went in the basement and checked the connections and everything. He was very thorough on what he’s going to do to protect my house during the bathroom process.

When my husband and I decided to finish the basement, we checked Angie's list and found Ayotte Home Improvement had a very high rating. We were not disappointed! Bob Ayotte was very professional, great to work with and always on time. He really listened to what we wanted and he also had many creative ideas and options. Bob does wonderful work, from installing new windows, to laying ceramic tile, to installing an oak staircase, to installing doors and completing the finish carpentry. The plumber and electrician he brought in were also excellent. We are so happy with the final result and we would definitely use Bob again for future projects.

Bob was sixteen minutes early that was the first A He had only one helper second A While Bob formed his plan of attack his helper set up their work stations third A By the time 15 minutes had passed from arrival they had started the reconstruction. Definition: re-constructions remove and correct all old shoddy construction then replace with new up to code framing and finish work to 2 out side doorways. Bob and his helper never stopped working from the time they started till lunch time. 4th A First entry was re constructed in 4 hours. 5th A Lunch included travel time to and from eatery total time 28 minutes. 6th A After lunch the second custom door reconstruction was completed. They were done by 15:30 7th A From 15:30 to 16:00 they cleaned up the major mess they had made during the re-construction ordeal 8th A recommend to others: DEFINITELY reuse: DEFINITELY

I've worked with Ayotte Home Improvements a couple of times and it's worked out very well. They're very pleasant and very expert. He's very professional. The expertise and the work he's done is fine.

I chose him to do the job because he had the best estimate and was professional and courteous too. He put the door in as soon as he got it and did a great job. There was quite a bit of rot under the door and he took out the old boards and replaced them. He explained everything as he did it. He is very easy to communicate with. Great job.

Went great. Bob was very thorough and takes a lot of pride in his work. He worked closely with both my wife and I to choose and install new tile, tub walls, roof and fixtures. He even worked with us to help install a custom quartz countertop that we purchased separately (most contractors wouldn't be willing to offer tips and help since we didn't purchase it through them). He also allowed me to do a lot of the demo to save money, although that is more difficult than it looks so I'd think twice before doing it yourself. Overall we are very happy with our experience.

We hired Bob to do a closet renovation for our master bedroom and he was excellent! We have a 40+ year-old 3-br, 2-bath cape and the closet in the master bedroom opened up into the eaves of the house. My husband and I had approximately 7 feet of hanging space for both of us. There was a single door and no light and no storage at all. The only existing light was a bare light bulb way inside attached to one of the joists which was less than ideal. As a result, we both had clothing scattered throughout the house in other closets. In addition to the closet, we were also having insulation done by another contractor. Bob was excellent when it came to working around the other contractor's schedule. Bob came in and did the demo of the closet, opened up an access hole in our ceiling so the insulation contractors could get into the attic, and created a second door opening on December 20th and 21st. Since we have 3 very curious cats, Bob also attached a sheet of plywood over the new door opening so the little fur balls wouldn't get in there and cause trouble. Bob came back in early January, after the insulation guys were done, and started construction. He added strapping in the closet and did the framing. He hired a subcontractor (Progressive Drywall of Nashua) to hang sheetrock and do mudding and taping. Prior to the drywall guys coming in, Bob came to the house and laid down drop cloths on our rugs and put plastic sheeting over our bedroom furniture to minimize dust. When the drywall guys were done, my husband and I painted the closet. Then Bob came back and installed the new closet doors and hardware, baseboards, door moldings and installed the new lights and switches and also did our bathroom light/fan and switches. Since we were changing the electrical service in the closet and we've seen some funky electrical issues in this house, he pulled a permit and brought in his uncle who is a master electrician. In addition to the closet, we also had a fan for our upstairs bathroom installed. While his uncle was in the bathroom doing his thing, Bob was up in the attic hooking up the fan to the exhaust, so having both of them worked out very well. He was also great about handling an issue I threw at him. Our bedroom door was not installed properly. As a result, the doorjamb where the door latches was not plumb and the door didn?t latch which drove me nuts. He was able to fix the issue in less than an hour and we were happy to pay a little extra just to have that done. Bob was always punctual, professional and very personable ? he has a great sense of humor. He cleaned up at the end of each day (including vacuuming!) and communicated with us throughout the whole process so we knew what was going on. He answered any questions we had and was able to explain things to us in a way we?d understand. We were able to bounce ideas off of each other and he came up with some very creative solutions. We wanted to have access into the eaves so Bob framed an opening in the back of the closet, then he added trim and we had decided to use MDF to cover the opening (and for shelves). We were trying to figure out how to attach the MDF so that it could be easily removed in case we wanted to use the eaves for storage. Bob came up with the idea to use magnets like you?d use on cabinets and it worked brilliantly! We can pop the panel off and easily replace it in a matter of seconds. We now have a bright, clean, roomy closet with plenty of hanging space and storage for the both of us (including my shoes). Bob was great to work with and we look forward to working with him on future projects.
