Susie painted two bedrooms, adjoining bathrooms and the bedroom and bathroom doors that were replaced. While she was here, I asked if she could schedule a day in the future to come back and paint all the bi-fold closet doors upstairs. These are metal doors with raised panels. She went ahead and painted the 5 sets of bi-fold closet doors while she was here in addition to the other work. I cannot say enough about how great Susie is. She does absolutely fantastic work and is one of the most delightful people to work with. She is very cheerful and always helpful. Everything looks wonderful. She was here for 3 and a half days and I could not be more pleased with the outcome. I highly recommend Susie for any painting work!

Excellent quality job was done. Susanne communicated closely throughout the five days of work. She was punctual, courteous, and totally professional. She did everything she said she would do and then some. Removal of the popcorn left a thin unpainted line along the top of the walls. She painted these lines so the wall-ceiling joint looks perfect. This is an extremely messy job, but her cleanup of the area was also extremely well done.

We'd been painting all the rooms in our townhouse and the next logical area to paint was the kitchen and stairwell. Having to paint those high walls in the stairwell was a daunting prospect and it would have cost us much more to get the proper equipment to do it. So we thought about having a professional painter do just the stairwell. But then I thought, why stop there? Let's get an estimate, at least, of what it would cost to do the entire area: kitchen, entry hall, stairwell and upstairs hall. They were all planned to be the same color. Plus we had a stair railing upstairs that had gotten scratched and needed to be refinished. When Susie came in and gave us her estimate, we were blown away by how reasonable it was. Having painted the living room and basement, we knew how much work painting can be. So we scheduled a date to have them do it. They got the entire job done in about a day and a half and everything looks great! This included matching the stain color for the upstairs railing with what already existed. Susie and her crew were incredibly wonderful during the whole experience. And they left everything very clean each day they were here. We were so pleased that before she left on that second day, we had her give an estimate for painting the rest of the upstairs rooms. Two bedrooms and two baths. Once we settle on color choices, we'll be calling her back to schedule that also.

Susie is very quality conscious. Her estimate was detailed and thorough. she did not rush through it but took the time to udnerstand what I wanted and to even suggest other little things she could do to make for a higher quality finished product, giving me options with associated costs. Her prices were a little higher than other estimates I received but I had the sense that she would be worth it. I was right. Her work is excellent. I broke down the job into three separate projects. She prepped and painted my master bath & bedroom in September 2011. Then I called her to arrange job #2, my daughter's bedroom which included stripping wallpaper and painting walls, ceiling and trim. She completed that job in 1-1/2 days and it is spectacular. I will be arranging for her to complete the last project from the estimate soon. In addition to Susie's quality work, her prices remained the same as from her estimate, and she is a joy to work with. Very friendly and kind. On a scale of 1-10, she is an 11. Really outstanding in all aspects.

We've used Ideal Painting twice this year, and both were huge jobs. ~January - went very well. She even came back when one of the settling cracks re-formed, and didn't just paint over it but screwed the two sheets of drywall together (cause of the crack), then painted. July - When she noticed that the trim on one of the garage doors had water damage and was shredded at the bottom, she offered to replace that before painting. Front and garage doors repainted. Everything looks amazing. When Susanne and her team are done, it looks better than new. The quotes can seem a bit pricey, however this is a textbook case of getting what you pay for. She doesn't just come in and paint over surfaces, she and her team make sure the surfaces are pristine, and if they aren't, get to the real root of the problem and fix it. And if it's outside her expertise, like some complex faux painted murals we have in part of the house (original owners), she provided the name of a colleague who could come in and patch them up. Extremely helpful since we did not have any contact information for the original artist and really had nowhere else to go.We are moving soon, and are planning to leave the contact information for Ideal Painting with the new owners, with comments to not use anyone else!

I called Ideal Painting after seeing their high marks on Angie's List. Susie Hall was everything the other reviewers said and more. She was fabulous, and the work is top notch. Before I talk about the work - which was absolutely the highest quality - let me say that Susie Hall is a sheer pleasure. She's as picky about her work as you want a professional to be, but she's also just a real pleasure to have in your home. My young daughters absolutely loved her (even the one who did NOT want that room painted!) and I was 100% comfortable having her in my home, with my children or when I was not home. I cannot recommend her highly enough. Our projects: Our master bedroom had hideous wallpaper when we moved in, and 12 years later, it remained the ugliest room in our house. At one point, we'd tried to remove the paper, but found it was stuck fast, so the paper was half off, the walls gouged out from our efforts, and it was just BAD. A month ago, my husband remarked, "I'm tired of waking up in Beruit." That's when I decided to surprise him for his birthday by having the room done. When I called Ideal Painting, Susie came over within a day to give me an estimate. Her rates were very reasonable (1/2 of an estimate from one of the other highly rated companies), and she was able to start the work right on my husband's birthday, as I'd hoped, and timed her arrival for 15 minutes after he left for work. On the first day, she moved all of our furniture to the center of the room and covered it. Then she removed all of the glued-on wallpaper and patched the walls, filled nail holes in the walls, and repaired and filled gaps in all of our window trim. She also painted the ceiling. I gave her my paint samples, and she bought the paint, at her cost, to save me some money. On day two, the room got its first coats of paint, and Susie measured and cut new baseboard trim for me, and painted it. On day three, she inspected the room carefully and re-filled any little dings in the wall, then repainted them. She put up all the trim, and caulked it, then painted over the caulking, so there are no gaps along the wall (which isn't always so square). When she was finished, I asked her if she could paint the dining room trim, which she did, including our in-window bird feeder. My husband couldn't believe his eyes when he walked into this bedroom. It's so beautifully done --- our old gouged-out, ugly walls are gone - replaced by such professional looking work. We couldn't be happier, and I would highly recommend her to anyone. Perfect, I couldn't have asked for better.

They arrived, went straight to work and finished the job in a single day. They moved the furniture took everything on the wall. When they were done, they returned the furniture to where it belonged and left the items for the wall for us to replace after the paint dried thoroughly. They cleaned up completely and left no mess behind. All the while they were professional and courteous. The quality of their work is excellent and they have quoted an additional job for us.
